The heats of interactions of zinc(II)tetraphenylporphyrine with 30 types of neutral molecules in benzene and carbon tetrachloride were measured using the calorimetric titration method. The thermodynamic characteristics of complex formation were calculated. The satisfactory multiparameter correlation of thermodynamic stability of the molecular complexes formed with physicochemical properties of the neutral molecules (electron pair donor ability, volume, electronic and orientational polarization) was obtained. 相似文献

Tetraboronic acids 1 and 2 have four -B(OH)(2) groups oriented tetrahedrally by cores derived from tetraphenylmethane and tetraphenylsilane. Crystallization produces isostructural diamondoid networks held together by hydrogen bonding of the -B(OH)(2) groups, in accord with the tendency of simple arylboronic acids to form cyclic hydrogen-bonded dimers in the solid state. Five-fold interpenetration of the networks is observed, but 60% and 64% of the volumes of crystals of tetraboronic acids 1 and 2, respectively, remain available for the inclusion of disordered guests. Guests occupy two types of interconnected channels aligned with the a and b axes; those in crystals of tetraphenylmethane 1 measure approximately 5.9 x 5.9 A(2) and 5.2 x 8.6 A(2) in cross section at the narrowest points, whereas those in crystals of tetraphenylsilane 2 are approximately 6.4 x 6.4 A(2) and 6.4 x 9.0 A(2). These channels provide access to the interior and permit guests to be exchanged quantitatively without loss of crystallinity. Because the Si-C bonds at the core of tetraboronic acid 2 are longer (1.889(3) A) than the C-C bonds at the core of tetraboronic acid 1 (1.519(6) A), the resulting network is expanded rationally. By associating to form robust isostructural networks with predictable architectures and properties of porosity, compounds 1 and 2 underscore the usefulness of molecular tectonics as a strategy for making ordered materials. 相似文献

The preparation and chemistry of novel phosphoranyl-derived lambda(3)-iodanes is reported. The phosphoranyl-derived phenyliodonium sulfonates were prepared in good yields by the reaction of stabilized phosphonium ylides [1-triphenylphosphoranylidene-2-propanone, methyl(triphenylphosphoranylidene)acetate, (triphenylphosphoranylidene)acetaldehyde, and (triphenylphosphoranylidene)acetonitrile] with the pyridinium complex of iodobenzene ditriflate or with [hydroxy(tosyloxy)iodo]benzene under mild conditions. These compounds represent a potentially useful class of reagents that combine in one molecule synthetic advantages of a phosphonium ylide and an iodonium salt. Specifically, phosphorane-derived phenyliodonium tosylates can react with soft nucleophiles, such as iodide, bromide, benzenesulfinate, and thiophenolate anions, with a selective formation of the respective alpha-functionalized phosphonium ylides, which can be further converted to alkenes by the Wittig reaction with benzaldehyde. The phosphoranyl-derived benziodoxoles can be prepared by the reaction of 1-acetoxybenziodoxole with stabilized phosphonium ylides. An unusual ligand exchange on the iodine(III) center resulting in the substitution of a carbon ligand with an oxygen ligand was observed in the reaction of these compounds with strong acids. 相似文献

Selective chemical modification of proteins plays a pivotal role for the rational design of enzymes with novel and specific functionalities. In this study, a strategic combination of genetic and chemical engineering paves the way for systematic construction of biocatalysts by tuning the product spectrum of a levansucrase from Bacillus megaterium (Bm-LS), which typically produces small levan-like oligosaccharides. The implementation of site-directed mutagenesis followed by a tyrosine-specific modification enabled control of the product synthesis: depending on the position, the modification provoked either enrichment of short oligosaccharides (up to 800 % in some cases) or triggered the formation of high molecular weight polymer. The chemical modification can recover polymerization ability in variants with defective oligosaccharide binding motifs. Molecular dynamic (MD) simulations provided insights into the effect of modifying non-native tyrosine residues on product specificity. 相似文献

