Crack initiation and stable crack growth under monotonic loading in steels has been studied using an elastic-plastic finite element analysis. The fracture criterion used for crack initiation and stable crack growth was the critical strain energy density. In addition the shift core method for the analysis of crack extension was used. In the shift core modelling method, crack advance is simulated by moving the coordinates of the core region which surrounds the crack tip, to obtain the stiffness reduction. Simultaneously the core itself geometrically undergoes a simple rigid-body motion or translation during the crack extension. The analytically calculated and experimentally measured load for crack initiation and the subsequent stable crack growth agreed well. 相似文献

and SM first increased up to a maximum value and then steadily decreased, probably because of a shortrange ordering, due to the strong chemical interaction between iron and boron atoms, leading iron atoms in vicinity with Fe-atoms rather than another TM-atom. Finally, the phenomenon becomes analogous to the order-disorder phenomenon in crystalline alloys. An observed unusual crystallization behaviour, consisting of heterogeneous nucleation, was also ascribed to this ordering, which leads to the formation of associations, acting as the first nuclei of crystallization. 相似文献

This paper presents a simulated annealing algorithm for resource constrained project scheduling problems with the objective of minimising makespan. In the search algorithm, a solution is represented with a priority list, a vector of numbers each of which denotes the priority of each activity. In the algorithm, a priority scheduling method is used for making a complete schedule from a given priority list (and hence a project schedule is defined by a priority list). The search algorithm is applied to find a priority list which corresponds to a good project schedule. Unlike most of priority scheduling methods, in the suggested algorithm some activities are delayed on purpose so as to extend search space. Solutions can be further improved by delaying certain activities, since non-delay schedules are not dominant in the problem (the set of non-delay schedules does not always include an optimal solution). The suggested algorithm is flexible in that it can be easily applied to problems with an objective function of a general form and/or complex constraints. The performance of the simulated annealing algorithm is compared with existing heuristics on problems prepared by Patterson and randomly generated test problems. Experiments employing photoreflectance spectroscopy have uncovered band bending due to electrically active defects at the Si(1 1 1)–SiO2 interface after sub-keV Ar+ ion bombardment. The band bending of about 0.5 eV resembles that for Si(1 0 0)–SiO2, and both interfaces exhibit two kinetic regimes for the evolution of band bending upon annealing due to defects healing. The healing takes place about an order of magnitude more quickly at the (1 1 1) interface, however, probably because of less fully saturated bonding and higher compressive stress. 相似文献

This paper gives a covariant formalism enabling investigation of the possibility of change of signature in classical General Relativity, when the geometry is that of a Robertson-Walker universe. It is shown that such changes are compatible with the Einstein field equations, both in the case of a barotropic fluid and of a scalar field. A criterion is given for when such a change of signature should take place in the scalar field case. Some examples show the kind of resulting exact solutions of the field equations. 相似文献
