The calculated result obtained with MM2(87) for the rotation of the isopropyl group in 3-methyl-1-butene is not in agreement with experimental data. In order to reparametrize the Csp2-Csp3-Csp-Csp3 torsional angle, 3-methyl-1-butene and 1-butene have been studied by molecular mechanics (MM2(87)) and ab initio (MP2/6-31G* and MP3/6-31G*) calculations. The reparametrization of the torsional angle gives calculated results from MM2(87) in agreement with experimental data and ab initio calculations for both 3-methyl-1-butene and 1-butene. The calculated barriers for the rotation of alkyl groups in alkylbenzenes are improved with these new parameters. 相似文献

2′-Deoxy-5-(isothiazol-5-yl)uridine ( 12 ) was synthesized starting from 2′-deoxy-5-iodouridine using a Pd-catalysed cross-coupling reaction with propiolaldehyde diethyl acetal followed by deprotection and ring closure using thiosulfate. 2′-Deoxyuridine 12 has a particular place among the 5-heteroaryl-substituted 2′-deoxyuridines in that it has a high affinity for herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1)-encoded thymidine kinase (TK) without antiviral activity. Biochemical studies revealed that 12 is a substrate for viral TK. We further investigated the interaction of 12 with the HSV-1 thymidine kinase. The conformation of 12 in solution was established by NMR spectroscopy. The most stable conformer 12A has the S-atom of the isothiazole ring placed in the neighbourhood of the C(4)?O group of the pyrimidine moiety. The compound was docked in its most stable conformation in the active site of HSV-1 TK and subjected to energy minimization. This demonstrated that the isothiazole moiety binds in a cavity lined by the side chains of Tyr-132, Arg-163, Ala-167, and Ala-168 and that the C(3) atom of the isothiazole moiety is located in close proximity of the phenolic O-atom of Tyr-132 and the aliphatic part of the Arg-163 side chain. 相似文献

The reduction of chromium, nickel, and manganese oxides by hydrogen, CO, CH4, and model syngas (mixtures of CO + H2 or H2 + CO + CO2) and oxidation by water vapor has been studied from the thermodynamic and chemical equilibrium point of view. Attention was
concentrated not only on the convenient conditions for reduction of the relevant oxides to metals or lower oxides at temperatures
in the range 400–1000 K, but also on the possible formation of soot, carbides, and carbonates as precursors for the carbon
monoxide and carbon dioxide formation in the steam oxidation step. Reduction of very stable Cr2O3 to metallic Cr by hydrogen or CO at temperatures of 400–1000 K is thermodynamically excluded. Reduction of nickel oxide (NiO)
and manganese oxide (Mn3O4) by hydrogen or CO at such temperatures is feasible. The oxidation of MnO and Ni by steam and simultaneous production of
hydrogen at temperatures between 400 and 1000 K is a difficult step from the thermodynamics viewpoint. Assuming the Ni—NiO
system, the formation of nickel aluminum spinel could be used to increase the equilibrium hydrogen yield, thus, enabling the
hydrogen production via looping redox process. The equilibrium hydrogen yield under the conditions of steam oxidation of the Ni—NiO system is, however,
substantially lower than that for the Fe—Fe3O4 system. The system comprising nickel ferrite seems to be unsuitable for cyclic redox processes. Under strongly reducing conditions,
at high CO concentrations/partial pressures, formation of nickel carbide (Ni3C) is thermodynamically favored. Pressurized conditions during the reduction step with CO/CO2 containing gases enhance the formation of soot and carbon-containing compounds such as carbides and/or carbonates. 相似文献

A carbazole homopolymer and carbazole copolymers based on 9,9'-dialkyl-[3,3']-bicarbazolyl, 2,5-diphenyl-[1,3,4]-oxadiazole and 9,9-bis(4-[3,7-dimethyloctyloxy]phenyl)fluorene were synthesized and their electrical and photophysical properties were characterized with respect to their application as host in phosphorescent polymer light-emitting diodes. It is shown that the triplet energy of a polymer depends on the specific connections between its building blocks. Without changing the composition of the polymer, its triplet energy can be increased from 2.3 to 2.6 eV by changing the way in which the different building blocks are coupled together. For poly(9-vinylcarbazole) (PVK), a carbazole polymer often used as host for high-energy triplet emitters in polymer light-emitting diodes, a large hole-injection barrier of about 1 eV exists due to the low-lying HOMO level of PVK. For all carbazole polymers presented here, the HOMO levels are much closer to the Fermi level of a commonly used anode such as ITO and/or a commonly used hole-injection layer such as PEDOT:PSS. This makes high current densities and consequently high luminance levels possible at moderate applied voltages in polymer light-emitting diodes. A double-layer polymer light-emitting diode is constructed comprising a PEDOT:PSS layer as hole-injection layer and a carbazole-oxadiazole copolymer doped with a green triplet emitter as emissive layer that shows an efficacy of 23 cd/A independent of current density and light output. 相似文献

Differential scanning calorimetry and dc conductivity measurements were used to study structural relaxation of Se70Te30 glass. A single set of Tool-Narayanaswamy-Moynihan (TNM) parameters was obtained from the curve-fitting procedure. The value of apparent activation energy Δh∗ was further confirmed by two non-fitting techniques. The X-ray structure of a partly self-complementary peptide nucleic acid (PNA) decamer (H-GTAGATCACT-l-Lys-NH(2)) to 2.60 A resolution is reported. The structure is mainly controlled by the canonical Watson-Crick base pairs formed by the self-complementary stretch of four bases in the middle of the decamer (G(4)A(5)T(6)C(7)). One right- and one left-handed Watson-Crick duplex are formed. The two PNA units C(9)T(10) change helical handedness, so that each PNA strand contains both a right- and a left-handed section. The changed handedness in C(9)T(10) allows formation of Hoogsteen hydrogen bonding between C(9)T(10) and G(4)A(5) of a PNA strand in an adjacent Watson-Crick double helix of the same handedness. Thereby, a PNA-PNA-PNA triplex is formed. The PNA unit A(3) forms a noncanonical base pair with A(8) in a symmetry-related strand of opposite handedness; the base pair is of the A-A reverse Hoogsteen type. The structural diversity of this PNA demonstrates how the PNA backbone is able to adapt to structures governed by the stacking and hydrogen-bonding interactions between the nucleobases. The crystal structure further shows how PNA oligomers containing limited sequence complementarity may form complex hydrogen-bonding networks. 相似文献

The reaction between metallic Ag and PbS1.18(TiS2)n, n=1, 2, misfit layer compounds has been investigated by electrochemical technique, X-ray powder analysis and transmission electron microscopy. It was found that silver intercalation is possible only in the compound with n=2. The thermodynamic behavior and location of phase boundaries were studied in the temperature range 400–650 K. DC-conductivity and magnetic-susceptibility measurements were performed, and the data can be interpreted as an appearance of small polarons during silver insertion. 相似文献
