(La0.8Sr0.2)0.95MnO3?δ (LSM)–Gd0.1Ce0.9O2?δ (gadolinium-doped ceria, GDC) composite cathode material was developed and characterized in terms of chemical stability, sintering behaviour, electrical conductivity, mechanical strength and microstructures to assess its feasibility as cathode support applications in cathode-supported fuel cell configurations. The sintering inhibition effect of LSM, in the presence of GDC, was observed and clearly demonstrated. The mechanical characterization of developed composites revealed that fracture behaviour is directly affected by pore size distribution. The Weibull strength distribution showed that for bimodal pore size distribution, two different fracture rates were present. Furthermore, the contiguity of LSM and GDC grains was calculated with image analysis, and correlation of microstructural features with mechanical and electrical properties was established. Subsequently, an LSM/GDC-based cathode-supported direct carbon fuel cell (DCFC) with Ni/ScSZ (scandia-stabilised zirconia) anode was successfully fabricated via slurry coating and co-firing techniques. The microstructures of electrodes and electrolyte layers were observed to confirm the desired morphology after co-sintering, and a single cell was electrochemically characterized in solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) and DCFC mode with ambient air as oxidant. The higher values of open-circuit voltage indicated that the electrolyte layer prepared by vacuum slurry coating is dense enough. The corresponding peak power densities at 850 °C were 450 and 225 mW cm?2 in SOFC and DCFC mode, respectively. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy was carried out to observe electrode polarization and ohmic resistance.  相似文献

The reactions between hexamethylenetetramine (HMTA) and compounds which model novolac resins have been studied by 13C‐ and 15N‐NMR techniques. The dimer and tetramer compounds vary in molecular size and structure and react with HMTA to yield benzylamines and benzoxazine as the major initial‐formed intermediates and convert to methylene linked compounds at increased temperatures. The reaction of the compounds with only ortho reactive sites paralleled the 2,4‐xylenol–HMTA case reported by us previously; however, increasing molecular weight favored the formation of benzylamines and not benzoxazines. Those compounds with only para reactive sites paralleled the 2,6‐xylenol–HMTA case. The reactivity of the systems containing both ortho and para reactive sites depends on the ratio of ortho/para sites and various aspects such as the chemical structure and molecular weight of the compound, the HMTA level, and the melting point and pH of the system. These results parallel those obtained from novolac/HMTA systems. The xylenol/HMTA reactions formed similar products but showed quite different relative reaction rates by varying the HMTA ratio and structures of the materials. Interaction of electronically excited TCNB (tetracyanobenzone) and ground-state MB (methylated benzenes) leads to the formation of fluorescent exciplexes in the vapor phase. Studies of exciplex fluorescence as a function of excess vibrational energy in TCNB and of temperature and pressure of added buffer gas, lead to the conclusion that the low-frequency inter-molecular vibrations play a very important role in the radiationless deactivation of exciplexes. The results also indicate that collisional relaxation of low-frequency intermolecular vibrations proceeds much more rapidly than that of high-frequency intramolecular vibrations.  相似文献

The regioselectivity of the hydroboration of the methylchlorovinylsilanes, ClnMe3?nSiCHCH2 (n= 0 ? 3), has been investigated using BH3←THF, 9-BBN, disiamyl- and dicyclohexylborane. Methylation of the adducts with methylmagnesium bromide is complicated by formation of tetraalkylboronates. Alkaline hydrogen peroxide oxidation of the boronates gives reasonable yields of the corresponding α- and β-trimethylsilylethanols forn= 0 and 1. Forn= 2 and 3, conversion of the adducts to the corresponding α- and β- deuteroethylsilanes by treatment with excess sodium methoxide in methanol-0-d provides a more effective means of derivatization. Addition of the alkenes,n= 2 or 3, to excess BH3←THF givesca. 90% of the α-boro-organo-chlorosilanes. For all of the alkenes, the dialkylboranes giveca. 80% of the β-boron adducts.  相似文献

The structural changes of copper hexacyanoferrate (CuHCF), a Prussian blue analogue, which occur when used as a cathode in an aqueous Zn-ion battery, are investigated using electron microscopy techniques. The evolution of ZnxCu1−xHCF phases possessing wire and cubic morphologies from initial CuHCF nanoparticles are monitored after hundreds of cycles. Irreversible introduction of Zn ions to CuHCF is revealed locally using scanning transmission electron microscopy. A substitution mechanism is proposed to explain the increasing Zn content within the cathode material while simultaneously the Cu content is lowered during Zn-ion battery cycling. The present study demonstrates that the irreversible introduction of Zn ions is responsible for the decreasing Zn ion capacity of the CuHCF cathode in high electrolyte concentration.  相似文献

It has been reported that many molecules could inhibit the aggregation of Aβ (amyloid-β) through suppressing either primary nucleation, secondary nucleation, or elongation processes. In order to suppress multiple pathways of Aβ aggregation, we screened 23 small molecules and found two types of inhibitors with different inhibiting mechanisms based on chemical kinetics analysis. Trp-glucose conjugates ( AS2 ) could bind with fibril ends while natural products ( D3 and D4 ) could associate with monomers. A cocktail of these two kinds of molecules achieved co-inhibition of various fibrillar species and avoid unwanted interference.  相似文献
