Translational isomerization can be induced by changing the anions associated with a bistable rotaxane in which the tetracationic cyclophane (blue box), cyclobis(paraquat-p-phenylene), encircles a dumbbell component containing bispyrrolotetrathiafulvalene (green) and a dioxynaphthalene (red) recognition sites. The rotaxane was isolated as both its hexafluorophosphate and tris(tetrachlorobenzenediolato)phosphate(v) (TRISPHAT(-)) salts. Photophysical measurements and NMR spectroscopy carried out in acetone (CD(3)COCD(3)) and acetonitrile (CD(3)CN) solutions reveal that the much larger TRISPHAT(-) anion favors predominantly the encirclement of the green site by the blue box. 相似文献

t-BuOK-induced deprotonation of omega-haloalkylnitriles generates remarkably stable potassiated nitriles. In situ deprotonation and alkylation of omega-chloroalkylnitriles with aldehyde electrophiles trigger sequential nucleophilic-electrophilic alkylations generating substituted tetrahydrofuranyl and tetrahydropyranyl nitriles. Redirecting the cyclization manifold with 5-iodopentanenitrile and a ketone causes a complementary electrophilic-nucleophilic cyclization to the corresponding carbonitrile. 2-Hydroxy-2'-alkylthio-1,1'-binaphthyl compounds are catalytic promoters of the 1,4-addition of AlMe(3) to linear aliphatic enones in THF at -40 to -48 degrees C in the presence of [Cu(MeCN)(4)]BF(4). At ligand loadings of 5-20 mol %, enantioselectivities of 80-93 % are realised for most substrates. To attain these values, the use of highly pure AlMe(3) is mandatory. A [2]pseudorotaxane, based on a semi-dumbbell-shaped component containing asymmetrically substituted monopyrrolotetrathiafulvalene and 1,5-dioxynaphthalene recognition sites for encirclement by cyclobis(paraquat-p-phenylene) and with a "speed bump" in the form of a thiomethyl group situated between the two recognition sites, has been self-assembled. This supramolecular entity is a mixture in solution of two slowly interconverting [2]pseudorotaxanes, one of which is on the verge of being a [2]rotaxane at room temperature, allowing it to be isolated by employing flash column chromatography. These two [2]pseudorotaxanes were both characterized in solution by UV/Vis and (1)H NMR spectroscopies (1D and 2D) and also by differential pulse voltammetry. The spectroscopic and electrochemical data reveal that one of the complexes behaves wholly as a [2]pseudorotaxane, while the other has some [2]rotaxane character to it. The kinetics of the shuttling of cyclobis(paraquat-p-phenylene) between the monopyrrolotetrathiafulvalene and the 1,5-dioxynaphthalene recognition sites have been investigated at different temperatures. The shuttling processes, which are accompanied by detectable color changes, can be monitored using UV/Vis and (1)H NMR spectroscopies; the spectroscopic data have been employed in the determination of the rate constants, free energies of activation, enthalpies of activation, and the entropies of activation for the translation of cyclobis(paraquat-p-phenylene) between the two recognition sites. 相似文献

This paper describes a technique to develop high-resolution three-dimensional (3D) images of microvasculature structures in curettage, hysterectomy or endometrial resection biopsies using parallel histological serial sections. Employing a labelled streptavidin-biotin-alkaline phosphatase (LSAB(+)) method and visualising by using DAB(+) with the primary antibody, mouse anti human Q-Bend-10, the images were directly digitised from a light microscope into the KS400 Universal Image Processing and Analysis software via a CCD colour camera; binary images of the structures were created and the binary images were exported into VoxBlast 3D rendering software to view still and rotating 3D images on a computer monitor.
