A Bayesian statistical approach is introduced to assess experimental data from the analyses of radionuclide activity concentration in environmental samples (low activities). A theoretical model has been developed that allows the use of known prior information about the value of the measurand (activity), together with the experimental value determined through the measurement. The model has been applied to data of the Inter-laboratory Proficiency Test organised periodically among Spanish environmental radioactivity laboratories that are producing the radiochemical results for the Spanish radioactive monitoring network. A global improvement of laboratories performance is produced when this prior information is taken into account. The prior information used in this methodology is an interval within which the activity is known to be contained, but it could be extended to any other experimental quantity with a different type of prior information available.  相似文献

The methanolysis of the Cu(II) complex of N-acetyl-N,N-bis(2-picolyl)amine (2) was investigated by a kinetic study as a function of pH in methanol at 25 °C and computationally by DFT calculations. The active species is the basic form of the complex (3(-)), or (1:Cu(II))((-)OCH(3))(HOCH(3))), and the rate constant for its solvolysis is k(max) = 1.5 × 10(-4) s(-1). The mechanism involves Cu(II) binding to the amide N lone pair, decoupling it from >N-C═O resonance, concomitant with Cu(II):((-)OCH(3)) delivery to the adjacent >N-C═O unit, followed by Cu(II)-assisted departure of the N,N-bis(2-picolyl)amide from a tetrahedral intermediate.  相似文献

This paper considers the problem of evaluating the maximum load that an elastic–plastic frame structure can withstand when material or element softening is present. Here we propose an extension of the Linear Matching Method to take into account material softening. The technique has two major steps: reduction of the total potential energy to obtain the solution of a linear problem and scaling of the resulting mechanism of deformation to maximize the load. Two procedures are evaluated for the second of these steps; a direct approach which simply examines how the solution evolves along a radial path in degree of freedom space, and an incremental method which takes into account how the solution might evolve along paths away from this radial line. It is demonstrated that the incremental approach is more robust and provides stable solutions for high and low levels of softening, but numerical instabilities in the procedure can occur for intermediate degrees of softening.  相似文献

We link two phenomena concerning the asymptotical behavior of stochastic processes: (i) abrupt convergence or cut-off phenomenon, and (ii) the escape behavior usually associated to exit from metastability. The former is characterized by convergence at asymptotically deterministic times, while the convergence times for the latter are exponentially distributed. We compare and study both phenomena for discrete-time birth-and-death chains on ℤ with drift towards zero. In particular, this includes energy-driven evolutions with energy functions in the form of a single well. Under suitable drift hypotheses, we show that there is both an abrupt convergence towards zero and escape behavior in the other direction. Furthermore, as the evolutions are reversible, the law of the final escape trajectory coincides with the time reverse of the law of cut-off paths. Thus, for evolutions defined by one-dimensional energy wells with sufficiently steep walls, cut-off and escape behavior are related by time inversion.  相似文献

A complete 13C NMR characterization of a polymer synthesized with a new Ni‐diimine complex [DADNi(NCS)2, where DAD = 2,6iPr? C6H3? N?C(Me)? C(Me)? N? 2,6iPr? C6H3] activated by methylaluminoxane by homopolymerization of propylene is presented. The amorphous material was made up mainly of blocks of syndiotactic polypropylene and ethylene–propylene copolymer. Some degree of propylene inversion (<1.2 mol %) and of long isobutyl and 2‐methyl hexyl branching (<1 mol %) were assigned and quantified. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The reaction of 2-(1-methyl-2-piperidinyl)ethanethiol with sodium tetrachloro-palladate(II) at pH = 8 yields a yellow precipitate of formula [Pd2(C8H16NS)2Cl2] which crystallized in the orthorhombic space group Pcab with a = 22.050(4) Å, b = 14.644(3) Å, c = 13.834(3) Å, V = 4467(3) Å3, and Z = 8. The organic ligands chelate to one Pd atom through the S and N atoms and bridges to another Pd atom through the S atom to form a dimer in which each molecule of the organic ligand has the same chirality. IR, UV—Vis and 1H NMR spectra are presented for this compound.  相似文献

Decoration of TiO2 nanotube films (TiO2 nanotube arrays (TNAs)) with CdS nanoparticles has been pursued for a broad range of applications that goes from solar cells to biological sensors. In most synthesis methods, the scale-up of devices has been challenging due to the poor contact at the chalcogenide/oxide interface. In this work, we validate the electrochemical/thermal/chemical route as a superior strategy to sensitize TNAs with CdS nanoparticles when compared with conventional methods. The process consisted of (i) electrodeposition of cadmium on TNAs to ensure strong bonding between TiO2 and Cd precursor particles, (ii) air annealing of Cd-decorated TNAs to thermally oxidize cadmium to cadmium oxide, and (iii) total sulfurization of cadmium oxide to obtain CdS in an hexagonal phase matching that of TNAs. X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) analyses indicated the complete transformation of cadmium precursor particles into CdS and a good surface coverage of the internal/external walls of TNAs. When compared to samples prepared by successive ionic layer adsorption and reaction (SILAR), electrochemical impedance spectroscopy data revealed the improvement of the electrical properties of the TNA matrix due to the sulfurization process and a lower contact resistance at the CdS/TNA interface. These improvements explain the superior photoelectrochemical response of CdS/TNA photoelectrodes obtained by the electrochemical/thermal/chemical route.  相似文献

An electrochemical sensor for metronidazole (MTZ) was built via the surface modification of a carbon paste electrode (CPE) by a film obtained through electropolymerization of α‐cyclodextrin (CPEα‐CD). The CPEα‐CD was characterized by cyclic voltammetry (CV) and atomic force microscopy (AFM), by both techniques was demonstrated that the polymer film is coating the electrode surface. The electroreduction behaviour of MTZ in HClO4 media as a supporting electrolyte was studied by differential‐pulse voltammetric (DPV) technique. The DPV electrochemical process was observed to be diffusion controlled and irreversible. Under optimal conditions, the peak current was proportional to MTZ concentration in the range of 0.5 to 103.0 μM with a detection limit of 0.28±0.02 μM. The method was successfully applied to quantify of MTZ in pharmaceutical formulations. In addition, this proposed MTZ sensor exhibited good reproducibility, long‐term stability and fast current response.  相似文献
