Excitations of a single spin embedded in the X Y chain are studied. We find that the magnetization does not approach equilibrium, even if the external magnetic field approaches a non-zero limit, and that oscillatory excitation resonates with the edge of the one-particle spectrum band.  相似文献

A 96-capillary array electrophoresis (CAE) instrument has been adapted for large-scale mono- and oligosaccharide analysis and characterization. Operational protocols and data processing tools have been developed to optimize the CAE system for this application. Automated 96-capillary array electrophoresis (CAE) methodology described in the first part of the present work offered large-scale high-performance profiling of oligo- and monosaccharides to fulfill the needs of bioindustrial laboratories. Sensitivity at low nanomolar concentration, good resolving power and reliability achieved in the experiments is invaluable for monitoring reaction products from enzymatic polysaccharide digestion with numerous applications in agricultural, chemical and food industries. In addition to optimization of mono- and oligosaccharide separations in CAE system and necessary operational protocol modifications, capillary-to-capillary and run-to-run variation in migration time and signal intensity necessitated development of data normalization tools. Internal fluorescent standards have been incorporated into the analysis aiding migration time normalization and CAE trace alignment. Data processing, visualization, and programming tools have been developed along with quantification approaches.  相似文献

A numerical simulation is carried out demonstrating the use of plate surface vibration measurements for detecting and locating inclusions within the structure. A finite element code is used to calculate normal surface displacement for both steel and mortar plates subjected to a monochromatic point force. The data is generated for the homogeneous plate and the identical plate within which exists a small rectangular inclusion. It is observed that when the elastic modulus of the inclusion is orders of magnitude lower than the base material, resonances of the inclusion produce large local displacements that are readily observed in the raw displacement data. For more modest moduli differences, there are no such directly observable effects. In this case, three inverse algorithms are used to process the displacement data. The first two are local inversion techniques that each yield a spatial map of the elastic modulus normalized by density. These algorithms successfully detect and localize the inclusion based on its modulus difference from that of the base plate. The third technique uses a form of the inhomogeneous equation of motion to obtain the induced force distribution connected with the inclusion. The spatial mapping of this force also successfully detects and localizes the inclusion.  相似文献

A new type of synchronization, on-off collective imperfect phase synchronization, is found in a turbulent state. In the driver frame the nonlinear wave system can be transformed to a set of coupled oscillators moving in a potential related to the unstable steady wave. In "on" stages the oscillators in different spatial scales adjust themselves to collective imperfect phase synchronization, inducing strong bursts in the wave energy. The interspike intervals display a power-law distribution. In addition to the embedded saddle point, it is emphasized that the delocalization of the master mode also plays an important role in developing the on-off synchronization.  相似文献

Gravitationally redshifted absorption lines of Fe XXVI, Fe XXV, and O VIII were inferred recently in the x-ray spectrum of the bursting neutron star EXO 0748-676. We place an upper limit on the stellar magnetic field based on the iron lines. The oxygen absorption feature shows a multiple component profile that is consistent with Zeeman splitting in a magnetic field of approximately (1-2) x 10(9) G and for which the corresponding Zeeman components of the iron lines are expected to be blended together. In other systems, a field strength > or approximately 5 x 10(10) G could induce a blueshift of the line centroids that would counteract gravitational redshift and complicate the derivation of constraints on the equation of state of the neutron star.  相似文献

Grignard reaction of ethyl 3-(3,5-dimethoxyphenyl)-propionate (4) followed by cyclodehydration of the carbinol (5) with conc H2SO4 gave 4,6-dimethoxy-3,3-dimethylindane (6). Oxidation of the indane (6) with CrO3-pyridine complex in methylene chloride gave 4,6-dimethoxy-3,3-dimethylindan-1- one (1) in high yield. Conjugate addition of methyl magnesium iodide to methyl α-cyano-β-methyl-3,5-dimethoxycinnamate (11), prepared from 3,5-dimethoxyacetophenone (10) by Knoevenagel condensation, resulted in methyl 2-cyano-3-(3,5-dimethoxyphenyl)-3,3-dimethylpropionate (12). Refluxing the ester (12) with aq DMSO containing sodium chloride gave the corresponding nitrile (15) which underwent Höesch reaction to yield 5,7-dimethoxy-3,3-dimethylindan-1-one (2).  相似文献