The structure and mechanical properties of clay nanoparticles is a subject of growing interest because of their numerous applications in engineering. We present the results of molecular dynamics simulation for a single nanoplate of pyrophyllite - a 2:1 clay mineral consisting of two tetrahedral sheets of SiO4 and an intervening octahedral AlO6 sheet. Simulations were performed in the temperature interval from 5 to 750 K using the ionic-type potentials of Cygan et al. On this basis the temperature dependences of structural parameters, characterizing both tetrahedral and octahedral sheets as well as single lamella, have been studied. Two slightly different structures were observed in this wide temperature interval. The mechanical properties of the nanoplate were calculated from stress-strain diagrams, which have been obtained at relatively slow rates of deformation (for molecular simulations). Using different types of loading, we calculated the full elasticity tensor and estimated the influence of temperature on its components. We estimated also the bending and torsion stiffnesses of the nanoplate as specific characteristics of this type of particle. Because the nanoplate is atomically thin, a reasonable determination of the thickness is a nontrivial problem, both in the modeling of mechanical properties and in physical interpretation of the obtained data. Polyelectrolyte multilayers of poly(L-glutamic acid) (PGA) and poly(L-lysine) (PLL) were built up using the layer-by-layer (LbL) technique in low pH (3.6, PM3.6) and in neutral pH (7.4, PM7.4) solutions. The multilayers were then treated with a concentrated urea (one kind of denaturant for proteins and polypeptides) solution (8M) and rinsed with corresponding buffer. The buildup and treatment processes were investigated by ultraviolet visible spectroscopy and ellipsometry. The surface morphology was observed by scanning force microscopy (SFM). The inner structures were determined by X-ray reflectometry and circular dichroism spectroscopy (CD). An exponential growth of the optical mass and the layer thickness was observed for both PM3.6 and PM7.4. After urea treatment, a significant mass loss for PM3.6 was found, while no mass change was recorded for PM7.4. The dominant driving force for PM7.4 is electrostatic interaction, resulting in multilayers with an abundant beta-sheet structure, which has higher stability against urea treatment. By contrast, the dominant driving force for PM3.6 is hydrogen bonding and hydrophobic interaction, which are sensitive to the urea treatment. The mechanism is substantiated by molecular mechanics calculation. This has offered a convenient pathway to mediate the multilayer properties, which is of great importance for potential applications. 相似文献

Versatile and stereocontrolled synthetic entries to novel types of cyclopropyl carbocyclic nucleosides are described. The target products have been synthesized from suitable cyclopropane precursors obtained, in turn, from olefinic compounds derived from D-glyceraldehyde as a chiral precursor. Selective manipulation of the functional groups has allowed the preparation of enantiopure nucleosides, some of them displaying opposite chirality. All these molecules contain a quaternary stereogenic carbon at C-1 or C-3 of the cyclopropane ring and bear an amino, a hydroxymethyl, or a methyl group as an additional substituent. In one instance, thymine is directly linked to the cyclopropane. A methylene unit serves as the spacer in the other synthesized nucleosides. 相似文献

The chemical recycling of end-of-life polymers can add some value to a future circular economy. In this regard, the hydrogenative degradation of end-of-life PLA was investigated to produce 1,2-propanediol as product, which is a useful building block in polymer chemistry. Glycinium semi‐malonate, C2H6NO2+·C3H3O4−, (I), and glutaric acid–glycine (1/1), C2H5NO2·C5H8O4, (II), are new examples of two‐component crystal structures containing glycine and carboxylic acids. (II) is the first example of a glycine cocrystal which cannot be classified as a salt, as glutaric acid remains completely protonated. In the structure of (I), there are chains formed exclusively by glycinium cations, or exclusively by malonate anions, and these chains are linked with each other. Two types of very short O—H...O hydrogen bonds are present in the structure of (I), one linking glycinium cations with malonate anions, and the other linking malonate anions with each other.
