On the characterisation of paired monotone metrics   总被引:1,自引:1,他引:0  
Hasegawa and Petz introduced the notion of paired monotone metrics. They also gave a characterisation theorem showing that Wigner-Yanase-Dyson metrics are the only members of the paired family. In this paper we show that the characterisation theorem holds true under hypotheses that are more general than those used in the above quoted references.  相似文献

Let A be a Weil algebra. The bijection between all natural operators lifting vector fields from m-manifolds to the bundle functor K A of Weil contact elements and the subalgebra of fixed elements SA of the Weil algebra A is determined and the bijection between all natural affinors on K A and SA is deduced. Furthermore, the rigidity of the functor K A is proved. Requisite results about the structure of SA are obtained by a purely algebraic approach, namely the existence of nontrivial SA is discussed.  相似文献

In this paper, we present a new algorithm to estimate a regression function in a fixed design regression model, by piecewise (standard and trigonometric) polynomials computed with an automatic choice of the knots of the subdivision and of the degrees of the polynomials on each sub-interval. First we give the theoretical background underlying the method: the theoretical performances of our penalized least-squares estimator are based on non-asymptotic evaluations of a mean-square type risk. Then we explain how the algorithm is built and possibly accelerated (to face the case when the number of observations is great), how the penalty term is chosen and why it contains some constants requiring an empirical calibration. Lastly, a comparison with some well-known or recent wavelet methods is made: this brings out that our algorithm behaves in a very competitive way in term of denoising and of compression.  相似文献

We survey three recent developments in algebraic combinatorics. The first is the theory of cluster algebras and the Laurent phenomenon of Sergey Fomin and Andrei Zelevinsky. The second is the construction of toric Schur functions and their application to computing three-point Gromov-Witten invariants, by Alexander Postnikov. The third development is the construction of intersection cohomology for nonrational fans by Paul Bressler and Valery Lunts and its application by Kalle Karu to the torich-vector of a nonrational polytope. Contrary to the common sense in economics and financial engineering, price fluctuations at very fine level of motion exhibit various evidences against the efficient market hypothesis. We attempt to investigate this issue by studying extensive amount of foreign currency exchange data for over five years at the finest level of resolution. We specifically focus on the proposed stability in binomial conditional probabilities originally found in much smaller examples of financial time series. In order to handle very large data, we have written an efficient program in C that automatically generates those conditional probabilities. It is found that the stability is maintained for extremely large time duration that covers almost the entire period. Based on the length of conditions for which the conditional probabilities are distinguishable each other, we identify the length of memory being less than 3 movements.  相似文献

Summary A 2D time-domain Boundary Element Method (BEM) is applied to solve the problem of transient scattering of plane waves by an inclusion with a unilateral smooth contact interface. The incident wave is assumed strong enough so that localized separations take place along the interface. The present problem is indeed a nonlinear boundary value problem since the mixed boundary conditions involve unknown intervals (separation and contact regions). In order to determine the unknown intervals, an iterative technique is developed. As an example, we consider the scattering of plane waves by the cross section of a circular cylinder embedded in an infinite solid. Numerical results for the near field solutions are presented. The distortion of the response waves and the variation of the interface states are discussed. The purpose of this paper is to establish universality of the fluctuations of the largest eigenvalue for some non-necessarily Gaussian complex Deformed Wigner Ensembles. The real model is also considered. Our approach is close to the one used by A. Soshnikov (cf. [11]) in the investigations of classical real or complex Wigner Ensembles. It is based on the computation of moments of traces of high powers of the random matrices under consideration.  相似文献

A Ti–45.9Al–8Nb (at%) alloy with a lamellar structure (γ+α2) was oxidised in air at 700, 800, 850 and 900°C in isothermal and thermal cycling conditions. The reaction progress was followed by thermogravimetric measurements. In isothermal conditions the oxidation kinetics followed approximately a parabolic rate law and the rate constants ranged from about 10–12 kg2 m–4 s–1 at 700°C to 10–10 kg2 m–4 s–1 at 900°C. The oxide scales were built of Al2O3 and TiO2, the former being the main component of the outermost layer. The oxidation behaviour of Ti–45.9Al–8Nb was referred to a commercial titanium alloy, WT4 (Ti–6Al–1Mn), and selected oxidation-resistant alloys.  相似文献
