13C, 14N, 15N, 17O, and 35Cl NMR parameters, including chemical shift tensors and quadrupolar tensors for 14N, 17O, and 35Cl, are calculated for the crystalline forms of various amino acids under periodic boundary conditions and complemented by experiment where necessary. The 13C shift tensors and 14N electric field gradient (EFG) tensors are in excellent agreement with experiment. Similarly, static 17O NMR spectra could be precisely simulated using the calculation of the full chemical shift (CS) tensors and their relative orientation with the EFG tensors. This study allows correlations to be found between hydrogen bonding in the crystal structures and the 17O NMR shielding parameters and the 35Cl quadrupolar parameters, respectively. Calculations using the two experimental structures for L-alanine have shown that, while the calculated isotropic chemical shift values of 13C and 15N are relatively insensitive to small differences in the experimental structure, the 17O shift is markedly affected.  相似文献

The thermometric determination of the Landolt effect applied to the hydrogen peroxide—iodide—ascorbic acid reaction is described. The appropriate kinetic equations are used to interpret the thermometric curve and the calibration curve of the indicator reaction catalysed by molybdenum. The effects of the iodide, hydrogen peroxide, and hydrogen ion concentrations on the shape of the thermometric curves are discussed. This thermometric method can be used to determine micro amounts of iron, zirconium, thorium, vanadium, molybdenum and tungsten, with satisfactory accuracy and precision.  相似文献

The paper presents the results of a study of M 2 I M II(SO4)2 compounds withM I= K, Rb, Cs or Tl, andM II=Cu or Ni, in the interval from room temperature to the melting temperature. All the compounds studied show endo- or exothermic excursions in their DTA curves, corresponding to phase transitions connected with colour changes of the compounds. For M 2 I Cu(SO4)2, whereM I is K or Tl, several modifications could be prepared at laboratory temperature, probably distortion isomers. No modifications of this type could be prepared, however, for M 2 I Ni(SO4)2 compounds.
Zusammenfassung Die Ergebnisse einer Untersuchung von M 2 I M II(SO4)2-Verbindungen Cs, Tl;M II=Cu, Ni) im Temperaturbereich von Raum- bis Schmelztemperatur werden beschrieben. Alle untersuchten Verbindungen zeigen in ihren DTA-Kurven mit Farbänderungen einhergehende, durch Phasenumwandlungen bedingte endo- und exotherme Peaks. Bei Laboratoriumstemperatur konnten verschiedene Modifikationen von M 2 I Cu(SO4)2 (mitM I gleich K oder Tl) hergestellt werden, wobei es sich wahrscheinlich um Distorsionsisomere handelt. Keine Modifikationen dieses Typs konnten jedoch für M 2 I Ni(SO4)2 erhalten werden.

Twelve novel oxo-technetium and oxo-rhenium complexes based on N2S2-, N2SO- or N3S-tetradentate semi-rigid ligands have been synthesised and studied herein. By reacting the ligands with a slight excess of suitable [MO]3+ precursor (ReOCl3(PPh3)2 or [NBu4][99gTcOCl4]), the monoanionic complexes of general formula [MO(Ph-XN2S)]- could be easily produced in high yield. The complexes have been characterized by means of IR, electrospray mass spectrometry, elemental analysis, NMR and conductimetry. The crystal structures of [PPh4][ReO(Ph-ON2S)] 1b and [NBu4][99gTcO(Ph-ON2S)] 1c have been established. The [MO]3+ moiety was coordinated via the two deprotonated amide nitrogens, the oxygen and the terminal sulfur atoms in 1b and 1c. In both compounds, the ON2S coordination set is in the equatorial plane, and the complexes adopted a distorted square-pyramidal geometry with an axial oxo-group. The chemical and structural identity of the different prototypic complexes (rhenium, 99gTc complexes and their corresponding 99mTc radiocomplexes) have been also established by a comparative HPLC study.  相似文献

The isolation, structural characterization and electronic properties of three new six-coordinated Mn(III) complexes, [Mn(bpea)(F)(3)] (1), [Mn(bpea)(N(3))(3)] (2), and [Mn(terpy)(F)(3)] (3) are reported (bpea = N,N-bis(2-pyridylmethyl)-ethylamine; terpy = 2,2':6',2' '-terpyridine). As for [Mn(terpy)(N(3))(3)] (4) (previously described by Limburg J.; Vrettos J. S.; Crabtree R. H.; Brudvig G. W.; de Paula J. C.; Hassan A.; Barra A-L.; Duboc-Toia C.; Collomb M-N. Inorg. Chem. 2001, 40, 1698), all these complexes exhibit a Jahn-Teller distortion of the octahedron characteristic of high-spin Mn(III) (S = 2). The analysis of the crystallographic data shows an elongation along the tetragonal axis of the octahedron for complexes 1 and 3, while complex 2 presents an unexpected compression. The electronic properties were investigated using a high-field and high-frequency EPR study performed between 5 and 15 K (190-575 GHz). The spin Hamiltonian parameters determined in solid state are in agreement with the geometry of the complexes observed in the crystal structures. A negative D value found for 1 and 3 is related to the elongated tetragonal distortion, whereas the positive D value determined for 2 is in accordance with a compressed octahedron. The high E/D values, in the range of 0.103 to 0.230 for all complexes, are correlated with the highly distorted geometry present around the Mn(III) ion. HF-EPR experiments were also performed on complex 1 in solution and show that the D value is the only spin Hamiltonian parameter which is slightly modified compared to the solid state (D = -3.67 cm(-1) in solid state; D = -3.95 cm(-1) in solution).  相似文献

