The generation of computational grids is an important component contributing to the efficiency of numerical schemes of atmosphere/ocean dynamics. In this study the problem of construction of the most uniform grids based on conformal mappings of spherical domains is considered. Stereographic, cylindrical and conic grids for computational rectangles are developed and their uniformity is compared. Numerical experiments with two schemes approximating shallow water equations are performed in order to assess the practical efficiency of the constructed grids and to compare the numerical results with analytical evaluations.  相似文献

We study stability properties of the spectral Galerkin approximation of the solutions of semilinear problems. Assuming that the data of the problem are known within a certain error, we investigate when the solution of the Galerkin approximate equation provides a desired accuracy uniformly with respect to small perturbations of the data. We show that for certain classes of semilinear problems an additional compactness assumption is sufficient to assure that the spectral Galerkin method provides an accurate approximation to the exact solution uniformly with respect to small perturbations of the data. On an open interval we follow the paths of a Brownian motion which returns to a fixed point as soon as it reaches the boundary and restarts afresh indefinitely. We determine that two paths starting at different points either cannot collapse or they do so almost surely. The problem can be modelled as a spatially inhomogeneous random walk on a group and contrasts sharply with the higher dimensional case in that if two paths may collapse they do so almost surely.  相似文献

We give a uniform geometric realization for the cluster algebra of an arbitrary finite type with principal coefficients at an arbitrary acyclic seed. This algebra is realized as the coordinate ring of a certain reduced double Bruhat cell in the simply connected semisimple algebraic group of the same Cartan–Killing type. In this article, the asymptotic behavior of multitype Markov branching processes with discrete or continuous time is investigated in the positive regular and nonsingular case when both the initial number of ancestors and the time tend to infinity. Some limiting distributions are obtained as well as multivariate asymptotic normality is proved. The article also considers the relative frequencies of distinct types of individuals motivated by applications in the field of cell biology. We obtained non-random limits for the frequencies and multivariate asymptotic normality when the initial number of ancestors is large and the time of observation increases to infinity. In fact this paper continues the investigations of Yakovlev and Yanev [32 Yakovlev , A.Y. , and Yanev , N.M. 2009 . Relative frequencies in multitype branching processes .
