Studium des gegenseitigen Einflusses der Bindungen in Thiocyanat-Kupfer(II)-Komplexen mit Methyl- und Dimethylpyridinen mittels Infrarotspektroskopie

The infrared spectra of thiocyanato-copper(II) complexes of the type Cu(NCS)₂ L ₂ with all isomeric picolines and lutidines (L) as well as those of the type Cu(NCS)₂ L ₃ withL=3- and 4-picoline, 3,4- and 3,5-lutidine were measured. The behaviour of the (CN) stretching vibrations of the Cu(NCS)₂ L ₂ complexes led to conclusions on the different kind of coordination of the NCS groups in dependence on the ligandL. The mutually conditioned strength of the Cu–NCS and Cu–N(L) bonds in the equatorial plane, especially in the presence of ligandsL with the steric effect, was determined from the frequency shift of the Cu–NCS and Cu–N(L) stretching vibrations with regard to the vibrations for Cu(NCS)₂(pyridine)₂.

Extraction of americium,lanthanides and some fission product elements by bidentate phosphonates

The extraction of Am, Eu, Ce(III), Zr(IV), and Sr from aqueous nitric acid— nitrate media by dibutyl N,N-diethylcarbamylphosphonate and dibutyl N,N-diethylcar-bamylmethylenephosphonate dissolved in carbon tetrachloride was studied. The trivalent actinide and lanthanide elements may be separated in certain aqueous phase acidity regions from Fe(III), Zr(IV), and Sr, whereas the separation of actinide elements from the lanthanide elements is poor. The extractant to metal ratio in the extracted complexes of Am, Eu, and Ce(III) is 3. The interferences in the extraction due to acidic impurities in the extracting agent are discussed.     

Ligandenfeldspektren einiger Cyanato-Kupfer(II)-Komplexe des Typs Cu(NCO)2 L 2 mit Liganden aus der Chinolin- und Isochinolingruppe Cyanato-Kupfer(II)-Komplexe mit organischen Liganden, 7. Mitt.

Zusammenfassung Die Ligandenfeldspektren der Komplexe des Typs Cu(NCO)₂ L ₂ (L=Ligand der Chinolin- bzw. Isochinolingruppe) im festen Zustand wurden aufgenommen. Das Spektrum des Komplexes Cu(NCO)₂(Chin)₂ weist eine einzige Bande auf und deutet auf eine pseudooktaedrische Struktur. Die Spektren der übrigen Komplexe enthalten hingegen neben den Hauptbanden auch Schultern bzw. ist die anwesende Bande zusammengesetzt, so daß diese Spektren mit einer planaren Struktur im Einklang sind. Die annähernden Werte für den Parameter 10Dq wurden berechnet; sie liegen im Bereich von 7,1 bis 7,8 kK.

Ligand field spectra of some cyanato-copper(II) complexes with ligands from the quinoline- and isoquinoline group

The ligand field spectra of complexes of the type Cu(NCO)₂ L ₂ (L=ligand from the quinoline or isoquinoline group) in the solid state were recorded. Only the spectrum of Cu(NCO)₂(Quin)₂ exhibits a single band and indicates a pseudooctahedral structure, while the spectra of the remaining complexes also contain shoulders in addition to the main band, or this band is composite, thus being in accordance with a planar structure. The approximate values of the parameter 10Dq were calculated and found to be in the range of 7.1 to 7.8 kK.

Studium der Reduktion von Resazurin

Zusammenfassung In dieser Arbeit wurden Schlußfolgerungen über den simultanen Verlauf der beiden Reduktionsphasen von Resazurin überprüft.Weiters wurden Bedingungen für die quantitative titanometrische Bestimmung von Resazurin und seiner Derivate ermittelt.

The conclusions about the simultaneous course of reduction of Resazurin to Resorufin and Resorufin to Dihidroresorufin were verified in this work.The conditions for the quantitative titanometric determination of Resazurin and its derivatives were found.

Volumetric determination of Pt(IV) in the presence of Ir,Pd, and Rh with ferrous ammonium sulfate in alkaline mannitol medium

A potentiometric reductimetric method for the determination of platinum (Pt(IV)Pt(II)) with a standard Fe(II) solution in an alkaline medium of mannitol is described. The method, the error of which does not exceed 2%, can be used in the presence of palladium, iridium, and rhodium.     

