The interaction of ethoxycarbonyl isothiocyanate with semicarbazides or thiosemicarbazides produces 1-ethoxycarbonyl-2-thiobiureas or bithioureas, respectively. The former are cyclisable to 2-ethoxycarbonamido-5-hydroxy-l,3,4-thiadiazole in acid, or to 2(H)-carbamoyl-3-hydroxy-5-alkylthio-1,2,4-triazoles, and thence to 3-hydroxy-5-mercapto-1,2,4-triazole in alkaline media. The ring-closure of the 1-ethoxycarbonylbithioureas proceeds similarly affording, under the influence of acids, 5-amino (or mercapto)-2-ethoxycarbonamido-1,3,4-thiadiazoles. The action of alkali produces compounds derived from 3-hydroxy-5-mercapto-1,2,4-triazole; the isolation, in a selected example, of the 2(H)-phenylthiocarbamoyl-derivative, elucidates the course of this reaction. Hydrazinolysis of 1-ethoxycarbonylbithiourea yields 4-amino-3-hydrazino-5-mercapto-1,2,4-triazole.  相似文献

The visual pigment of the Tokay gecko (Gekko gekko) with its in situ absorption maximum at 521 nm has its spectral position at 500 to 505 nm when chloride-deficient digitonin is used for the extraction. In this case the addition of chloride or bromide to the extract restores the maximum to 521 nm. This property, characteristic of gecko pigments in general, does not occur with any of the rhodopsins that have been tested. Simple salts of cyanide, a pseudohalogenoid with an ionic radius close to those of chloride and bromide and/or its hydrolysis product attacks both this gecko pigment and rhodopsins in the dark. This is seen as a slow thermal loss of photopigment if (sodium) cyanide is present at concentrations above 40 mM for the gecko pigment and 150 mM for the rhodopsins of the midshipman (Porichthys notatus) and of the frog (Rana pipiens). In all cases the loss of the photopigment is accompanied by the appearance of a spectral product with maximum absorption at about 340 nm. Cyanide addition has no effect on the photosensitivity of the native pigments and neither does it alter, as do chloride, bromide and other anions, the spectral absorbance curve. The spectral product at 340 nm also appears when the visual pigments are photolyzed in the presence of cyanide salts below the threshold concentrations given above. Incubation of digitonin-solubilized all-trans-retinal with (sodium) cyanide leads to a reaction product with absorption spectrum similar to that obtained with visual pigments under comparable conditions.(ABSTRACT TRUNCATED AT 250 WORDS)  相似文献

The synthesis, characterisation and polymerisation studies of a homologous series of α,ω-bis(pyrrolyl)alkanes are described. These α,ω-bis(pyrrolyl)alkanes were produced using Friedel-Crafts acylation followed by reduction of the carbonyl group using Red-Al®. Chemical polymerisation of the resultant dimers using FeCl3 produced poly(α,ω-bis(pyrrolyl)alkane) films, which were characterised by SEM, FTIR and tested for conductivity.  相似文献

Among the polyhedral [closo-BnHn]2- ion series (n = 5-12 inclusive) the aromatic [closo-B10H10]2- ion is both readily available and quite reactive. Among its many reactions which retain its cage structure one finds the oxidative dimerization reaction in which two [closo-B10H12]2- ions each formally lose a hydride ion and undergo dimerization of the resulting [closo-B10H9]- ions to produce the [trans-B20H18]2- ion. The two-component [closo-B10H9]- ions of the latter are linked together by a pair of unique B-B-B bonds which provide unprecedented reactivity to the structure. Among these reactions are the two-electron reduction to a set of three interconvertible [B20H18]4- ions having intercage B-B bonds and the related reductive substitution reaction in which [trans-B20H18]2- undergoes attack by nucleophile, L, to produce [B20H18L]2-. The latter species is formally a substituted [B20H19]3- (L = H) ion formed by B-B bond protonation of one of the isomeric [B20H18]4- ions. These and a variety of novel reactions are described here along with interrelated reaction mechanisms considered for the first time.  相似文献

