The densities and viscosities of several sulfates, viz., ammonium sulfate, sodium sulfate, potassium sulfate, magnesium sulfate, zinc sulfate and cadmium sulfate in aqueous binary mixtures of formamide (FA) have been determined at 298.15, 308.15, and 318.15 K and at atmospheric pressure. The ultrasonic speeds of the electrolytic solutions have also been measured at 298.15 K. Apparent molar volumes (ϕ V ), viscosity B-coefficients and adiabatic compressibilities (K S) of these electrolytic solutions were calculated from the experimental densitiy, viscosity and acoustic data. The density and viscosity data were evaluated by using Masson’s and Jones-Dole equation respectively; the derived parameters have been analyzed in terms of ion-ion and ion-solvent interactions. The structure making/breaking capacities of the electrolytes have been inferred from the sign of (∂2ϕ V 0/∂T 2) P . The results showed that all the electrolytes act as structure-makers in these media. Also the compressibility data indicated electrostriction of the solvent molecules around the cations. The activation parameters of viscous flow were also determined and discussed by the application of transition state theory.  相似文献

A Fe-TAML/H2O2 catalytic oxidation process achieves facile in-solution total degradation of fenitrothion and two other organophosphorus (OP) pesticides. Degradation products have been identified and quantified providing evidence for oxidative hydrolysis, oxidative desulfuration, perhydrolysis, and deep oxidation. Degradation pathways can be selected by pH control to completely obviate all toxic residuals. Aquatic toxicity assays support the environmental compatibility of the degradation process.  相似文献

We consider the sampling properties of U-statistics based on a sample of realization from a class of stationary nonlinear processes which include, in particular, linear, bilinear and finite order volterra processes. It is shown that if the size n of the realization tends to infinity then certain normalized versions of the U-statistics tend to be distributed normally with zero means and finite variances.  相似文献

Microporous polybenzimidazole of 250–500 μm spherical bead size from Celanese has been reacted with epichlorohydrin and sodium hydroxide and the resulting product with pendant epoxy groups has been reacted with various chelating ligands in order to augment the metal sorption capacity and selectivity of the resin. The chelating ligands used include ethylenediamine, diethylenetriamine, diethanolamine, dimethylglyoxime, L -cysteine, thiourea, dithiooxamide, glyoxal-bis-2-hydroxyanil, salicylaldehyde-ethylenediimine, and glyoxal-bis-2-mercaptoanil. The aminolysis of the pendant epoxy groups with the oligoamines has been performed in pyridine under reflux conditions, while the addition reactions with the other ligands which are alkali soluble have been carried out at room temperature in a mixture of dioxane and aqueous KOH using tetra-n-butylammonium iodide as the phase transfer catalyst. The products are found to possess high capacity and selectivity in metal sorption depending on the ligand attached.  相似文献

Amadori and Heyns reaction are landmark reactions of carbohydrate chemistry. Synthesis of simple Amadori and Heyns compounds are complicated by various factors and require tedious column chromatographic or ion chromatographic separations. Herein, we report an improved catalytic method based on classical synthetic method of Amadori and Heyns compounds in light of new understanding of a factor governing the reaction. By utilizing the improved catalytic method, we have accomplished several Amadori compounds of d-tagatose and also numerous other Amadori and Heyns compounds.  相似文献

In this study the electron transfer theory for the high frequency intramolecular mode and low frequency medium mode has been rederived using different methods. For a single-mode case when the reactant surface is not in a thermal equilibrium but in a thermocoherent state the authors have derived the rate and discussed about the quantum features of the rate. In the limit of very low and very high temperatures the expressions are derived analytically and compared with the case of thermal distribution. Secondly, a Franck-Condon factor for a multimode displaced, distorted, and Duschinsky rotated adiabatic potential surfaces has been derived to obtain the rate. Lastly, a systematic investigation is made to show the temperature dependence on the rate due to displacement, distortion, and Duschinsky rotation of the harmonic potential energy surfaces of the reactant and product manifold.  相似文献

Caesalpinia pulcherrima Swartz. is an ornamental plant, shrub or a small tree belonging to the family Caesalpiniaceae. The plant has been used for the treatment of inflammatory disorders, skin diseases and so on. In this study, the cytotoxicity of the methanol extract of the aerial parts of C. pulcherrima was tested using an Artemia salina (brine shrimp) bioassay. Further, the methanol extract was fractionated by silica gel column chromatography using a solvent gradient of hexane:ethyl acetate:methanol in different ratios and 56 fractions were collected. On the basis of thin layer chromatography profiles, 13 major fractions were obtained, which were tested for antimicrobial activity against 14 microorganisms using the agar disc diffusion method and also tested for their minimal inhibitory concentration and minimal bactericidal concentration values. In terms of cytotoxicity, the extract caused 26% mortality of brine shrimp larvae after 24?h at a concentration of 1000?μg?mL(-1). Fractions 3, 9 and 10 showed significant antimicrobial activities. Phytochemical analysis of these three fractions led to the identification of 11 compounds, and their structures were established by means of gas chromatography-mass spectroscopy techniques. These findings suggest that these bioactive compounds may be useful as potential antimicrobials. Further investigation is needed to establish the mode of action of these bioactive compounds.  相似文献

Abstract  

The Pictet–Spengler reaction, using polyethylene glycol immobilized tryptophan ester with a variety of ketones, was achieved by refluxing condition in acidic chloroform. The linear as well as cyclic ketones were employed. All the ketones were reacted within 6–8 h to furnish soluble polymer-supported tetrahydro-β-carboline in good yields. Further expansion at N-terminus of tetrahydro-β-carbolines was achieved through a reaction with chloroacetyl chloride. Finally, the 2,5-diketopiperazine skeleton was constructed over a β-carboline by amination of the resulting N-chloroacetamides and subsequent intramolecular cyclization leading to cleavage of the polymer; constitutes a traceless synthesis of tetracyclic molecular architecture. Significantly, this strategy affords a straightforward and efficient approach for the construction of biological promising molecules with high purity and good yields.  相似文献

The equations obtained by Yang while discussing the condition of self-duality of SU(2) gauge fields on Euclidean four-dimensional space have been generalized. Exact solutions and their graphical representations for the generalized equation (for some particular values of the parameters) have been reported. They represent interesting physical characteristics like waves with spreading solitary profile, spreading wave packets, waves with pulsating solitary profile (between zero and a maximum), waves with oscillatory solitary profile and chaos.   相似文献
