压力流驱动电色谱分析方法是一种新型色谱技术。它组合了ＨＰＬＣ和电泳两种技术，为分离提供了更多可控制的因素。介绍了压力流驱动电色谱的装置和毛细管电色谱柱的装置方法，从理论上讨论了影响电色谱分离的因素并用实验数据加以证明。最后尝试性地将电色谱法用于测定香蕉样品中萨索啉（Ｓａｌｓｏｌｉｎｏｌ）等的含量。     

Thio-sugars. IV. Synthesis of carbohydrate 1,3-glycol (six-membered) thionocarbonates and their attempted O-S rearrangement

Four six-membered cyclic thionocarbonates (two sec-sec and two prim-sec) were prepared and their radical-promoted O-S rearrangement reaction was examined. The results revealed that the reaction in six-membered rings is difficult compared with the simple rearrangement in five-membered rings. In the course of syntheses of the substrates, interesting acyl migration during the stannylation process occurred.     

Biosynthetic study of amphidinolide B

The biosynthetic origins of amphidinoide B (1) were investigated on the basis of 13C-NMR data of 13C-enriched samples obtained by feeding experiments with [1-(13)C], [2-(13)C], and [1,2-(13)C2] sodium acetates in cultures of a dinoflagellate Amphidinium sp. These incorporation patterns suggested that 1 was generated from three successive polyketide chains, an isolated C1 unit from C-2 of acetates, six branched C1 units from C-2 of acetates, and an "m-m" and an "m-m-m" unit derived only from C-2 of acetates. The labeling patterns of amphidinolide B (1) were different from those of amphidinolide H (2), a 26-membered macrolide closely related to 1.     

Dioxopyrrolines. LXII. Diels-Alder reaction of 1-Aryl-4- and 5-methoxycarbonyl-1H-pyrrole-2,3-diones with various 1,3-dienes

Two new dioxopyrrolines (1-aryl-4-methoxycarbonyl-1H-pyrrole-2,3-dione 6 and the 5-methoxycarbonyl isomer 8) behaved as good dienophiles to some kind of 1,3-dienes examined. In most cases, the products were explained by the reaction where the largest lobe of HOMO of dienes reacted to the larger LUMO of dienophiles in an expected cis-endo manner. However, in the reactions of 8 with alkylbutadienes, piperylene and isoprene, abnormality in the reaction was observed, which was well explained by taking account of steric factors.     

Estimation of electrophoretic mobilities of red blood cells in 1-G and microgravity using a miniature capillary electrophoresis unit

Electrophoretic mobilities of red blood cells (RBCs) were measured in microgravity using a home-made capillary electrophoresis unit, which consisted of two small reservoirs of 0.6 mL and a fused-silica capillary tubing with 2 cm in length and 50 num in inner diameter. Migration of RBCs was observed by a microscope at 1000 times magnification and recorded on a videotape. The experiments were performed during stays in microgravity (about 0.01 G), which lasted 20 s and were attained by parabolic flights of an aircraft. On average, the electrophoretic mobilities of RBCs determined in microgravity were about 30% higher than those measured at 1-G condition irrespectively whether the cells were suspended in saline or serum during measurements. This difference might be explained as being mainly due to the cell floating in microgravity. Morphological changes of RBCs may contribute partly to the difference, while the variation in viscosity of the medium under microgravity could play only a minor role.     

Study of flow rate in pressurized gradient capillary electrochromatography using splitter and separation of peptides using an Amide stationary phase

A pressurized gradient capillary electrochromatograph using a splitter was constructed. The variation in flow rate during gradient elution was investigated and separations of peptides using an Amide stationary phase were demonstrated. The flow rate, which is one of the important factors to control chromatographic behavior, was increased during the gradient elution, and the mismatching of mobile phase between the column and the resistance tubing derived three variation patterns in the flow rate. The electrophoretic migration in electrochromatography could enhance in separation of peptides. The separated peak number of tryptic digest of bovine serum albumin was increased from 30 to 40 by the application of +5 kV.     

Design and synthesis of novel type somatostatin analogs with antiproliferative activities on A431 tumor cells

It was reported that the somatostatin analog TT-232, d-Phe-c(Cys-Tyr-d-Trp-Lys-Cys)-Thr-NH₂, exhibited a highly potent antitumor activity in vitro and in vivo. Using pyrazinone analogs and aliphatic amino acids instead of the disulfide bond, we prepared novel type somatostatin analogs including the sequence essential for antitumor activities, Tyr-d-Trp-Lys. These analogs exhibited antiproliferative effect on A431 tumor cells.
