Oligonucleotides containing 2-thiouridine (s2U) in place of uridine form stable RNA duplexes with complementary RNAs. Particularly, this modified nucleoside has proved to recognize highly selectively adenosine, the genuine partner, without formation of a mismatched base pair with the guanosine counterpart. In this paper, we describe new methods for the synthesis of 2-thiouridine and various 2'-O-alkyl-2-thiouridine derivatives. Oligoribonucleotides having these modified nucleoside derivatives were synthesized, and their hybridization and structural properties were studied in detail by the 1H NMR analysis of these modified nucleosides and Tm experiments of RNA duplexes with their complementary RNA strands.  相似文献

The clinical significance of osteocalcin in sera of bone tumors were measured in sera of various kinds of bone tumors. The levels of osteocalcin were higher in bone tumors than those in normal subjects. Serum osteocalcin levels in hypercalcemic groups of bone metastasis and myeloma showed a remarkable increase in a parallelism with serum ALP and LDH levels. These results suggested to be directly or indirectly activated on osteoblast by bone tumors and to be synthesized osteocalcin in osteoblast.  相似文献

The ion-pair extraction equilibria of dibenzo-18-crown-6 (DB18C6) complexes of Na+, K+, Rb+ and Cs+ (M+) with picrate ion (Pic) into 1,2-dichloroethane (1,2-DCE) have been studied at 25.0°C. In the case of the Rb+ and Cs+ systems, the extraction results were interpreted by taking into consideration the formation of a (DB18C6)2 -M+ complex in 1,2-DCE. The thermodynamic constants of extraction, , and ion-pair formation in 1,2-DCE, , of ion pairs of the DB18C6-M+ complexes with Pic were determined. By using the distribution coefficient of M+·Pic the thermodynamic formation constants of the DB18C6-M+ complexes in 1,2-DCE, , were evaluated. Consequently the component equilibrium constants of the ion-pair extraction were completely determined and a contribution of these constants to the difference of value was discussed. The value in 1,2-DCE is quite high compared with that in solvating solvents and log decreases linearly with increasing Gutmann donor number of solvents.  相似文献

A theoretical prediction of the electronic structures of fully pi-conjugated zinc oligoporphyrins with curved surface, ring, tube, and ball-shaped structures was conducted as the objective for the future development of triply meso-meso-, beta-beta-, and beta-beta-linked planar zinc oligoporphyrins. The excitation energies and oscillator strengths for the optimal ring and ball structures were calculated using the time-dependent density functional theory (DFT). Although there is an extremely small energy difference of < 0.1 eV between the highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO) and the lowest unoccupied molecular orbital (LUMO) of the ring structure relative to the same-sized triply linked planar one, the Q and B bands of the former are smaller redshifted excitation energies and intensified oscillator strengths than those of the latter due to the structurally shortened effective pi-conjugated lengths for the electron transition. It is expected that the ball structure becomes an excellent electron acceptor and shows the highly redshifted Q' band in the near-IR region relative to the monomer. The minimum value of the HOMO-LUMO energy gaps of the infinite-length ring structures was estimated using periodic boundary conditions within the DFT, resulting in the metallic characters of both the tube structures with and without the spiral triply linked porphyrin array. The relation between the diameters and strain energies of the tube and ball structures was also examined. The present fused zinc porphyrins may become more colorful materials with new optelectronic properties including artificial photosynthesis than the carbon nanotubes and fullerenes when the axial coordinations of the central metal of porphyrins are functionally used.  相似文献

