A Two-Dimensional Photonic Crystal Slab Mirror with Silicon on Insulator for Wavelength 1.3μm

A concrete two-dimensional photonic crystal slab with triangular lattice used as a mirror for the light at wavelength 1.3μm with a silicon-on-insulator （SOI） substrate is designed by the three-dimensional plane wave expansion method. For TE-like modes, the bandgap in the Г-K direction is from 1087nm to 1559nm. The central wavelength in the bandgap is about 1.3μm, hence the incident light at wavelength 1.3μm will be strongly reflected. Experimentally, such a photonic crystal slab is fabricated on an SOI substrate by the combination of EBL and ICP etching. The measurement of its transmission characteristics shows the bandgap edge in a longer wavelength is about 1540 nm. The little discrepancy between the experimental data and the theoretical values is mainly due to the size discrepancy of the fabricated air holes.

Polymerization of cyclopentadiene initiated by methylaluminoxane

The polymerization of cyclopentadiene (CPD) was effectively initiated by methylaluminoxane (MAO) to generate poly(cyclopentadiene) (polyCPD). The effects on the polymerization of some reaction parameters such as the monomer concentration, the initiator concentration, and solvents were investigated. The conversion of CPD was monitored with gas chromatography to investigate the reaction kinetics. The polymerization rate was proportional to the concentrations of MAO in the first order and of the CPD monomer in the second order, and a reasonable cationic polymerization mechanism was suggested on the basis of the kinetic study. PolyCPD obtained at a low temperature could be dissolved in toluene or chloroform, and this indicated lower cross‐coupling during the polymerization reaction. ¹H NMR and IR analysis of the polymer indicated that there were almost equal amounts of 1,2‐enchainment and 1,4‐enchainment in the polymer chain. The measurement of polyCPD showed its unique properties as a potential candidate for stable wrappings or electronic packaging materials. © 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Spurious Shell Closures in the Relativistic Mean Field Model

Following a previous systematic theoretical study of the ground-state properties of over 7000 nuclei from the proton drip line to the neutron drip line in the relativistic mean field model [Prog. Theor. Phys. 113 （2005） 785], which is in fair agreement with existing experimental data, we observe a few spurious shell closures, i.e. proton shell closures at Z = 58 and Z = 92. These spurious shell closures are found to persist in all the effective forces of the relativistic mean field model, e.g. TMA, NL3, PKDD and DD-ME2.     

乌骨鸡磷脂侧链脂肪酸的GC-MS分析

用氯仿:甲醇(2:1)超声提取乌骨鸡总磷脂,丙酮脱油精制后,经皂化、甲酯化处理,应用GC-MS联用技术对其侧链脂肪酸组成进行分析,并以面积归一法,计算各脂肪酸的相对百分含量.结果显示,乌骨鸡总磷脂中含有硬脂酸27.46%、花生四烯酸21.39%、油酸18.22%、亚油酸16.67%、棕榈酸12.13%、二十二碳六烯酸(DHA) 2.26%、二十碳三烯酸1.71%、棕榈油酸0.16%.不饱和脂肪酸和多不饱和脂肪酸的含量分别为60.41%和42.03%.乌骨鸡磷脂侧链脂肪酸中高比例的多不饱和脂肪酸和花生四烯酸含量是乌骨鸡磷脂的显著特征.
