The interference fragmentation function translates the fragmentation of a quark with a transverse projection of the spin into an azimuthal asymmetry of two final-state hadrons. In e(+)e(-) annihilation the product of two interference fragmentation functions is measured. We report nonzero asymmetries for pairs of charge-ordered π(+)π(-) pairs, which indicate a significant interference fragmentation function in this channel. The results are obtained from a 672 fb(-1) data sample that contains 711 × 10(6) π(+)π(-) pairs and was collected at and near the Υ(4S) resonance, with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e(+)e(-) collider.  相似文献

Dielectric properties of polymer blend of polyvinylidenefluoride (PVDF) and polysulfone (PSF) of different wt. % have been studied to understand the molecular motion and their relaxation behavior in the frequency range of 100 Hz to 10 kHz at different temperatures between 30 and 190 °C. The dielectric constant of the blend decreased with frequency and increased with the increasing temperature and PSF content in the blend. The magnitude of dielectric loss also increased with increase in temperature and PSF content. The observed characteristic has been consistently explained in terms of dipolar motions and the plasticization effect brought about by blending of PSF with PVDF. At constant frequency and temperature, the blend follows a linear relationship between logarithm of their dielectric constant and different ratios of blend. The appearance of a peak for each concentration in dielectric loss suggests the presence of relaxing dipoles in the blend. In addition of PSF with PVDF, the peak shifts toward higher frequency side suggesting the speed up the relaxation process. AC dielectric data is also combined with thermally stimulated depolarization current (TSDC) data which is generally studied for low-frequency dielectric properties of polymers blends so as to produce the results in a wide frequency range. The glass transition temperature (Tg) of the blend was studied by differential scanning calorimetric technique (DSC), the Tg was compared and correlated with TSDC peak. The blend samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) to study the formation of blend and micro structural properties of the materials. The shifting of peak toward lower diffraction angle side confirms the reduction in particle size with increasing amorphous content in the blend.  相似文献

An extended three-body force shell model (ETSM) has been applied to investigate the static and dynamic properties of KCN x Cl1−x for the compositionx = 0.56 and 1.0 at 300 K. The phonon dispersion curves computed by us are compared with the single crystal neutron diffraction data. The unusual features of these curves are the upward curvature seen in some of the acoustic branches. This is a result ofK-dependent softening of the phonon due to translation-rotation coupling. The transverse acoustic branch is more soft near the zone centre.  相似文献

Heat capacities were measured for poly(4-methylstyrene) [300–500K], poly(4-fluorostyrene) [130–350K], poly(4-chlorostyrene) [300–550K], poly(4-bromostyrene) [300–550K], poly(4-iodostyrene) [300–550K] and poly(styrene-co-divinylbenzene) with 1, 2, 4, 8, and 12 wt.% divinylbenzene (technical grade) [300–550K]. Polystyrene and poly(α-methylstyrene) data were found to match the ATHAS data bank collections. Crosslinking causes no significant change in heat capacity, but substitution does. The heat capacities in the solid state are evaluated using approximate group and skeletal vibration spectra. Glass transitions are discussed, and full thermodynamic functions (Cp, H, S, G) can be calculated for amorphous, crystalline, and deuterated polystyrene as well as poly(α-methylstyrene). Glassy polystyrene has an entropy of 7.5 J K?1 mol?1 at absolute zero. Changes of the heat capacity at the glass transition are explained and are predicted to go to zero for 50% poly(styrene-co-divinylbenzene) at about 550K.  相似文献

This report summarises the activities of the working group on ‘Physics beyond the Standard Model’. The results of investigations in incorporatingR-parity in grand unification, the possibility of a light charged Higgs boson in extension of MSSM and radiative generation of neutral vector boson self-couplings within the MSSM are described. Also given is an account of activities in neutrino physics, namely a proposal for a study of the atmospheric muon anomaly in deep underground mines, a field theoretic study of neutrino oscillations and a mechanism to generate appropriate masses of three active plus one sterile neutrino species.  相似文献

Evolution of G-band modes of single metallic carbon nanotubes with the Fermi level shift is examined by simultaneous Raman and electron transport studies. Narrow Lorentzian line shape and upshifted frequencies are observed near the van Hove singularities. However, all G modes soften and broaden at the band crossing point. The concurrent appearance of an asymmetric Fano line shape at this point indicates that phonon-continuum coupling is intrinsic to single metallic tubes. The apparent Lorentzian line shapes of as-synthesized metallic tubes are induced by O2 adsorption causing the Fermi level shift.  相似文献

The problem of temperature distribution and heat transfer for laminar flow through two parallel porous disks of different permeability, has been investigated when the flow is entirely due to injection and/or suction at the two disks. Viscous dissipation terms have been included in the energy equation and the injection and/or suction velocities at the two disks are assumed to be small. The boundaries are kept at constant temperatures. The variation of temperature and Nusselt numbers at the two disks has been graphically depicted for various values of the injection and suction velocities.  相似文献

The problem of combined, natural and forced convection for the laminar flow in a vertical channel of equilateral triangular cross-section is discussed. Internal heat generation is assumed to be uniform. The coupled equations in velocity and temperature are solved using equitriangular transform. Expressions for pressure drop parameter and Nusselt number are obtained and their behaviour for different values of Rayleigh number and heat generation function, is studied.  相似文献

Flow of an incompressible viscous fluid under constant pressure gradient in a porous annulus is considered, with surface mass transfer, both in the radial and circumferential directions. Expressions for the fully developed velocities are then obtained. With these fully developed velocities on a section of the annulus, on which the origin of co-ordinates lies, the downstream decay of the swirl velocity is analysed, subject to the condition that the velocities on the boundaries are now purely radial. The perturbations in the axial and radial velocities, caused by the decaying swirl, are also determined. It is observed that the decay of the swirl velocity is faster for suction at the inner boundary and injection at the outer andvice versa.  相似文献
