An electroanalytical study of the herbicide propazine's reduction process in micellar solutions and oil-in-water emulsions is reported. The anionic surfactant sodium pentanesulphonate was chosen as the most suitable. The differential pulse polarograms of micellar solutions had two reduction peaks below pH 2.0, whereas only one peak was obtained above pH 2.O. Ethyl acetate was chosen as the organic solvent to form propazine emulsions. Unlike in micellar solutions, the DPP polarograms of propazine emulsions showed only one peak even at pH < 2.0, suggesting that propazine hydrolysis was hindered in the emulsified medium. The limiting current is diffusion-controlled and the electrode process is irreversible. Propazine can be determined by differential pulse polarography over the 1.0 × 10–1 – 1.0 × 10–1moll–1 and 1.0 × 10–15 – 4.0 × 10–1 moll–1 concentration ranges and the limit of detection was 2.8 × 10–1 moll–1. Of the potential interferents simazine, methoprotryne and terbutryn (alls-triazines), thiram (a dithiocarbamate), dinoseb (nitrophenolic), and heptachlor (chlorinated cyclo-diene herbicide), only the first two were significant (10% error for equimolar concentrations). The method was applied to the determination of propazine in spiked drinking water. At a concentration level of 2.0 × 10–1 moll–1 a recovery of 94 ± 6% was obtained, after tenfold concentration on Sep-Pak.  相似文献

α-1-Acid glycoprotein (AGP) is a serum glycoprotein that presents several isoforms. Changes in the isoforms of AGP have been related to different pathological states including cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) such as acute myocardial infarction. However, to our knowledge, the role of variations of AGP isoforms as a potential biomarker of atherothrombosis has not been addressed. In this work, a preliminary study about differences in the capillary zone electrophoresis (CZE) profile of intact (non-hydrolyzed) AGP isoforms between healthy individuals and patients with atherothrombosis, specifically abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) and carotid atherosclerosis (CTA), has been performed. Biological samples (plasmas and sera) were analyzed by CZE after immunoaffinity chromatography purification. Up to 13 peaks corresponding to groups of isoforms of intact AGP from plasma samples were detected by CZE-UV. Electrophoretic profiles were aligned, peaks assigned, and linear discriminant analysis (LDA) of percentage of the corrected areas of AGP peaks was employed to discriminate and classify the CZE profiles of AGP samples. LDA enabled to accomplish 92.9% of correct classification of the AGP samples when the three groups of samples were considered. Besides, the LDA model showed high predictive power in the groups healthy vs. sick, healthy vs. AAA, and healthy vs. CTA. The described method was a successful approach to study the potential of AGP isoforms profile as a biomarker of atherothrombosis. To the best of our knowledge this has been the first time that a possible role of the CZE profile of intact AGP isoforms as a biomarker of vascular diseases has been demonstrated.  相似文献

We have analyzed the genomic distribution and organization of the long interspersed nucleotide element (LINE) L1Tc, a nonlong terminal repeat (LTR) retrotransposon of Trypanosoma cruzi. The results indicate that the L1Tc element is dispersed along the parasite genome and that in some regions it is organized in tandem repeats. The data allowed us to define the existence of short direct-repeated sequences flanking the genomic L1Tc elements. Relevant is the finding that the LINE L1Tc is located in genomic regions rich in short interspersed nucleotide elements (SINE)-like sequences. In particular, the L1Tc element is found associated to E13-related sequences, redefined in this work and renamed RS13Tc, and to a newly described RS1Tc sequence. The RS1Tc sequence is present, per haploid genome, in about 3,200 copies. Northern blot analysis showed that the RS1Tc is being transcribed into RNAs of different sizes. The analysis of the chromosomal distribution of these elements in various strains of T. cruzi suggested that this type of clustering might be a common feature of the genome of these parasites.  相似文献

We apply time-dependent density functional theory to study the valence electron excitations of molecules and generalize the typically used time-propagation scheme and Casida's method to calculate the full wavevector dependent response function. This allows the computational study of dipole-forbidden valence electron transitions and the dispersion of spectral weight as a function of the wavevector. The method provides a novel analysis tool for spectroscopic methods such as inelastic x-ray scattering and electron energy loss spectroscopy. We present results for benzene and CF(3)Cl and make a comparison with experimental results.  相似文献

An automorphism of an abelian variety induces a decomposition of the variety up to isogeny. There are two such results, namely the isotypical decomposition and Roan’s decomposition theorem. We show that they are essentially the same. Moreover, we generalize in a sense this result to abelian varieties with action of an arbitrary finite abelian group. Tris(2‐ and 3‐ureidobenzyl)amines with Cs symmetry self‐assemble in solution forming mixtures of regioisomeric capsular aggregates, one of which is chiral and the other centrosymmetric. Under certain conditions, a predominance of the centrosymmetric regioisomer is found before equilibrium, that is, a mixture close to the statistical ratio of the two species is reached. In the solid state, there is a preference for the centrosymmetric capsules. Molecular models of both regioisomeric aggregates have been built and analyzed for comparison. Guests inside capsules formed by self‐assembly of desymmetrized tris(3‐ureidobenzyl)amines feel different magnetic environments, depending on whether they are inside a chiral or an achiral regioisomeric container. Of special significance are the experiments with a more flexible triurea endowed with an ureidopropylic arm, which self‐assembles with the same efficiency as the more rigid tris(ureidobenzyl)amines.  相似文献

The influence of heat treatment on the texture, microstructure and tensile mechanical properties of extruded thin films of a series of high‐performance thermotropic liquid crystal polymers (LCPs) was investigated. LCPs based on random units of hydroxybenzoic acid (B), hydroxynaphthoic acid (N), terephthalic acid (TA) and biphenol (BP) were kindly supplied by the former Hoechst Celanese Corp as 50 µm thick extruded tapes. The LCPs, denoted B‐N, COTBP and RD1000, have B and N as common comonomers and vary the other comonomers. Thus, this study also enables the investigation of the influence of monomer composition on microstructure and mechanical properties. Heat treatments were carried out at temperatures close to the solid‐to‐nematic transition (Tsn) for periods up to 5 h, under dry air conditions. The thermal treatment produced either two endotherms or a small increase of Tsn (B‐N and RD1000), or increased significantly Tsn (COTBP). Moreover, when heat treatment was carried out approximately 40°C below the respective Tsn, the mechanical Young's modulus, E, along the extrusion axis, increased for all LCPs. Strikingly, for COTBP, E increased over 100% relative to the as‐extruded film. The results also showed that the optimum treatment time for improving the Young modulus, under dry air atmosphere, was between 3 and 4 h. Wide‐angle X‐ray scattering showed a significant sharpening of crystalline reflections and concentration of the 002 meridional reflection as a result of thermal treatment, suggesting the elimination of defects and a better alignment of the molecular chains along the extrusion axis.
