Two new types of optically active BODIPY fluorophores bearing chiral phenyl substituents either at the meso-position or at both external alpha-positions have been synthesized. Their chiroptical properties are strongly dependent both on the position of the chiral group and on the protonation of the chromophore. The solid-state structures of one of the difluoroboryl chelates bearing the chiral phenyl substituent at the meso-position (9a) as well as of the corresponding ligand (8a) and its perchlorate have been determined by X-ray diffraction analysis. These are, to the best of our knowledge, the first crystal structures of a dipyrrin free base and of a dipyrrin salt which have been obtained by X-ray diffraction analysis. Hence, for the first time, the helical structure of a protonated dipyrrin chromophore has been proved experimentally. 相似文献

The rotational spectra of six isotopomers of the linear and bent isomers of HF-N2O have been collected in the 7-18 GHz region with a Fourier transform microwave spectrometer. The nuclear hyperfine structure in the spectra produced by HF spin-spin coupling interaction and nuclear quadrupole coupling interactions due to the D nucleus of DF and the nuclei of N2O have been resolved and analyzed. In the linear isomer, H in HF is bonded to the terminal N in N2O. The NF bond lengths are 2.9808(2) Å for the HF-containing isotopomers and 2.9732(2) Å for the DF-containing isotopomers. The zero point angles are 23.1° for HF and 31-34° for N2O. The hyperfine constants suggest that the HF bond is lengthened by 0.0105 Å upon complexation and that the electric field gradients of the two nitrogen nuclei in N2O are perturbed differently in the complex. In the bent isomer, the hydrogen bond is formed between HF and O in N2O. The intermolecular distances are 3.4942(2) Å for the HF-containing isotopomers and 3.4436(2) Å for the DF-containing isotopomers, with HF and N2O forming angles of 34° and 46°, respectively, with the intermolecular axis. The nuclear quadrupole coupling constants of the two nitrogen nuclei do not indicate electric field gradient perturbation in this isomer. 相似文献

High mass accuracy electrospray ionisation multistage tandem mass spectrometry (MS(n)) was applied to metabolite profiling studies on plasma samples derived from two strains of rat (the Zucker (fa/fa) obese strain and the normal wild type). Using a quadrupole ion trap time-of-flight (QIT-TOF) mass spectrometer, metabolite profiling software was applied to locate components of biological significance that could account for the differences between the two strains of rat and a formula prediction software tool was used to help identify individual components. The primary factor discriminating between the two populations was the concentration of endogenous lipids. In the Zucker (fa/fa) obese strain, the dominant ion signals and MS(n) spectra were in agreement with lysoglycerophosphocholine components such as palmitoyllysophosphatidylcholine, 1-oleoylglycerophosphocholine, 1-octadecyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine and 1-stearoylglycerophosphocholine and these were found in relatively higher concentrations compared to the normal wild type. Components were identified using high mass accuracy MS(n) data, formula prediction software and by agreement with published mass spectra through internet databases, rather than using a conventional approach with authentic standards. This application shows that the use of high mass accuracy electrospray ionisation MS(n) together with a software tool can be used effectively to detect and characterise unknown analytes in complex matrices, and represents a promising approach for future profiling studies. 相似文献

The effect of the presequence peptide of cytochrome c oxidase subunit IV (p25) on supported phospholipid bilayers (SPBs) was visualized using atomic force microscopy (AFM). The presequence was found to cause the complete disruption of supported bilayers containing neutral lipids. At relatively low concentrations of presequence, the peptide was found to bind to the membrane, coalescing to form microdomains within the liquid-crystalline bilayer that were located predominantly at bilayer-mica boundaries. Further increases in peptide concentration resulted in the formation of holes within the SPB that were spanned by an interpenetrating network of narrower regions of the bilayer, which, at higher applied peptide concentrations, were observed to disappear through a budding process, ultimately leading to the formation of spherical structures at yet higher peptide concentrations. Within this paper, the impact the presequence has upon the structure and order of the membrane is discussed, as is the potential implication of this apparent solubilization process on the translocation of cytochrome c oxidase into the inner mitochondrial membrane. 相似文献
