A substituted poly(phenylacetylene) derivative (PPAHB) with two hydroxymethyl groups at the meta position of the side phenyl ring was examined as a conformation-switchable helical spring polymer that responds to solvent and heat stimuli in a precisely controlled manner. Intramolecular hydrogen bonds, which cause the helical structure of the polymer, were broken and re-formed by adjusting the hydrogen-bonding strength values (pKHB) of various combinations of solvents or by varying the temperature. In this process, a reversible conformational change from cis–cisoid to cis–transoid, accompanied by a phase transition in the form of a helix-coil transformation occurred, with the polymer exhibiting critical changes of color fading and recovery in specific environments. These results demonstrate that PPAHB can be used as either a pKHB indicator or a thermometer. The color changes of the polymer solution are described in detail based on spectroscopic analyses and thermodynamic considerations. 相似文献

We propose a label-free method for measuring intracellular temperature using a Raman image of a cell in the O−H stretching band. Raman spectra of cultured cells and the medium were first measured at various temperatures using a Raman microscope and the intensity ratio of the two regions of the O−H stretching band was calculated. The intensity ratio varies linearly with temperature in both the medium and cells, and the resulting calibration lines allow simultaneous visualization of both intracellular and extracellular temperatures in a label-free manner. We applied this method to the measurement of temperature changes after the introduction of FCCP (carbonyl cyanide-p-trifluoromethoxyphenylhydrazone) in living cells. We observed a temperature rise in the cytoplasm and succeeded in obtaining an image of the change in intracellular temperature after the FCCP treatment. 相似文献

Environmentally sustainable and selective conversion of methane to valuable chemicals under ambient conditions is pivotal for the development of next-generation photocatalytic technology. However, due to the lack of microscopic knowledge about non-thermal methane conversion, controlling and modulating photocatalytic oxidation processes driven by photogenerated holes remain a challenge. Here, we report novel function of metal cocatalysts to accept photogenerated holes and dominate selectivity of methane oxidation, which is clearly beyond the conventional concept in photocatalysis that the metal cocatalysts loaded on the surfaces of semiconductor photocatalysts mostly capture photogenerated electrons and dominate reduction reactions exclusively. The novel photocatalytic role of metal cocatalysts was verified by operando molecular spectroscopy combined with real-time mass spectrometry for metal-loaded Ga2O3 model photocatalysts under methane and water vapor at ambient temperature and pressure. Our concept of metal cocatalysts that work as active sites for both photocatalytic oxidation and reduction provides a new understanding of photocatalysis and a solid basis for controlling non-thermal redox reactions by metal-cocatalyst engineering. 相似文献

We have investigated 3-substituted-2-phenylimidazo[2,1-b]benzothiazole derivatives and herein we have discussed their pharmaceutical activities. We found that some 2-phenyl-5,6,7,8-tetrahydroimidazo[2,1-b]-benzothiazoles could overcome multidrug resistance for tumor cells. Among them, 2-phenyl-3-(N-methyl-3-piperidyl)carbonylammomiinomemyl-5,6,7,8-tetrahydVoimidazo[2,1-b]benzothiazole [N276-12] demonstrated the most potent activity for overcoming multidrug resistance. 相似文献

The direct 4-alkoxylation of 4-iodo-1H-pyrazoles with alcohols was achieved by a CuI-catalyzed coupling protocol. The optimal reaction conditions employed excess alcohol and potassium t-butoxide (2 equiv) in the presence of CuI (20 mol%) and 3,4,7,8-tetramethyl-1,10-phenanthroline (20 mol%) at 130 °C for 1 h under microwave irradiation. The decay processes of core-valence doubly excited states near the N K edge of NO have been studied using electron spectroscopy. Electron yields measured as a function of photon energy and kinetic energy enable the clear identification of atomic Auger lines associated with the dissociation of doubly excited states. We report both experimental and theoretical studies on x-ray absorption measured in the resonant Auger scattering mode of gas phase carbon monoxide near the O1s-->2pi region. Both experiment and theory display a crucial difference between the x-ray absorption profiles obtained in the conventional and resonant scattering modes. Lifetime vibrational interference is the main source of the difference. It is demonstrated that such interference, which arises from a coherent excitation to overlapping intermediate levels, ruins the idea for obtaining x-ray absorption spectra in a lifetime broadening free regime. 相似文献
