An increase in the density of states between the oxygen 2p bands and the Fermi level is seen with increasing Gd concentrations. In addition, for the Gd-doped HfO2 films, the Gd 4f photoexcitation peak at 5.5 eV below the valence band maximum was identified using resonant photoemission. Electrical measurements show pronounced rectification properties for lightly-doped Gd:HfO2 films on p-Si and for heavily-doped Gd:HfO2 films on n-Si, suggesting a crossover from n-type to p-type behavior with increasing doping level. In addition, there is an increase in the reverse bias current with neutron irradiation.  相似文献

The mass shift of surface electrons in helium has been investigated theoretically caused by electron-ripplon interaction as a function of electromagnetic field power absorbed by a system. It is shown that the mass shift is negative at weak powers of external field but it increases as the power increases and changes its sign. The results of calculation and comparison with the experimental data testify to the favourable role of two-ripplon scattering processes in energy relaxation of surface electrons above helium.  相似文献

Abstract

The effect of chemical composition of the crystallization medium in synthesis on and some properties of cubic boron nitride (cBN) has been studied. Cubic BN crystals with the lowest free boron content and a boron-nitrogen ratio close to the stoichiometric one are grown in a multicomponent crystallization medium in a Li3N-BN system. Magnetic linear dichroism (MLD) is observed in polycrystalline La0.7Sr0.3MnO3 films in transmitted light. The spectral and temperature dependences of the MLD are determined for the energy E of the light wave ranging from 1.5 to 3.5 eV. The experimental spectra are fitted by a sum of Lorentzian curves. The MLD spectrum exhibits more features in comparison to the spectra of magnetic circular dichroism (MCD), which we measured earlier using the same film samples. Various temperature behaviors of the intensities of the Lorentzian components centered at different E values have been revealed. This can be related to the effect of the surface states on the magneto-optical characteristics of the samples.  相似文献

We present a new scheme of quantum memory for optical images (spatially multimode light fields) that allows mapping the quantum state of the signal onto the long-lived coherence of the ground state of an ensemble of stationary atoms or impurity centers. The memory medium is embedded in an optical cavity with degenerate transverse modes, which increases the effective optical thickness of the medium and allows one, in principle, to store information in optically thin atomic layers. Since, in reality, storage and retrieval of limited-duration signals, including signals shorter than the lifetime of the field in the cavity, is of interest, we do not use the low-Q cavity approximation. The influence of losses due to partial reflection of the nonstationary signal field incident on a coupling mirror on the storage efficiency is considered. We used the method of approximate impedance matching, wherein losses due to reflection can be minimized by controlling the coupling parameter of the light field with memory medium in time, thus creating conditions for destructive interference of the signal and local fields on the coupling mirror. The influence of diffraction on the transverse resolution of memory at the writing and readout stages is investigated, and the number of effectively stored transverse spatial modes of the signal is estimated.  相似文献
