Immobilized polysaccharide-based chiral stationary phases (CSPs) are gaining importance in the resolution of racemic compounds due to their stable nature on working with normal solvents and those prohibited for use with coated phases (tetrahydrofuran, chloroform, dichloromethane, acetone, 1,4-dioxane, ethyl acetate, and certain other ethers). This review discusses the use of immobilized polysaccharide CSPs in the chiral resolution of various racemates by liquid chromatography. The discussion includes immobilization methodologies, enantioselectivities, efficiencies, and a comparison of chiral recognition capabilities of coated vs. immobilized CSPs. Some applications of immobilized CSPs to the chiral resolution of racemic compounds are also presented.  相似文献

The interaction of calix[3]thieno[1]pyrrole, 1, and halide and dihydrogen phosphate anions in a variety of solvents (acetonitrile, propylene carbonate, N,N-dimethylformamide, and dimethyl sulfoxide) has been investigated through 1H NMR, conductance measurements, and titration calorimetry. 1H NMR measurements reveal the sites of interaction of the ligand with the anions in CD3CN while the composition of the complex was determined through conductance measurements. A quantitative assessment of anion-ligand interactions is provided. Thus the thermodynamics of complexation of 1 with halide and dihydrogen phosphate anions in dipolar aprotic media at 298.15 K is reported. These data are interpreted in terms of the thermodynamics of transfer of reactants and product from a reference solvent (acetonitrile) to other solvents. The crucial role played by the solvent on the ability of the ligand to interact with anions and on the composition of the complex is demonstrated.  相似文献

Summary.  Ab initio calculations at the HF/6-31G* level of theory for geometry optimization and the MP2/6-31G*//HF/6-31G* level for a single point total energy calculation are reported for (Z,Z)-, (E,Z)-, and (E,E)-cycloocta-1,4-dienes. The C 2-symmetric twist-boat conformation of (Z,Z)-cycloocta-1,4-diene was calculated to be by 3.6 kJ·mol−1 more stable than the C S-symmetric boat-chair form; the calculated energy barrier for ring inversion of the twist-boat conformation via the C S-symmetric boat-boat geometry is 19.1 kJ·mol−1. Interconversion between twist-boat and boat-chair conformations takes place via a half-chair (C 1) transition state which is 43.5 kJ·mol−1 above the twist-boat form. The unsymmetrical twist-boat-chair conformation of (E,Z)-cycloocta-1,4-diene was calculated to be by 18.7 kJ·mol−1 more stable than the unsymmetrical boat-chair form. The calculated energy barrier for the interconversion of twist-boat-chair and boat-chair is 69.5 kJ·mol−1, whereas the barrier for swiveling of the trans-double bond through the bridge is 172.6 kJ·mol−1. The C S symmetric crown conformation of the parallel family of (E,E)-cycloocta-1,4-diene was calculated to be by 16.5 kJ·mol−1 more stable than the C S-symmetric boat-chair form. Interconversion of crown and boat-chair takes place via a chair (C S) transition state which is 37.2 kJ·mol−1 above the crown conformation. The axial- symmetrical twist geometry of the crossed family of (E,E)-cycloocta-1,4-diene is 5.9 kJ·mol−1 less stable than the crown conformation. Corresponding author. Electrospray ionization (ESI) and collisionally induced dissociation (CID) mass spectra were obtained for five tetracyclines and the corresponding compounds in which the labile hydrogens were replaced by deuterium by either gas phase or liquid phase exchange. The number of labile hydrogens, x, could easily be determined from a comparison of ESI spectra obtained with N2 and with ND3 as the nebulizer gas. CID mass spectra were obtained for [M + H]+ and [M - H]- ions and the exchanged analogs, [M(Dx) + D]+ and [M(Dx) - D]- , and produced by ESI using a Sciex API-III(plus) and a Finnigan LCQ ion trap mass spectrometer. Compositions of product ions and mechanisms of decomposition were determined by comparison of the MS(N) spectra of the un-deuterated and deuterated species. Protonated tetracyclines dissociate initially by loss of H2O (D2O) and NH3 (ND3) if there is a tertiary OH at C-6. The loss of H2O (D2O) is the lower energy process. Tetracyclines without the tertiary OH at C-6 lose only NH3 (ND3) initially. MSN experiments showed easily understandable losses of HDO, HN(CH3)2, CH3 - N=CH2, and CO from fragment ions. The major fragment ions do not come from cleavage reactions of the species protonated at the most basic site. Deprotonated tetracyclines had similar CID spectra, with less fragmentation than those observed for the protonated tetracyclines. The lowest energy decomposition paths for the deprotonated tetracyclines are the competitive loss of NH3 (ND3) or HNCO (DNCO). Product ions appear to be formed by charge remote decompositions of species de-protonated at the C-10 phenol.  相似文献

