Oxidation of 1,4-Dihydropyridines under Mild and Heterogeneous Conditions

A combination of NaHSO₄.H₂O and NaNO₂ in the presence of wet SiO₂ was used as an effective oxidizing agent for the oxidation of dihydropyridines to their corresponding pyridine derivatives at room temperature with excellent yields.     

Ionic Liquid Iodinating Reagent for Mild and Efficient Iodination of Aromatic and Heteroaromatic Amines and Terminal Alkynes

Hexamethylene bis(N-methylimidazolium) bis(dichloroiodate) (HMBMIBDCI), an ionic liquid iodinating reagent, have been prepared and characterized. Its ability to perform iodination reactions with a variety of substrates has been explored. In general, iodination reactions of aromatic and heteroaromatic amines proceed with good yields in the absence of solvent. Reactions of terminal alkynes in the presence of 1,8-diazabicyclo [5.4.O] undec-7-ene and tetrahydrofuran have been investigated as well.

Synthesis of New 2-Aryl Substituted 2,3-Dihydroquinazoline-4(1H)-ones Under Solvent-Free Conditions,Using Molecular Iodine as a Mild and Efficient Catalyst

A simple, inexpensive, and efficient one-pot synthesis of 2,3-dihydroquinazoline-4(1H)-one derivatives under solvent-free conditions using a catalytic amount of iodine with excellent product yields is reported. This methodology provides easy, quantitative access to various 2,3-dihydroquinazoline-4(1H)-one derivatives, using commercially available iodine as a catalyst.     

Synthesis of New and Novel N-Protected 1-Aminoalkyl-2-naphthol Derivatives

A series of three-component reactions has been carried out using HClO₄-SiO₂ as a versatile heterogeneous catalyst. A series of new and novel N-protected 1-aminoalkyl-2-naphthol derivatives have been prepared under thermal solvent-free reaction conditions. In all cases, the reaction conditions were very simple and high-yielding.     

Fabrication of Chitosan‐Multiwall Carbon Nanotube Nanocomposite Containing Ferri/Ferrocyanide: Application for Simultaneous Detection of D‐Penicillamine and Tryptophan

We report a simple and effective strategy for fabrication of the nanocomposite containing chitosan (CS) and multiwall carbon nanotube (MWNT) coated on a glassy carbon electrode (GCE). The characterization of the modified electrode (CS‐MWNT/GC) was carried out using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and UV–vis absorption spectroscopy. The electrochemical behavior of CS‐MWNT/GC electrode was investigated and compared with the electrochemical behavior of chitosan modified GC (CS/GC), multiwalled carbon nanotube modified GC (MWNT/GC) and unmodified GC using cyclic voltammetry (CV) and electron impedance spectroscopy (EIS). The chitosan films are electrochemically inactive; similar background charging currents are observed at bare GC. The chitosan films are permeable to anionic Fe(CN)₆^3?/4? (FC) redox couple. Electrochemical parameters, including apparent diffusion coefficient for the Fe(CN)₆^3?/4? redox probe at FC/CS‐MWNT/GC electrode is comparable to values reported for cast chitosan films. This modified electrode also showed electrocatalytic effect for the simultaneous determination of D‐penicillamine (D‐PA) and tryptophan (Trp). The detection limit of 0.9 μM and 4.0 μM for D‐PA and Trp, respectively, makes this nanocomposite very suitable for determination of them with good sensitivity.     

The reduction of rotational ambiguity in soft-modeling by introducing hard models

Rotational ambiguity is a major problem in the application of soft-modeling analysis to a variety of multivariate mixture resolution problems and particularly important in the analysis of kinetic data. Soft-modeling analyses rely on constraints that restrict the concentration profiles and/or the spectral responses of all components. The main goal of this work is to demonstrate how a hard-modeling constraint on concentration profiles drastically decreases the extent of the rotational ambiguity. Therefore, in the present paper the discussion is focused on systems in which hard-modeling information is available. The results of simulated examples reveal that the utilized hard constraint decreases the rotational ambiguity in estimated concentration profile even components that do not take part in the explicit model. In addition, the rate constant of known reaction is determined in this method.     

A new method for the mononitration of phenol derivatives by poly(4-vinylpyridinium nitrate) and silica sulfuric acid under mild conditions

This procedure works efficiently for high selective mono nitration of phenol and substituted phenol to corresponding nitro compounds in moderate to high yield using poly(4-vinylpyridinium nitrate) and silica sulfuric acid in dichloromethane at room temperature.     

高有机可溶性聚酰胺负载磷钨酸(PW_(12)/PA):合成1,3,5-三芳基-2-吡唑啉衍生物的高效催化剂(英文)

A novel compound constructed from polyoxometalate (H3PW12O40,PW12) and poly(amidoamine) (PA) was prepared at room temperature in an aqueous solution by an impregnation method.A series of novel 1,3,5-triaryl-2-pyrazoline derivatives was synthesized by the reaction between chalcone and phenylhydrazine in the presence of the title compound,PW12/PA,in high yields.The structures of the compounds obtained were determined by IR and 1H NMR spectra.
