LiNi1 ? y Ti y O2 (0.000 ≤ y ≤ 0.100) and LiNi0.990M0.010O2 (M = Zn, Al, and Ti) were synthesized by the combustion method. The effects of Zn, Al and Ti substitution for Ni of LiNiO2 on the electrochemical properties of LiNiO2 were investigated. LiNi0.995Ti0.005O2 has the largest first discharge capacity (188.1 mA h/g) among the Ti-substituted samples. LiNi0.990Ti0.010O2 has a relatively large first discharge capacity (185.5 mA h/g) and a relatively good cycling performance. Among LiNi0.990M0.010O2 (M = Ni, Zn, Al, and Ti), LiNiO2 has the largest discharge capacities at a rate of 0.1 C from n = 1(189.3 mA h/g) to n = 10. LiNi0.990Al0.010O2 has the lowest discharge capacities from n = 1 to n = 10, but it has the best cycling performance. LiNi0.990Zn0.010O2 showed poor crystallinity, LiNi0.990Ti0.010O2 showed high cation mixing, and LiNi0.990Al0.010O2 had good crystallinity and showed low cation mixing. Fewer occurrence of phase transitions and the least change of the ?dx/|dV| vs. voltage curve at the second cycle from the curve at the first cycle of LiNi0.990Al0.010O2 suggest that Al substitution stabilizes the structure and leads to a good cycling performance.  相似文献

An arginine‐leucine block copolypeptide (R60L20) is synthesized, which is capable of forming vesicles with controllable sizes, able to transport hydrophilic cargo across the cell membrane, and exhibit relatively low cytotoxicity. The R60L20 vesicles also possess the ability to deliver DNA into mammalian cells for transfection. Although the transfection efficiency is lower than that of the commercially available transfection agent Lipofectamine 2000, the R60L20 vesicles are able to achieve transfection with significantly lower cytotoxicity and immunogenicity. This behavior is potentially due to its stronger interaction with DNA which subsequently provides better protection against anionic heparin.

Two kinds of topical dosage forms of hinokitiol (HKL), namely vesicles and oil‐in‐water (O/W) emulsions, were prepared. Behenyl trimethylammonium chloride (BTMAC) and fatty acids were used as bilayer‐forming materials of the vesicles, and oils were employed as oil phases of the emulsions. The substantivity of HKL in the preparations was evaluated in vitro using hairless mouse skins. After applying the preparations onto the skin and rinsing it, the amount of HKL left on the skin was determined using high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). It was higher when HKL was encapsulated in cationic vesicles rather than in nonionic vehicles, emulsions. An ionic interaction between the cationic vehicle and negatively charged skin is likely to account for the high substantivity. Among the emulsion preparations, an emulsion having octyl salicylate as oil phase exhibited the highest substantivity of HKL. This is probably because that the oil is a good solvent for HKL and it is skin‐retentive. In vivo hair growth‐promotion effect of each dosage form was investigated, where the sample application onto the clipped backs of female mice (C57BL6) and the subsequent rinsing of the backs were done once a day for 30 days. Only HKL in the cationic vesicles had hair growth promotion effect, possibly due to the significant substantivity.  相似文献

A new triazatruxene‐based fluorescent glycocluster has been designed, synthesized, and fully characterized by NMR spectroscopy and mass spectrometry. Furthermore, its specific and selective binding properties with concanavalin A (Con A) have been investigated by fluorescence spectroscopy, circular dichroism (CD) spectroscopy, and turbidity assay. The obtained results showed that the multivalent mannose‐modified triazatruxene exhibited specific binding with Con A, but no binding to peanut agglutinin (PNA) lectin or bovine serum albumin (BSA), corresponding to a two‐orders‐of‐magnitude higher affinity than that of monovalent mannose ligands. Most interestingly, a fluorescence enhancement of the triazatruxene‐based glycocluster was observed upon binding with Con A because of hydrophobic interactions involving sites close to the triazatruxene moiety. Furthermore, the inhibitory ability of the triazatruxene‐based glycocluster against ORN178‐ induced haemagglutination has been investigated by haemagglutination inhibition assay. In two-dimensional electrides, anionic electrons are spatially confined in interlayer regions with high density, comparable to metals, and they are highly mobile, just as free electrons, resembling hyperbolic metamaterials with metal-dielectric multilayered structures. In this work, two-dimensional electride materials MgONa and CaONa are proposed as good natural hyperbolic materials. By using the first-principles calculations based on density functional theory (DFT), the electronic structures, stabilities, and optical properties of two-dimensional electride materials XONa (X=Mg, Ca) are investigated. Our results show that they are stable in 1-monolayer (1-ML) structures as well as in bulk states. They exhibit hyperbolic dispersions from visible to near infrared spectral range with high qualities up to about 700, which is two orders-of-magnitude larger than the preceding bulk hyperbolic materials. Numerical results reveal that they exhibit negative refraction with low losses. Their high-quality hyperbolic responses over a wide spectral range pave the way of broad photonic applications as natural hyperbolic materials.  相似文献

Noninvasive monitoring of vascularization can potentially diagnose impaired bone healing earlier than current radiographic methods. In this study, a noncontact diffuse correlation tomography (DCT) technique was employed to measure longitudinal blood flow changes during bone healing in a murine femoral fracture model. The three-dimensional distribution of the relative blood flow was quantified from one day pre-fracture to 48 days post-fracture. For three mice, frequent DCT measurements were performed every other day for one week after fracture, and then weekly thereafter. A decrease in blood flow was observed in the bone fracture region at one day post-fracture, followed by a monotonic increase in blood flow beyond the pre-injury baseline until five to seven days post-fracture. For the remaining 12 mice, only weekly DCT measurements were performed. Data collected on a weekly basis show the blood flow for most mice was elevated above baseline during the first two post-fracture weeks, followed by a subsequent decrease. Torsional strength of the excised femurs was measured for all 15 mice after 7 weeks of healing. A metric based on the early blood flow changes shows a statistically significant difference between the high strength group and the low strength group.  相似文献
