A two-sided short-recurrence extended Krylov subspace method for nonsymmetric matrices and its relation to rational moment matching

The Lagrange interpolation problem on spaces of symmetric bivariate polynomials is considered to reduce the interpolation problem to problems of approximately half dimension. The Berzolari-Radon construction is adapted to these kinds of problems by considering nodes placed on symmetric lines or symmetric pairs of lines. A Newton formula for the symmetric interpolant using the Berzolari-Radon construction is proposed.     

Structural Basis for Copper–Oxygen Mediated C−H Bond Activation by the Formylglycine-Generating Enzyme

The formylglycine-generating enzyme (FGE) is a unique copper protein that catalyzes oxygen-dependent C−H activation. We describe 1.66 Å- and 1.28 Å-resolution crystal structures of FGE from Thermomonospora curvata in complex with either Ag^I or Cd^II providing definitive evidence for a high-affinity metal-binding site in this enzyme. The structures reveal a bis-cysteine linear coordination of the monovalent metal, and tetrahedral coordination of the bivalent metal. Similar coordination changes may occur in the active enzyme as a result of Cu^I/II redox cycling. Complexation of copper atoms by two cysteine residues is common among copper-trafficking proteins, but is unprecedented for redox-active copper enzymes or synthetic copper catalysts.     

Semiclassical matrix model for quantum chaotic transport with time-reversal symmetry

We show that the semiclassical approach to chaotic quantum transport in the presence of time-reversal symmetry can be described by a matrix model. In other words, we construct a matrix integral whose perturbative expansion satisfies the semiclassical diagrammatic rules for the calculation of transport statistics. One of the virtues of this approach is that it leads very naturally to the semiclassical derivation of universal predictions from random matrix theory.

Abstract

The synthesis of telechelic oligomers with phosphorated end groups was realized by redox catalysis telomerization reaction by addition of phosphorated telogens containing a trichloromethyl group on monomers with two non-conjugated double bonds.

Nous effectuons la synthèse d'oligoméres téléchéliques à extrémités phosphorées en additionnant au moyen de la réaction de télomerisation par catalyse Redox des télogènes phosphorés renfernant le groupement trichlorométhyle, sur des monomères à deux doubles liaisons non conjuguées.     

The Preparation,Characterization and Properties of Catalase Immobilized on Crosslinked Gellan

In the present paper, the reaction of chemical immobilization of catalase on a crosslinked macromolecular carrier of a polysaccharide structure (gellan) is studied. The influence of some reaction parameters (enzyme/carrier, activator/carrier ratios, duration) on the activity of enzymatic products is analyzed. The kinetics of the biocatalytic process, stability under different pH and temperature conditions, and the inhibitors effect were studied for the immobilized enzymes.