The adsolubilization behaviors of 2-naphthol, biphenyl, and their binary solutes in the hexadecyltrimethyl ammonium bromide (HTAB) adsorbed layer formed on silica have been studied with solution pH. Two feed concentrations of HTAB are employed: 1.5 and 3.0 mmol dm(-3). At the feed concentration of 1.5 mmol dm(-3) HTAB, most of HTAB are adsorbed on the silica as a monolayer, while a bilayer formation occurs at the feed concentration of 3.0 mmol dm(-3). It is found that the adsolubilized amounts of respective single solutes increase with increasing solution pH except acidic region for biphenyl under a constant feed concentration of 2-naphthol (0.4 mmol dm(-3)) and biphenyl (0.047 mmol dm(-3)). The adsolubilization of binary solutes depends on the feed concentration of HTAB; at the low HTAB feed concentration, competitive adsolubilization between 2-naphthol and biphenyl occurs above pH 4.5, while at the high HTAB feed concentration the adsolubilization of biphenyl is enhanced by the incorporation of 2-naphthol over a whole pH region. These behaviors in the adsolubilization are discussed from the surfactant structure of HTAB adsorbed as well as the admicellar partitioning coefficients.  相似文献

Molybdenum (Mo) is an essential trace element in all kingdoms of life. Mo is bioavailable as the oxyanion molybdate and gains biological activity in eukaryotes when bound to molybdopterin, forming the molybdenum cofactor. The imbalance of molybdate homeostasis results in growth deficiencies or toxic symptoms within plants, fungi and animals. Recently, fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) methods have emerged, monitoring cellular and subcellular molybdate distribution dynamics using a genetically encoded molybdate-specific FRET nanosensor, named MolyProbe. Here, we show that the MolyProbe system is a fast and reliable in vitro assay for quantitative molybdate determination. We added a Strep-TagII affinity tag to the MolyProbe protein for quick and easy purification. This MolyProbe is highly stable, resistant to freezing and can be stored for several weeks at 4 °C. Furthermore, the molybdate sensitivity of the assay peaked at low nM levels. Additionally, The MolyProbe was applied in vitro for quantitative molybdate determination in cell extracts of the plant Arabidopsis thaliana, the fungus Neurospora crassa and the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae. Our results show the functionality of the Arabidopsis thaliana molybdate transporter MOT1.1 and indicate that FRET-based molybdate detection is an excellent tool for measuring bioavailable Mo.  相似文献

Abstract

The growth of Ni3Si surface films on Ni-12.7at%Si alloys has been measured during lMeV electron irradiation. Stereoscopic techniques were used to determine film thickness from dark field images formed from Ni3Si superlattice reflections. Parabolic growth kinetics are observed at lower temperatures. However, at higher temperatures, deviations from parabolic kinetics are observed after short irradiation times. Such deviations have not been observed in bulk specimens during bombardment with energetic ions and, therefore, may be due to foil thickness effects.  相似文献

We report electrically detected electron spin resonance (ESR) measurements of a high mobility two-dimensional (2D) electron system formed in a Si/SiGe quantum well, with millimeter wave in a high magnetic field . The negative ESR signal observed under an in-plane magnetic field gives direct evidence that the spin polarization leads to a resistance increase in the 2D metallic state. Suppression of spin decoherence was observed in the quantum Hall state at the Landau level filling factor ν=2. Strength of the nuclear magnetic field in the resonance is evaluated to be less than , much smaller than that reported for GaAs/AlGaAs heterostructures.  相似文献

Many researching efforts have been reported to seek various fundamental LC resonance structures, recently. But still the Split Ring Resonator (SRR) is the most famous and major fundamental LC-resonance structure used in the metamaterial. We employed SRR structure as the fundamental LC-resonance mechanism to fabricate photonic crystal with periodic arrangement of two different metamaterial areas composed from SRR arrays on the dielectric substrate. We developed Photonic Metamaterial Crystal (PMC) to realize the more advanced and versatile functions of the metamaterial by 1 dimensional or 2 dimensional periodic arranging of two metamaterial sections which have different dispersion properties due to the different size of SRR structures each other. In this paper, we report the fabrication process, estimation of PMC properties and some possible future application prospects, for instance the PMC waveguide structures and nonlinear properties of PMC observed as selective LC-resonant properties in Raman mapping analysis of PMC. These are quite interesting characters of PMC and the attractive applications as the PMC devices.  相似文献
