p-Adic string compactified on a torus

The open p-adic string world sheet is a coset space F=T/, where T is the Bruhat-Tits tree for the p-adic linear group GL(2, _p ) and PGL(2, _p ) is some Schottky group. The string dynamics is governed by the local action on F, with the fields taking values in a compact group G. We find the correlation functions and partition functions for the p-adic string surfaces of arbitrary genus and G=U(1)^xD (D-dimensional torus).     

On dimensionless parameters for generalization pressure head and flow rate characteristics of centrifugal disk pumps

Experimental study was performed for operation of a centrifugal disk pump at atmospheric air pressure. The dimensionless parameters were developed for generalization of experimental data on flow rate and head of the pump. The method for calculation of a pumping curve and throttling characteristic was offered through use of semiemperical generalization formulas. The method ensures a good accuracy in calculations, which is proved by comparison of calculation and experimental data for the pump tested.     

Influence of the orientation of the isotropy axis on the stability of transversely isotropic semibounded laminates

The surface-buckling problem for elastic transversely isotropic laminates is solved using the three-dimensional linearized theory of stability with the assumption of small prebuckling strains. On the formation of linear folds in regularly layered rock masses under biaxial loading

The piecewise-homogeneous model and the three-dimensional theory of stability for small and finite subcritical strains are used to study the formation of folds in layered rock masses of the Earth’s crust under biaxial loading. The general statement of the problem is given, and the governing characteristic equations are derived. Surface Instability of Laminated Materials of Regular Structure Under Triaxial Compression

The surface instability of laminated composites of regular structure is analyzed in a three-dimensional linearized formulation. A case is considered where the material is compressed by a surface distributed dead or follower load. Numerical results are presented for a specific problem.     

Topological recursion for Gaussian means and cohomological field theories

We introduce explicit relations between genus-filtrated s-loop means of the Gaussian matrix model and terms of the genus expansion of the Kontsevich–Penner matrix model (KPMM), which is the generating function for volumes of discretized (open) moduli spaces M _g,s ^disc (discrete volumes). Using these relations, we express Gaussian means in all orders of the genus expansion as polynomials in special times weighted by ancestor invariants of an underlying cohomological field theory. We translate the topological recursion of the Gaussian model into recurrence relations for the coefficients of this expansion, which allows proving that they are integers and positive. We find the coefficients in the first subleading order for M _g,1 for all g in three ways: using the refined Harer–Zagier recursion, using the Givental-type decomposition of the KPMM, and counting diagrams explicitly.
