Rhodamine-19 (Rh-19) incorporated three types of sol–gel samples (mentioned as dope route-I, dope route-II and dip method) were prepared by using two different methods of dye impregnation. The photophysical properties of all the three types of Rh-19 incorporated sol–gel solids were studied by using the UV–Visible absorption and the fluorescence spectroscopy. A single photon counting technique was used to estimate the lifetime of fluorescent species. From the study of fluorescence spectra, the coexistence of dimers (fluorescent and non-fluorescent both) and monomer of Rh-19 was observed. The photophysical properties of Rh-19 were found to be the best in dip sample, medium in dope route-II sample and low in dope route-I sample. After studying photophysical properties, the samples were subjected to laser study under nitrogen laser pumping at 337.1 nm at the rate of 1.5 Hz in transverse dye laser cavity. The highest laser efficiency and photostability of the dye were observed in dip sample, medium in dope route-II sample and small in dope route-I sample. A comparison between photophysical properties and laser performance of these materials showed a very good correlation.  相似文献

We propose a model for an anisotropic dark energy star where we assume that the radial pressure exerted on the system due to the presence of dark energy is proportional to the isotropic perfect fluid matter density. We discuss various physical features of our model and show that the model satisfies all the regularity conditions and is stable as well as singularity-free.  相似文献

The phonon dispersion curves for aluminium arsenide and antimonide have been investigated by using a deformation bond approximation model. The results obtained from this model are compared with the experimental values wherever it is available. Since there is no complete experimental phonon dispersion curves for AlAs, we could not compare our calculated results, but the results of AlSb have been compared with the inelastic neutron scattering measurements at 15 K. However, we compare the phonon frequencies of AlAs and AlSb at critical points of the Brillouin zone obtained by our calculations and Raman spectroscopy measurements. This model predicts the phonon modes satisfactorily in all the symmetry directions of the Brillouin zone (BZ). The spectrum has similar features as observed in other III–V compound semiconductors.  相似文献

Adsorption of Sb at a very low flux rate results in an epitaxial layer-by-layer growth on Si(111) surface held at room-temperature. Band-bending is not observed for submonolayer Sb coverages while sharp changes in the photoemission features are observed for 1.0 monolayer (ML) Sb adsorption. Changes in the core level binding energy and width in X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, surface related feature in Electron energy loss spectroscopy and spot intensity ratios in Low energy electron diffraction studies suggest a surface phase transition upon adsorption of 1.0 monolayer of Sb. A plausible model is proposed to explain the abrupt metal-semiconductor transformation at this critical coverage of 1.0 ML.  相似文献

New filtering scheme is investigated and implemented on digital speckle pattern interferometric fringes to enhance the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) in the speckle interferograms. To establish the potential of new filtering scheme the experiment was conducted on the vibrating cantilever beam. Experimental results revealed that the new filtering scheme is more powerful than other known filtering schemes (Kumar et al. Opt Laser Eng 2004;41:81–93. Kumar et al. Opt Eng 1996;35:9–14). The new scheme reduced the speckle noise and improved SNR in speckle interferograms. Further, the new investigated filtering scheme is implemented to study the mode shapes of square plates under two different boundary conditions. In the first condition all the edges of the square plate were fixed while in the second condition two adjacent edges were fixed and the remaining two edges were free. From the experimental results it is clear that the mode shapes are more distinctly visible with the implementation of the new filtering scheme as compared to other known schemes. Under both the boundary conditions the recorded resonance frequencies were compared with the calculated values of resonance frequencies based on classical theory. The results obtained form DSPI show good agreement with classical theory.  相似文献

A novel hybrid nanostructured material comprising superparamagnetic magnetite nanoparticles (MNPs) and pectin was synthesized by crosslinking with Ca2+ ions to form spherical calcium pectinate nanostructures, referred as MCPs, which were typically found to be 100-150 nm in size in dried condition, confirmed from transmission electron microscopy and scanning electron microscopy. The uniform size distribution was revealed from dynamic light scattering measurement. In aqueous medium the MCPs showed swelling behavior with an average size of 400 nm. A mechanism of formation of spherical MCPs is outlined constituting a MNP-pectin interface encapsulated by calcium pectinate at the periphery, by using an array of characterization techniques like zeta potential, thermogravimetry, Fourier transformed infrared and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The MCPs were stable in simulated gastrointestinal fluid and ensured minimal loss of magnetic material. They exhibited superparamagnetic behavior, confirmed from zero field cooled and field cooled profiles and showed high saturation magnetization (Ms) of 46.21 emu/g at 2.5 T and 300 K. Ms decreased with increasing precursor pectin concentrations, attributed to quenching of magnetic moments by formation of a magnetic dead layer on the MNPs.  相似文献

We report the formation of mesoporous zinc sulphide, composed by the fine network of nanoparticles, which was formed via a single precursor Zn(SOCCH3)2Lut2 complex. The complex was chemically synthesized using zinc carbonate basic, 3,5-lutidine and thioacetic acid, in air. The metal precursor complex was characterized using different conventional techniques. Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) result indicates that the decomposition of the complex starts at 100 °C and continues up to 450 °C, finally yielding ZnS. ZnS nanocrystals were characterized by powder X-ray diffraction (XRD) technique, field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), N2-sorption isotherm, UV-vis spectroscopy and photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy. The grain diameter of nanocrystals was found to be 4-5 nm. The material followed Type-IV N2-sorption isotherm, which is the characteristic of mesoporous materials. The band gap energy, as obtained from optical measurements was around 3.8 eV.  相似文献

Non-aqueous polymer gel electrolytes containing trifluoromethanesulfonic acid (HCF3SO3) and polyethylene oxide (PEO) as the gelling polymer has been studied. The increase in conductivity observed with the addition of PEO to liquid electrolytes has been explained to be due to the breaking of ion aggregates present in electrolytes at higher acid concentrations. The increase in free H+ ion concentration upon breaking of ion aggregates has also been observed in pH measurements and viscosity of gel electrolytes has been found to increase with PEO addition. Polymer gel electrolytes containing dimethylacetamide (DMA) have σ ∼ 10−2 S/cm at room temperature and are stable over −50 to 125 °C range of temperature. Gels based on propylene carbonate (PC) and ethylene carbonate (EC) are stable in the −50 to 40 °C temperature range and loose their gelling nature above 40 °C.  相似文献

Continuous-wave and Q-switched lasing from a Tm(3+)/Ho(3+) codoped tellurite fiber is reported. An Yb(3+)/Er(3+)-doped silica fiber laser operating at 1.6 microm was used as an in-band pump source, exciting the Tm(3+) ions into the (3)F(4) level. Energy is then nonradiatively transferred to the upper laser level, the (5)I(7) state of Ho(3+). The laser transition is from the (5)I(7) level to the (5)I(8) level, and the resulting emission is at 2.1 microm. For continuous wave operation, the slope efficiency was 62% and the threshold 0.1 W; the maximum output demonstrated was 0.16 W. Mechanical Q switching resulted in a pulse of 0.65 microJ energy and 160 ns duration at a repetition rate of 19.4 kHz.  相似文献
