The mutual intensity of the optical field in the Fraunhofer diffraction region produced from the end of an optical fibre under illumination of a coherent beam, is theoretically analysed by using an optical fibre-end source model. In this source model, the optical field at the end of the fibre is expressed as an aggregation of independent plane waves with random directions and phases, because the guided modes propagating through the fibre may be regarded as a stochastic process. It is found that the optical field in the diffraction region from the multimode optical fibre is not homogeneous butquasi homogeneous in a statistical sense. The spatial coherence properties in the field are discussed in connection with theV number (the normalized frequency) of the fibre and in comparison with those in the field produced from an incoherent source obeying the van Cittert-Zernike theorem.  相似文献

The pyrolysis of trimethylsilyl derivatives of saccharides (1) was investigated by DTA-TG, MS, GC/MS and TG-GC/MS. The DTA-TG/DTG curves showed that the pyrolysis of 1 occurred in one stage. The exothermic peaks were due to sublimation or thermal decomposition by vaporization. The cleavage mechanism by electron impact of 1 was classified into four categories: 1) stepwise elimination of the side-chain, 2) cleavage of the side-chain, 3) cleavage of the pyranose ring, and 4) cleavage of the pyranose ring and side-chain at the same time. The mass-spectrum for 1 revealed the main common four fragment ions, such asm/z 73, 191, 204 and 217, with cleavage of the pyranose ring. These fragment ions were detected with a similar retention time in the gas cromatogram by GC/MS or TG-GC/MS. The retention time for 1 increased in the sequence aldopentose相似文献

The chemical states of manganese(II) species in particulate substances in river water, with and without the influence of tannery effluents, were investigated by the use of electron paramagnetic resonance (e.p.r.) spectroscopy. In the e.p.r. spectra of the particulate substances in river water, the six-line signal characteristic of Mn(II) was distinctly observed. The relative intensity of the Mn(II) signal was found to be higher in the lower reaches of a river, and especially below tannery effluent inflows, suggesting that manganese in river water is reduced by natural and artificially added organic compounds. It is shown that the reduction of manganese in river sediments and manganese dioxide by tannery effluents can afford an insoluble Mn(II) species at pH 11 and a soluble Mn(II) species at pH 7.  相似文献

In topography measurements of a local ocular fundus of the human eye using a grating-pattern projection technique, a pre-processing method to detect fringes accurately and a generalized Fourier transform method to analyze the fringe deformations are proposed. The method of analysis compensates for fringe deformations caused by instrumental characteristics. By combining the two methods, depth information can be determined with high accuracy. It is shown that the topographic parameters of the optic disc and the fundus slopes in the rim area are obtained with good reproducibility.  相似文献

The critical power of the input pulse in which spontaneous Raman scattering is not seriously disturbed by stimulated Raman scattering in a fiber optic temperature sensor has been investigated experimentally and theoretically. The critical power determines the critical distance, which is nearly equal to the distance where optical time-domain reflectometry (OTDR) signal of the stimulated Raman scattering becomes maximum. From this fact, a new method to determine the critical input power with the OTDR system has been proposed, which may be applicable to most distributed fiber optic temperature sensors. It has been determined that the critical power of the input pulse is 4 watts for an infinitely long silica fiber.Presented at the International Commission of Optics Topical Meeting, Kyoto, 1994.  相似文献

Homogenized aliquots (100 g) of the liver (8.4 kg, 5 m?g As g?1) of a tiger shark (Galeocerdo cuvier) were extracted with chloroform/methanol, and the extracts purified by countercurrent extraction (hexane/87% ethanol), silica gel column chromatography (chloroform/methanol mixtures as mobile phases), and silica gel thin-layer chromatography (chloroform/methanol/acetic acid). The purified samples (24 mg arsenic g?1) gave no 31P NMR signal, but gave 1H and 13C NMR signals with similarities to those of dipalmitoylphosphatidic acid and salad on and also signals indicative of the presence of methylated arsenic compounds. The sample could contain a diacyl glyceride with a methylated arsenic group.  相似文献
