The effect of combined doping by shallow donor and acceptor impurities on boosting the quantum yield of porous-silicon photoluminescence (PL) in the visible and near IR range was studied using phosphorus and boron ion implantation. Nonuniform doping of samples and subsequent oxidizing annealing were performed before and after porous silicon was formed on silicon single crystals strongly doped by arsenic or boron up to ≈1019 cm?3. The concentration of known Pb centers of nonradiative recombination was controlled by electron paramagnetic resonance. It is shown that there is an optimal joined content of shallow donors and acceptors that provides a maximum PL intensity in the vicinity of the red part of the visible spectrum. According to estimates, the PL quantum yield in the transitional n ++-p + or p ++-n + layer of porous silicon increases by two orders of magnitude as compared to that in porous silicon formed on silicon not subjected to ion irradiation. 相似文献

A model of a helical nanotube permitting analytical calculation of the spectrum and wave functions is proposed and studied. It is shown that the specific character of the symmetry of the Hamiltonian results in an electronic spectrum having no band structure despite the periodicity of the potential along the system axis. A two-dimensional ribbon rolled into a helix and a quasi-one-dimensional helix in a magnetic field are considered as limiting cases of the model. It is shown that the presence of additional local minima in the subbands of the electronic spectrum leads to a nonmonotonic dependence of the ballistic conductance of the system on the chemical potential. 相似文献

The magnetic structure and transport properties of partially disordered crystals of two-dimensional manganites La2?2x Sr1+2x Mn2O7 (x = 0.3, 0.4) are studied over a wide range of temperatures. The crystals are transformed into an atomically disordered state under irradiation with fast neutrons at a dose of 2 × 1019 cm?2. The average concentration of substitutional defects in the crystal is ≈4%. It is found that substitutional defects are responsible for the transition of these manganites from the ferromagnetic metal state to the insulator state with a spin glass structure. The results obtained are discussed in terms of the ratio between the kinetic energy of charge carriers and the exchange energy of localized spins. 相似文献

The combined effect of a surface (edge) barrier and volume pinning on the dependence of critical current I c on the magnetic field (I⊥H 0) in bulk type II superconductors is investigated. In low magnetic fields, there is a portion of the curve I c(H 0) where I c grows with H 0, causing a nontrivial peak effect in this field range. Such behavior is explained by the combined effect of a surface (edge) barrier and volume pinning, the latter being rather sensitive to the transport current density distribution in a superconductor. 相似文献

The percolation threshold p 0 ≈ 0.6 is determined for monodisperse platinum nanostructures with 1.8-nm metallic particles deposited in a monolayer onto an insulating substrate through laser electrodispersion. It is shown that, in the “metallic” state (for p > p 0), both the magnitude of the noise and its temperature dependence are close to those of pure metallic Pt layers. The frequency dependence of the normalized noise power spectral density is described by the relationship S I /I 2 ~ 1/f γ with the exponent γ close to unity. For current densities j ≥ 107?108 A/cm2, the noise power spectral density S I increases more rapidly with a further increase in the current as compared to I 2 because of the current generating excess defects. For p < p 0, the dependence of the conductivity σ on the temperature is adequately described by the standard relationship σ ~ exp[?(T 0/T)1/2]. The normalized noise power spectral density S I /I 2 exceeds the corresponding value for a quasi-metallic structure by many orders of magnitude. The noise power spectral density S I is approximately proportional to the square of the current only for very low currents and increases steeply with a further increase in the current. 相似文献

The dynamics of multiphoton transitions in a two-level spin system excited by transverse microwave and longitudinal RF fields with the frequencies ωmw and ωrf, respectively, is analyzed. The effective time-independent Hamiltonian describing the “dressed” spin states of the “spin + bichromatic field” system is obtained by using the Krylov-Bogoliubov-Mitropolsky averaging method. The direct detection of the time behavior of the spin system by the method of nonstationary nutations makes it possible to identify the multiphoton transitions for resonances ω0 = ωmw + rωrf (ω0 is the central frequency of the EPR line, r = 1, 2), to measure the amplitudes of the effective fields of these transitions, and to determine the features generated by the inhomogeneous broadening of the EPR line. It is shown that the Bloch-Siegert shifts for multiphoton resonances at the inhomogeneous broadening of spectral lines reduce only the nutation amplitude but do not change their frequencies. 相似文献

The evolution of the spatial distribution of the magnetic induction in a superconductor after the action of the alternating magnetic field perpendicular to the trapped magnetic flux has been analyzed. The observed stabilization of the magnetic induction profile is attributed to the increase in the pinning force, so that the screening current density becomes subcritical. The spectra of specular reflection and diffraction of light for a resonant two-dimensional photonic crystal consisting of semiconductor cylinders embedded in a dielectric matrix, as well as the exciton-polariton band structure of this crystal, are studied theoretically.
