Tissue optical clearing technique provides a prospective solution for the application of advanced optical methods in life sciences. This paper gives a review of recent developments in tissue optical clearing techniques. The physical, molecular and physiological mechanisms of tissue optical clearing are overviewed and discussed. Various methods for enhancing penetration of optical‐clearing agents into tissue, such as physical methods, chemical‐penetration enhancers and combination of physical and chemical methods are introduced. Combining the tissue optical clearing technique with advanced microscopy image or labeling technique, applications for 3D microstructure of whole tissues such as brain and central nervous system with unprecedented resolution are demonstrated. Moreover, the difference in diffusion and/or clearing ability of selected agents in healthy versus pathological tissues can provide a highly sensitive indicator of the tissue health/pathology condition. The stereoselective synthesis of piperidine alkaloids deoxymannojirimycin and d-mannolactam from d-serine has been achieved. A numerical method for sound propagation of higher-order cross-sectional modes in a duct of arbitrary cross-section and boundary conditions with nonzero, complex acoustic admittance has been considered. This method assumes that the cross-section of the duct is uniform and that the duct is of a considerable length so that the longitudinal modes can be neglected. The problem is reduced to a two-dimensional (2D) finite element (FE) solution, from which a set of cross-sectional eigen-values and eigen-functions are determined. This result is used to obtain the modal frequencies, velocities and the attenuation coefficients. The 2D FE solution is then extended to three-dimensional via the normal mode decomposition technique. The numerical solution is validated against experimental data for sound propagation in a pipe with inner walls partially covered by coarse sand or granulated rubber. The values of the eigen-frequencies calculated from the proposed numerical model are validated against those predicted by the standard analytical solution for both a circular and rectangular pipe with rigid walls. It is shown that the considered numerical method is useful for predicting the sound pressure distribution, attenuation, and eigen-frequencies in a duct with acoustically nonrigid boundary conditions. The purpose of this work is to pave the way for the development of an efficient inverse problem solution for the remote characterization of the acoustic boundary conditions in natural and artificial waveguides. 相似文献

Pulsed infrared (nu approximately 2350 cm(-1)) laser excitation spectra of CO2 molecules embedded in helium droplets are reported. The spectra exhibit a sharp R(0) rovibrational line accompanied by a weak broader (deltanu approximately 10 cm(-1)) satellite band, which is shifted by 14 cm(-1) towards higher frequencies. We assign this satellite band to a simultaneous rovibrational excitation of a molecule and its helium solvation shell. The results are rationalized within a model, which includes coupling of the rotational states of a molecule and a ring of He atoms. 相似文献

A nonlinear equation describing curved stationary flames with arbitrary gas expansion theta = rho(fuel)/rho(burnt) is obtained in a closed form without an assumption of weak nonlinearity. The equation respects all conservation laws and takes into account vorticity production in the flame. In the scope of the asymptotic expansion for theta -->1, the new equation solves the problem of stationary flame propagation with accuracy of the sixth order in theta - 1. We compute O(alpha(2)(s)) QCD corrections to the lepton invariant mass spectrum in the decay b-->ulnu(l), relevant for the determination of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix element /V(ub)/. Our method can also be used to evaluate moments of the lepton energy distribution with an O(alpha(2)(s)) accuracy. The Abelian part of our result gives the neutrino invariant mass spectrum in the muon decay and, upon integration, the O(alpha(2)) correction to the muon lifetime. 相似文献