Determination of heptacaine hydrochloride in solution using nuclear analytical methods

The applicability of two nuclear analytical methods for the determination of hepatacaine hydrochloride in solution was studied, i. e. radionuclide X-ray fluorescence analysis and radiometric titrations based on precipitate formations. Methods used were evaluated on the basis of obtained sensitivity values.     

Ein weiterer Beitrag zum Scandiumdicarbidproblem

Zusammenfassung Die bei 1850, 2000 bzw. 2300°C durch die Reduktion von Scandiumoxid mittels Kohlenstoff in dem der Scandiumdicarbidbildung entsprechenden Molverhältnis hergestellten Produkte wurden mit Wasser zersetzt und mit Hilfe der gleichzeitigen gaschromatographischen und massenspektrometrischen Analyse untersucht. Aus den Ergebnissen geht hervor, daß bei der Scandiumdicarbidbildung gleichzeitig ein weiteres Scandiumcarbid, höchstwahrscheinlich ein Sesquicarbid, entsteht.

Scandium(III) dicarbide problem. Further experimental results

Products obtained by the reduction of Sc₂O₃ with carbon at 1850, 2000 and 2300°C, resp., in the molar ratio corresponding to the scandium dicarbide were hydrolysed with water. Gaseous reaction products were analysed using gas chromatography combined with mass spectrometry. Results show, that during dicarbide formation another scandium carbide, probably sesquicarbide, is also formed.

Über komplexe Fällungserscheinungen der Silberphosphat-Sole in statu nascendi

Zusammenfassung Es wurden Fällungssysteme Silbernitrat-Alkaliphosphat und Silbernitrat-Alkaliphosphat-Kaliumbromid tyndallometrisch untersucht, wobei festgestellt wurde, daß sich in dem Fällungssystem AgNO₃-Na₃PO₄ zwei Maxima bilden: das Silberoxyd- und das Silberphosphat-Maximum, während beim Zusatz von KBr noch ein weiteres Silberbromid-Maximum entsteht. Der Einfluß zugesetzter Salpetersäure wurde systematisch geprüft und die betreffenden p_H-Werte mittels der Glaselektrode bestimmt. Das Silberphosphat-Maximum wird immer bei ungefähr demselben p_H-Wert gebildet. In der Diskussion ist der Charakter der Maxima besprochen. Unter Anwendung kleiner Mengen von Gelatine konnte festgestellt werden, daß das Silberphosphat-Maximum ein Kristallisationsmaximum, während das Silberbromid ein Koagulationsmaximum ist.     

A simple procedure for the quantitative microdetermination of rhamnose

Summary A simple spectrophotometric procedure for microdetermination of rhamnose is described. It is based on breakdown of the sugar with sulphuric acid followed by treatment withp-hydroxydiphenyl. The coloured product is measured spectrophotometrically at 560 nm. A linear relationship exists between the amount of rhamnose (10-0g–) and the absorbance. The method is recommended for determination of rhamnose in samples containing rhamnose, different neutral sugars, amino-sugars, sugar alcohols, uronic acids, and muramic acid.

Zusammenfassung Ein einfaches spektralphotometrisches Verfahren zur Mikrobestimmung von Rhamnose wurde beschrieben. Es beruht auf der Spaltung des Zuckers mit Schwefelsäure und nachfolgender Behandlung mit p-Hydroxydiphenyl. Das gefärbte Reaktionsprodukt wird spektralphotometrisch bei 560 nm gemessen. Die Extinktion steht mit der Rhamnosemenge in linearer Beziehung. Das Verfahren wird für die Rhamnosebestimmung in Proben empfohlen, die verschiedene Neutralzucker, Aminozucker, Zuckeralkohole, Uronsäuren und Muramsäure enthalten.

     

The stability constant ratios of tri-N-octyl amine hydrochloride and bisulphate

The equilibria between the solution of TOA in toluene and mixtures of sulphuric and hydrochloric acid been studied. They were characterized by ratios of stability constants of amine salts formed in the organic phase.