The synthesis, X-ray structure, and electrochemical and photophysical characterization of [Ru(phen)(2)dpq-n][PF(6)](2) (phen = phenanthroline, dpq-n = dipyridoquinoxaline-norbornene) are described. This complex contains a Ru(phen)(3)(2+) moiety in close conjugation with a norbornene unit and is the first example of a Ru(II) diimine complex capable of undergoing ring-opening metathesis polymerization. Luminescence studies of this complex showed an increase in quantum efficiency in polar solvents and in water. Preliminary ring-opening metathesis polymerization studies, carried out at low monomer-to-initiator ratio, showed the formation of an oligomeric mixture composed mainly of the dimer of this complex. This dimer exhibits photophysical and redox properties similar to those of the monomer, indicating that the Ru(phen)(3)(2+) moiety remains intact during the polymerization.  相似文献

(R)- and (S)-alpha-phenylethylamine (alpha-PEA: 7) have been used separately to resolve successfully a racemate 2-formyl-1,4-DHP derivative 4. The process was based on the difference of the solubility of both Schiff bases (6) since one of them crystallized out from the solution. These imines obtained by condensation of (R)-alpha-PEA (7) or (S)-alpha-PEA (7) with aldehyde (rac-4) were separated and analyzed by X-ray diffraction, and their exposition to an hydrochloric hydrolysis conditions led to the enantiopure (4R)-4 or (4S)-4 in excellent yields. Separate condensation of other chiral (8 and 13) and racemic (18) amino thiols as auxiliary with rac-4, (4S)-4, or (4R)-4 is accompanied by an in situ crystallization-induced dynamic resolution, whereby one distereomer of thiazole template selectively precipitates and can be isolated by simple filtration in 76-82% yield with dr > 99. The thiazole species isolated from this process resulted from an amino aldehyde condensation followed by a spontaneous thiol-imine cycloaddition. Finally, the racemate (+/-)-(4R,2'R)-19 and the diastereomerically pure homologous (4S,2'R)-23 and (4R,2'S)-20 (obtained in good yields (79-82%) from 2-aminoethanethiol (18) and 2-formyl-1,4-DHP derivative rac-4, (4S)-4, or (4R)-4, respectively) were converted conveniently in a one-pot procedure into newly tricyclic thiolactams in the DHP series in racemic ((+/-)-(6R,9bR)-21, 72% yield)) and enantiopure ((6S,9bR)-24, 71% yield); (6R,9bS)-24, 70% yield) forms.  相似文献

The regio- and stereoisomeric composition of the product mixture in the Diels–Alder reaction between dicyclopentadiene and bicyclononadiene is determined by 2D 1H–13C HMQC and HMBC and 1H 2D DQF COSY and NOESY NMR techniques. A novel technique called miniaturized homogeneous liquid–liquid extraction (MHLLE) followed by high performance liquid chromatographic-fluorescence detection (HPLC-FL) was developed for the extraction and determination of some polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) as model for analytical problem in sediment samples. The method is based on the rapid extraction of PAHs from a methanolic sample solution into 0.5 mL n-hexane, as a solvent of lower density than water. After addition of water, the extracting solvent immediately forms a distinct water-immiscible phase at the top of the vial, which can be easily separated, evaporated and re-dissolved in 25 μL of methanol and injected to the HPLC instrument. The parameters affecting the extraction process such as type and volume of organic extraction solvent, extraction time, and salt addition were investigated and the partition coefficient between methanol/water–n-hexane phases was evaluated and used to predict the extraction efficiency. Under optimal conditions, the limits of detection were estimated for the individual PAHs as 3Sb (three times of the standard deviation of baseline) of the measured chromatogram, are in the range of 0.003–0.04 ng g−1 for sediment samples. The relative recoveries of PAHs at spiking levels of 1.0 ng g−1 for sediment samples were in the range of 81–92%. The method was also applied to a corresponding standard references materials (IAEA-408) successfully. The proposed method is very fast, simple, and sensitive without any need for stirring and centrifugation.  相似文献