This communication presents the first functionalization of a hydrogen-terminated silicon-rich silicon nitride (Si3Nx) surface with a well-defined, covalently attached organic monolayer. Properties of the resulting monolayers are monitored by measurement of the static water contact angle, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), and infrared reflection absorption spectroscopy (IRRAS). Further functionalization was performed by reaction of Si3Nx with a trifluoroethanol ester alkene (CH2=CH-(CH2)8CO2CH2CF3) followed by basic hydrolysis to afford the corresponding carboxylic acid-terminated monolayer with hydrophilic properties. These results show that Si3Nx can be functionalized with a tailor-made organic monolayer, has highly tunable wetting properties, and displays significant potential for further functionalization.  相似文献

The ionic transport properties of several cations (H(+), Na(+), and Zn(2+)) across sulfonated ion-exchange membranes modified with an amine were investigated by the measurement of current-voltage curves to determine the effect of the surface modification of the membrane. The membrane was modified by chlorosulfonation and amination with a diamine (N,N-dimethylethylenediamine) and an amine (isoamylamine) to form a sulfonamide bond between amine groups and the surface layer. In the case of the modification with the diamine, the terminal amine was protonated in acidic media or quaternized with methyl iodide. The presence of a positively charged layer on the two sides of the membrane strongly decreased the limiting current flowing across the membrane in the presence of a 1:1 electrolyte such as HCl or HNO(3) due to an increase of the resistance of the membrane. In the case of divalent cations such as Na(+) and Zn(2+), electrostatic repulsion also contributes to the decrease of the limiting current. The presence of divalent anions seems to increase the limiting current somewhat due to their preconcentration within the cationic layer, which facilitates their subsequent transport across the membrane. When only one face of the membrane was modified, the current-voltage measurements showed that the membrane did not behave like a bipolar membrane. For one-side (under forward polarization) and two-side modified membranes, counterions are slightly blocked in the membrane by the cationic layer, which led to a decrease of the membrane conductivity during electrodialysis.  相似文献

Semiautomatic and automatic amperometry and constant-current potentiometry were used to follow the course of catalytic titration of gold(III) with potassium iodide. The Ce(IV)-As(III) system in the presence of sulfuric acid was used as the indicator reaction. The possibilities of the application of two types of graphite electrodes were investigated. The effect of concentration of the indicator reaction components, and the presence of organic solvents and acids on the shape of the catalytic titration curves was studied. Amounts of 80–900 μg of gold(III) were determined with a relative standard deviation less than 1.1%. The results obtained are in good agreement with those of comparable methods.  相似文献

The fate of DNA and protein transgenic sequences in products derived from animals fed transgenic crops has recently raised public interest. Sensitive molecular tests targeting the Bt176 genetic construct and the transgenic Cry1Ab protein were developed to determine whether plant sequences, especially transgenic sequences, are present in animal products. A protocol for total DNA extraction and purification from cow whole blood samples was first drawn up and assessed by spiking with known amounts of DNA from Bt176 maize. The limit of detection for transgenic sequences (35S promoter and Bt176-specific junction sequence) was determined by both the polymerase chain reaction-enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (PCR-ELISA) and the 5'-nuclease PCR assay. Four additional PCR systems were built to substantiate the results. The first detects a mono-copy maize-specific sequence (ADH promoter). Two others target multi-copy sequences from plant nucleus (26S rRNA gene) and chloroplast (psaB gene). The last one, used as a positive control, targets a mono-copy animal sequence (alpha(s1)-casein gene). Both methods detected a minimum spiking at 25 copies of Bt176 maize/mL in 10 mL whole blood samples. The sandwich ELISA kit used detected down to 1 ng transgenic Cry1Ab protein/mL spiked whole blood.  相似文献

Summary A homology model building study of cytochrome P450 2D6 has been carried out based on the crystal structure of cytochrome P450 101. The primary sequences of P450 101 and P450 2D6 were aligned by making use of an automated alignment procedure. This alignment was adjusted manually by matching -helices (C, D, G, I, J, K and L) and -sheets (3/4) of P450 101 that are proposed to be conserved in membrane-bound P450s (Ouzounis and Melvin [Eur. J. Biochem., 198 (1991) 307]) to the corresponding regions in the primary amino acid sequence of P450 2D6. Furthermore, -helices B, B and F were found to be conserved in P450 2D6. No significant homology between the remaining regions of P450 101 and P450 2D6 could be found and these regions were therefore deleted. A 3D model of P450 2D6 was constructed by copying the coordinates of the residues from the crystal structure of P450 101 to the corresponding residues in P450 2D6. The regions without a significant homology with P450 101 were not incorporated into the model. After energy-minimization of the resulting 3D model of P450 2D6, possible active site residues were identified by fitting the substrates debrisoquine and dextrometorphan into the proposed active site. Both substrates could be positioned into a planar pocket near the heme region formed by residues Val370, Pro371, Leu372, Trp316, and part of the oxygen binding site of P450 2D6. Furthermore, the carboxylate group of either Asp100 or Asp301 was identified as a possible candidate for the proposed interaction with basic nitrogen atom(s) of the substrates. These findings are in accordance with a recently published predictive model for substrates of P450 2D6 [Koymans et al., Chem. Res. Toxicol., 5 (1992) 211].  相似文献
