In the framework of the tight binding model,the electronic transmission properties of two-dimensional Penrose lattices with free boundary conditions are studied using the generalized eigenfunction method (Phys.Rev.B 60(1999)13 444).The electronic transmission coefficients for Penrose lattices with different sizes and widths are calculated,and the result shows strong energy dependence because of the quasiperiodic structure and quantum coherent effect.Around the Fermi level E=0,there is an energy region with zero transmission amplitudes,which suggests that the studied systems are insulating.The spatial distributions of several typical electronic states with different transmission coefficients are plotted to display the propagation process. 相似文献

We have measured the equation of state for liquid nitrogen compressed dynamically to a pressure of 10-60 GPa by employing a two-stage light-gas gun.The data show a continuous phase transition above the shock pressure of 33GPa,as indicated previously by shock wave experiments.A theoretical model has been derived to examine the experimental data by inducing a molecular dissociative fraction.According to theoretical and experimental date the phase transition was thought to be a molecular dissociative phase transition. 相似文献

We propose a novel scheme to construct one-,two- or three-dimensional (1D,2D or 3D) atomic magnetic lattices by using various arrays of microscopic magnetic traps,which are composed of some arrays of current-carrying wires.The magnetic field distributions from 1D,2D and 3D arrays of the current-carrying wires are calculated,and some interesting and periodic magnetic microstructures are found.Our study shows that these magnetic lattices may be used to prepare 1D,2D or 3D photonic crystals and so on. 相似文献

We report on the spectral properties of Cr,Yb:YAG crystal co-doped with 0.025 at.% Cr and 10 at.% Yb are reported.Using a continuous wave Ti:sapphire laser as a pumping source,we have demonstrated the self-Q-switched Cr,Yb:YAG laser at room temperature.We obtained an average output power as much as 75mW at 1.03μm with a pulse width (FWHM)as short as 0.4μs.The laser experiment demonstrated that the Cr,Yb:YAG crystal exactly combines the Cr^4 saturable absorber and Yb^3 gain medium.The Cr,Yb:YAG crystal can be a most promising self-Q-switched laser crystal for compact and efficient solid-state lasers. 相似文献

We have used the transverse correlated properties of the entangled photon pairs generated in the process of spontaneous parametric down-conversion,which is pumped by a femtosecond pulse laser,to perform Young‘s interference experiment.Unlike the case of a continuous wave laser pump,a broadband pulse laser pump can submerge an interference pattern.In order to obtain a high visibility interference pattern,we used a lens with a tunable focal length and two interference filters to eliminate the effects of the broadband pump laser.It is proven that the process of two-photon direct interference is a post-selection process. 相似文献

Individual DNA molecules were first stretched by a centrifugal force and adsorbed on a modified mica surface.Then,a liquid flow was guided across the surface along a direction perpendicular to the aligned DNA strands.Some nano-catenary-like patterns of DNA molecules were formed,which were revealed by atomic force microscopy.A physical mechanism called the “s-suspension bridge” model has been presented,by which the features of the catenary-like patterns of DNA molecules can be understood quantitatively quite well. 相似文献

We investigate the nuclear shadowing effect on the K factor in the Drell-Yan process by introducing a Shadowing factor into the corresponding quantum chromodynamical αs order corrections.K factors for Au-Au collisions are calculated at the centre-of-mass system energies √s=60,130 and 200 GeV while the nuclear shadowing factor is taken into account.The numerical results indicate that the nuclear shadowing factor obviously raises the K value in the small x region,and for the same nucleon the K valus becomes smaller as the energy increases.The nuclear shadowing effect could be one reason for creating the non-constancy of the K factor. 相似文献

A self-consistent hybrid Monte Carlo Fluid model is presented to describe the nitrogen dc glow discharge.The movement of fast electrons is simulated by the Monte Carlo method while the dynamics of slow electrons and ions is by fluid equations.The spatial features of the charged species and the corresponding electric field throughout the discharge have been calculated,which include the creation rates of ions and slow electrons,densities of the charged species,the electric field and the potential distribution.These closely related results can give a selfconsistent explanation of the discharge characteristics throughout the space of nitrogen dc glow discharge.The calculated ion density is also compared with the corresponding experimental result. 相似文献

The effects of the magnetic field on the valence bond property of the double-quantum-dot molecule are numerically studied by the finite element method and perturbation approach because of the absence of cylindrical symmetry in the horizontally coupled dots.The calculation results show that the energy value of the ground state changes differently from that of the first excited state with increasing magnetic field strength,and they cross under a certain magnetic field.The increasing magnetic field makes the covalent bond state change into an ionic bond state,which agrees qualitatively with experimental results and and makes ionic bond states remain.The oscillator strength of transition between covalent bond states decreases distinctly with the increasing magnetic field strength,when the molecule is irradiated by polarized light.Such a phenomenon is possibly useful for actual applications. 相似文献
