The positive-ion mass spectra of the following organonitrogen derivatives of metal carbonyls are discussed: (i) The compounds NC5H4CH2Fe(CO)2C5H5, NC5H4CH2COMo(CO)2C5H5, NC5H4CH2W(CO)3C5H5, NC5H4CH2COMn(CO)4, C5H10NCH2CH2Fe(CO)2C5H5, (CH3)2NCH2CH2COFeCOC5H5 and (CH3)2NCH2CH2COMn(CO)4 obtained from metal carbonyl anions and haloalkylamines, (ii) The isocyanate derivative C5H5Mo(CO)3CH2NCO; (iii) The arylazomolybdenum derivatives RN2Mo(CO)2C5H5 (R ? phenyl, p-tolyl, or p-anisyl); (iv) The compound (C6H5N)2COFe2(CO)6 obtained from Fe3(CO)12 and phenyl isocyanate; (v) The N,N,N′,N′-tetramethylethylenediamine complex (CH3)2NCH2CH2N(CH3)2W(CO)4. Further examples of eliminations of hydrogen, CO, and C2H2 fragments were noted. In addition evidence for the following more unusual processes was obtained: (i) Elimination of HCN fragments from the ions [NC5H4CH2MC5H5]+ to give the ions [(C5H5)2M]+ (M ? Fe, Mo and W); (ii) Conversion of C5H5Mo(CO)3CH2NCO to C5H5Mo(CO)2CH2NCO within the mass spectrometer; (iii) Elimination of N2 from [RN2MoC5H5]+ to give [RMoC5H5]+; (iv) Novel eliminations of HNCO, FeNCO, and C6H5NC fragments in the mass spectrum of (C6H5N)2COFe2(CO)6; (v) Facile dehydrogenation of the N,N,N′,-N′-tetramethylethylenediamine ligand in the complex (CH3)2NCH2CH2N(CH3)2W(CO)4.  相似文献

Cancer cells must survive aberrant fluid shear stress (FSS) in the circulation to metastasize. Herein, we investigate the role that FSS has on colorectal cancer cell apoptosis, proliferation, membrane damage, calcium influx, and therapeutic sensitization. We tested this using SW480 (primary tumor) and SW620 cells (lymph node metastasis) derived from the same patient. The cells were exposed to either shear pulses, modeling millisecond intervals of high FSS seen in regions of turbulent flow, or sustained shear to model average magnitudes experienced by circulating tumor cells. SW480 cells were significantly more sensitive to FSS-induced death than their metastatic counterparts. Shear pulses caused significant cell membrane damage, while constant shear decreased cell proliferation and increased the expression of CD133. To investigate the role of mechanosensitive ion channels, we treated cells with the Piezo1 agonist Yoda1, which increased intracellular calcium. Pretreatment with resveratrol further increased the calcium influx via the lipid-raft colocalization of Piezo1. However, minimal changes in apoptosis were observed due to calcium saturation, as predicted via a computational model of apoptosis. Furthermore, SW480 cells had increased levels of Piezo1, calcium influx, and TRAIL-mediated apoptosis compared to SW620 cells, highlighting differences in the mechano-activation of metastatic cells, which may be a necessary element for successful dissemination in vivo.  相似文献

Strong electron correlation plays an important role in transition-metal and heavy-metal chemistry, magnetic molecules, bond breaking, biradicals, excited states, and many functional materials, but it provides a significant challenge for modern electronic structure theory. The treatment of strongly correlated systems usually requires a multireference method to adequately describe spin densities and near-degeneracy correlation. However, quantitative computation of dynamic correlation with multireference wave functions is often difficult or impractical. Multiconfiguration pair-density functional theory (MC-PDFT) provides a way to blend multiconfiguration wave function theory and density functional theory to quantitatively treat both near-degeneracy correlation and dynamic correlation in strongly correlated systems; it is more affordable than multireference perturbation theory, multireference configuration interaction, or multireference coupled cluster theory and more accurate for many properties than Kohn–Sham density functional theory. This perspective article provides a brief introduction to strongly correlated systems and previously reviewed progress on MC-PDFT followed by a discussion of several recent developments and applications of MC-PDFT and related methods, including localized-active-space MC-PDFT, generalized active-space MC-PDFT, density-matrix-renormalization-group MC-PDFT, hybrid MC-PDFT, multistate MC-PDFT, spin–orbit coupling, analytic gradients, and dipole moments. We also review the more recently introduced multiconfiguration nonclassical-energy functional theory (MC-NEFT), which is like MC-PDFT but allows for other ingredients in the nonclassical-energy functional. We discuss two new kinds of MC-NEFT methods, namely multiconfiguration density coherence functional theory and machine-learned functionals.

This feature article overviews recent work on active spaces, matrix product reference states, treatment of quasidegeneracy, hybrid theory, density-coherence functionals, machine-learned functionals, spin–orbit coupling, gradients, and dipole moments.  相似文献

Small-angle X-ray scattering is shown to be an effective technique, complementary to mechanical and thermal methods, for the study of structural ordering in polyurethane elastomers. Wide variations in intensity were found for different sample compositions and are interpreted in terms of the degree of hard segment aggregation. The results support previous conclusions regarding the organization in these samples based on analysis by scanning thermal methods. The polyether polyurethanes studied showed a higher degree of organization than the equivalent polyesters, and longer urethane segments enhance the extent of domain structure. Studies of the temperature dependence of scattering strengthen the previous assignment of a transition at about 150°C to the disordering of domain structure.  相似文献
