Crossed molecular beams experiments and classical trajectory calculations have been used to study the dynamics of Ar+ethane collisions at hyperthermal collision energies. Experimental time-of-flight and angular distributions of ethane molecules that scatter into the backward hemisphere (with respect to their original direction in the center-of-mass frame) have been collected. Translational energy distributions, derived from the time-of-flight distributions, reveal that a substantial fraction of the collisions transfer abnormally large amounts of energy to internal excitation of ethane. The flux of the scattered ethane molecules increased only slightly from directly backward scattering to sideways scattering. Theoretical calculations show angular and translational energy distributions which are in reasonable agreement with the experimental results. These calculations have been used to examine the microscopic mechanism for large energy transfer collisions ("supercollisions"). Collinear ("head-on") or perpendicular ("side-on") approaches of Ar to the C-C axis of ethane do not promote energy transfer as much as bent approaches, and collisions in which the H atom is "sandwiched" in a bent Ar...H-C configuration lead to the largest energy transfer. The sensitivity of collisional energy transfer to the intramolecular potential energy of ethane has also been examined. 相似文献

The bicyclic and tricyclic meso-N-(methylsulfonyl)dicarboximides 1a–f are converted enantioselectively to isopropyl [(sulfonamido)carbonyl]-carboxylates 2a–f by diisopropoxytitanium TADDOLate (75–92% yield; see Scheme 3). The enantiomer ratios of the products are between 86:14 and 97:3, and recrystallization from CH2Cl2/hexane leads to enantiomerically pure sulfonamido esters 2 (Scheme 3). The enantioselectivity shows a linear relationship with the enantiomer excess of the TADDOL employed (Fig.3). Reduction of the ester and carboxamide groups (LiAlH4) and additional reductive cleavage of the sulfonamido group (Red-Al) in the products 2 of imide-ring opening gives hydroxy-sulfonamides 3 and amino alcohols 4 , respectively (Scheme 4). The absolute configuration of the sulfonamido esters 2 is determined by chemical correlation (with 2a,b ; Scheme 6), by the X-ray analysis of the camphanate of 3e (Fig. 1), and by comparative 19F-NMR analysis of the Mosher esters of the hydroxy-sulfonamides 3 (Table 1). A general proposal for the assignment of the absolute configuration of primary alcohols and amines of Formula HXCH2CHR1R2, X = O, NH, is suggested (see 11 in Table 1). It follows from the assignment of configuration of 2 that the Re carbonyl group of the original imide 1 is converted to an isopropyl ester group. This result is compatible with a rule previously put forward for the stereochemical course of reactions involving titanium TADDOLate activated chelating electrophiles ( 12 in Scheme 7). The sesquiterpene (+)-gossonorol is prepared in only three synthetic steps in 60% overall yield and 82% ee from commercially available reagents. The key asymmetric step is the catalytic enantioselective addition of dimethylzinc to 5-methyl-1-(2-methylphenyl)hex-4-en-1-one catalyzed by chiral isoborneolsulfonamide ligands in the presence of titanium tetraisopropoxide. The Copaifera species (Leguminoseae) are popularly known as ‘copaíba’ or ‘copaíva’ and are grown in the states of Amazonas, Pará and Ceará in northern Brazil. The oleoresins obtained from these species have been extensively used owing to their pharmacological potential and their application in cosmetic and pharmaceutical preparations. In the present study, the development and validation of a novel, rapid and efficient RP‐HPLC methodology for the analysis of the diterpene (?)‐copalic acid (CA), pointed out as the only chemical marker of the Copaifera genus, are described. The regression equation (Y = 26,707x ? 29,498) was obtained with good linearity (r2 = 0.9993) and the limits of quantification and detection were 9.182 and 3.032 µg/mL, respectively. The precision and the accuracy of the method were adequate (lower than 4%). Finally, the validation parameters evaluated were satisfactorily met, so the developed method represents a suitable tool for application in the quality control of such natural products. Further studies aiming to develop analytical methodologies for each Copaifera species using a more representative number of chemical markers should be performed. Donor–acceptor Stenhouse adducts (DASAs) are playing an outstanding role as innovative and versatile photoswitches. Until now, all the efforts have been spent on modifying the donor and acceptor moieties to modulate the absorption energy and improve the cyclization and reversion kinetics. However, there is a strong dependence on specific structural modifications and a lack of predictive behavior, mostly owing to the complex photoswitching mechanism. Here, by means of a combined experimental and theoretical study, the effect of chemical modification of the π-bridge linking the donor and acceptor moieties is systematically explored, revealing the significant impact on the absorption, photocyclization, and relative stability of the open form. In particular, a position along the π-bridge is found to be the most suited to redshift the absorption while preserving the cyclization. However, thermal back-reaction to the initial isomer is blocked. These effects are explained in terms of an increased acceptor capability offered by the π-bridge substituent that can be modulated. This strategy opens the path toward derivatives with infra-red absorption and a potential anchoring point for further functionalization. 相似文献
