Digital holographic microscopy is used to numerically refocus a recorded hologram at an arbitrary axial distance. However, as a straightforward property of coherent light fields, image reconstruction on an arbitrary tilted plane could be directly obtained by a rotation in k-space. We demonstrate that this property allows the real-time microscopic inspection of particle distribution over three mutually orthogonal planes at the same time. As a straightforward application we use the proposed technique for real-time monitoring of fluid flow over the three cross sections of a microfluidic channel. 相似文献

Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder that is the most common cause of dementia in aging populations. Although senile plaques and neurofibrillary tangles are well-established hallmarks of AD, changes in cerebral white matter correlate with cognitive decline and may increase the risk of the development of dementia. We used the triple transgenic (3xTg)-AD mouse model of AD, previously used to show that white matter changes precede plaque formation, to test the hypothesis that MRI detectable changes occur in the corpus callosum, external capsule and the fornix. T2-weighted and diffusion tensor magnetic resonance imaging and histological stains were employed to assess white matter in older (11–17 months) 3xTg-AD mice and controls. We found no statistically significant changes in white matter between 3xTg-AD mice and controls, despite well-developed neurofibrillary tangles and beta amyloid immunoreactive plaques. Myelin staining was normal in affected mice. These data suggest that the 3xTg-AD mouse model does not develop MRI detectable white matter changes at the ages we examined. 相似文献

Microstructures and impedance characteristics of chemical-solution-derived Bi3.15Nd0.85Ti3O12 thin films were studied as functions of temperature. A dielectric anomaly was found at around 450°C, corresponding to the
paraelectric to ferroelectric transition. Via complex impedance studies, grain and grain boundary contributions to the impedance
were separated. The resistance of grain and grain boundaries is found governed by the same kind of space charge with an activation
energy around 1.1 eV, close to that of oxygen vacancies in perovskite ferroelectrics. The low temperature ac conductance of
BNdT thin films shows a frequency dispersion, which can also be ascribed to space charges mainly due to oxygen vacancies.

In this paper we study a variable coefficient Sine-Gordon (vSG) equation given by theta(tt)-theta(xx)+F(x,t)sin theta=0 where F(x,t) is a real function. To establish if it may be integrable we have performed the standard test of Weiss, Tabor, and Carnevale (WTC). We have got that the (vSG) equation has the Painleve' property (Pp) if the function F(x,t) satisfies a well-defined nonlinear partial differential equation. We have found the general solution of this last equation and, consequently, the functions F(x,t) such that the (vSG) equation possesses the (Pp), are given by F(x,t)=F(1)(x+t)F(2)(x-t) where F(1)(x+t) and F(2)(x-t) are arbitrary functions. Steadyshear and oscillatory shear rheological measurements were performed to characterize the solution rheological behavior of poly(3,3′-diaminodiphenylsulfone terephthaloylchloride) (P(3,3′-DDS-TPC)) in dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO). The effects of temperature, concentration, and weight-average molar mass () on the rheological properties were investigated. From the temperature dependence of zero-shear viscosity, the flow activation energies, Eη, of P(3,3′-DDS-TPC)/DMSO solutions were calculated. Both the overlap concentration, C*, and the entanglement concentration, Ce, were determined from the concentration dependence of the specific viscosity ηsp. All the P(3,3′-DDS-TPC) solutions, we studied, can be separated into three regimes: the dilute, semidilute-unentangled, and entangled regime with slopes of 1, 1.3, and 3.9, of concentration versus ηsp plots, respectively, which are consistent with scaling predictions for flexible polymers in a good solvent. 相似文献