A therapeutic method that selectively destroys malignant cells in the presence of normal cells is a highly valued goal of oncologists and the possible salvation of cancer patients afflicted with some incurable forms of the disease. Selective cell destruction is, in principle, possible with a binary therapeutic strategy based upon the neutron capture reaction observed with the 10B nucleus and a neutron of low kinetic energy (thermal neutron). This nuclear fission reaction produces both 4He and 7Li+ nuclei along with about 2.4 MeV of kinetic energy and weak γ-radiation. Since the energetic and cytotoxic product ions travel only about one cell diameter in tissue one may specify the cell type to be destroyed by placing innocent 10B nuclei on or within only the doomed cells. This article describes the current status of chemical research aimed at the eventual adoption of this therapeutic method (boron neutron capture therapy or BNCT). The multidisciplinary nature of this research effort involves chemistry, biology, nuclear physics, medicine, and related specialties. Methods devised for bringing 10B nuclei to tumor cells in therapeutic amounts are correlated with the structure of a generalized cell and the various cellular compartments available for boron localization. The synthesis methods employed for the creation of boron-containing biomolecules and drugs are presented along with representative data concerning their efficacy in tumor localization. The outlook for BNCT is especially bright at this time because of rapid developments in the fields of bioorganometallic chemistry, microbiology, immunology, and nuclear science, to name but a few. Very effective boron delivery vehicles have been demonstrated, and through the interaction of chemistry and biology these species are undergoing further improvement and evaluation of their suitability for BNCT.  相似文献

The cofacial bisporphyrins H4DPS (DPS = 4,6-bis[5-(2,8,13,17-tetraethyl-3,7,12,18-tetramethylporphyrinyl)]dibenzothiophene), H4DPO (DPO = 4,6-bis[5-(2,8,13,17-tetraethyl-3,7,12,18-tetramethylporphyrinyl)]dibenzofuran), H4DPX (DPX = 4,5-bis[5-(2,8,13,17-tetraethyl-3,7,12,18-tetramethylporphyrinyl)]-9,9-dimethylxanthene), H4DPA (DPA = 1,8-bis[5-(2,8,13,17-tetraethyl-3,7,12,18-tetramethylporphyrinyl)]anthracene), and H4DPB (DPB = 1,8-bis[5-(2,8,13,17-tetraethyl-3,7,12,18-tetramethylporphyrinyl)]biphenylene) have been monometalated by Zn(OAc)2.2H2O and by GaCl3 to explore the singlet-singlet energy transfer from the photoexcited metal porphyrin center to the linked free base porphyrin. The spectroscopic (UV-vis and fluorescence) and photophysical properties (fluorescence lifetimes, tauF, and quantum yields, phiF) have been investigated at 298 and 77 K in degassed 2-MeTHF for the donor-acceptor systems, (Zn)H2DPS, (Zn)H2DPO, (Zn)H2DPA, (Zn)H2DPX, and (Zn)H2DPB, as well as for the bis-zinc complexes, (Zn)2DPS, (Zn)2DPO, (Zn)2DPX, and (Zn)2DPB, respectively, and the monoporphyrin derivatives, H2P, (Zn)P, and (Ga-OMe)P (P2- = 5-phenyl-2,8,13,17-tetraethyl-3,7,12,18-tetramethylporphyrin-dianion). The singlet-singlet energy transfer rate constants (KET) were obtained using KET = (1/tauF -1/tauFo), where tauFo is the fluorescence lifetime of the corresponding bis-zinc(II) systems (or (Zn)P and (Ga-OMe)P) where no energy transfer occurs. The tauF value for three bis-zinc(II) compounds varies from 1.69 to 2.01 ns and is 1.84 (at 298 K) and 3.20 ns (at 77 K) for (Ga-OMe)P. In the donor-acceptor bismacrocycles, depending on the spacer and the temperature, the fluorescence lifetimes decrease down to 50-240 ps. The KET values range from approximately 4 to approximately 21 (ns(-1)) and have been analyzed considering both the F?rster and the Dexter mechanisms. Using the C(meso)-C(meso) distance parameters in the calculations, the F?rster and Dexter mechanisms operate for DPS and DPO, and for DPA, DPX, and DPB spacer systems, respectively. The limit distance where one mechanism dominates over the other is estimated to be around 5-6 A.  相似文献

A new iterative deconvolution algorithm for the development of very high resolution Hc(I)-excited photoelectron spectra of gases is presented. The algorithm accepts as input a medium-resolution spectrum and an instrument function obtained by scanning intrinsically narrow line (e.g. the Ar2P3/2 line) under conditions identical to those used to acquire the medium resolution spectrum. The deconvolved partial spectrum of an O2H2O mixture is presented as a test case prior to presentation of results for three nitrogen lines. For comparison purposes directly obtained high-resolution spectra of the nitrogen lines are included. The shapes of the nitrogen lines are discussed within the framework of a one-center expansion theory of photoionization. The conditions under which deconvolution can be profitably applied are briefly discussed and an attempt is made to establish the deconvolution (contrary to still popular belief) is not in any way equivalent to curve fitting.  相似文献
