The cloud point temperature, T(c), was investigated for aqueous solutions of poly(oxyethylene) alkyl ethers, C(n)E(m), and their mixtures. The experimental T(c)'s for single surfactant systems were analyzed according to the Flory-Huggins model for cloud point phenomenon, and the enthalpy and the entropy changes associated with the process of the separation of micellar solution into pure water and pure surfactant were estimated. It was found that the enthalpy-entropy compensation relationship holds for this process. The Flory-Huggins model was extended to the binary surfactant mixtures, and the expression of T(c) as a function of the composition was derived assuming the regular solution for mixed micelles. The experimental results of T(c) obtained for mixtures of C(n)E(m) were well reproduced by the model calculation. Discussion is given concerning the interaction parameters of different surfactant species in mixed micelles determined by this model calculation.  相似文献

Anti-rheumatoid arthritis (RA) effects of α-tocopherol (α-T) have been shown in human patients in a double-blind trial. However, the effects of α-T and its derivatives on fibroblast-like synoviocytes (FLS) during the pathogenesis of RA remain unclear. In the present study, we compared the expression levels of genes related to RA progression in FLS treated with α-T, succinic ester of α-T (TS), and phosphate ester of α-T (TP), as determined via RT-PCR. The mRNA levels of interleukin (IL)-6, tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), matrix metalloproteinase (MMP)-3, and MMP-13 were reduced by treatment with TP without cytotoxicity, while α-T and TS did not show such effects. Furthermore, intraperitoneal injection of TP ameliorated the edema of the foot and joint and improved the arthritis score in laminarin-induced RA model mice. Therefore, TP exerted anti-RA effects through by inhibiting RA-related gene expression.  相似文献

In investment decision-making, the net present value method is widely used as one of the best decision rules (techniques or criteria). At the same time, it is also used to evaluate decision alternatives for a long range period of time, in economics or even in control theory. Its theoretical validation as the best method for investment decision-making has been based on a basis such that the best technique (investment decision rule) will maximize shareholders' wealth which is measured by the present value of cash flows discounted at the opportunity cost of capital. Such a theoretical requirement as maximizing shareholders' wealth is very important for investment decision-makings. This requirement implies that an ordering relation of projects determined by the best investment rule must be order-isomorphic to that determined by the measure of shareholders' wealth. This order-isomorphism can be represented by necessary and sufficient conditions (or separate criteria). However, they are not suitable for comparing investment decision rules, because they are designed for selecting the best investment decision rule. At the same time, the other dominance of the net present value method over other investment rules is also found in its decision-theoretical aspects. Formulating the net present value method, internal rate of return method and simple sum method in an axiomatic fashion, the net present value method is compared with the other rules, and is shown to have enough clarity and simplicity in theory and practice.  相似文献

Four new alkaloids, daphnezomines P-S (1-4), have been isolated from the fruits of Daphniphyllum humile, and the structures and the stereochemistry were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic data including 2D NMR and MS/MS spectra, and chemical correlations. We study the porous medium equation with emphasis on q-Gaussian measures, which are generalizations of Gaussian measures by using power-law distribution. On the space of q-Gaussian measures, the porous medium equation is reduced to an ordinary differential equation for covariance matrix. We introduce a set of inequalities among functionals which gauge the difference between pairs of probability measures and are useful in the analysis of the porous medium equation. We show that any q-Gaussian measure provides a nontrivial pair attaining equality in these inequalities.  相似文献

The capabilities of National Metrology Institutes (NMIs—those which are members of the Comité Consultatif pour la Quantité de Matière (CCQM)of the CIPM) and selected outside "expert" laboratories to quantitate (C4H9)3Sn+ (TBT) in a prepared marine sediment were assessed. This exercise was sanctioned by the 7th CCQM meeting, April 4–6, 2001, as an activity of the Inorganic Analysis Working Group and was jointly piloted by the Institute for National Measurement Standards of the National Research Council of Canada (NRC) and the Laboratory of the Government Chemist (LGC), UK. A total of 11 laboratories submitted results (7 NMIs, and 4 external labs). Two external laboratories utilized a standard calibration approach based on a natural abundance TBT standard, whereas all NMIs relied upon isotope dilution mass spectrometry for quantitation. For this purpose, a species specific 117Sn-enriched TBT standard was supplied by the LGC. No sample preparation methodology was prescribed by the piloting laboratories and, by consequence, a variety of approaches was adopted by the participants, including mechanical shaking, sonication, accelerated solvent extraction, microwave assisted extraction and heating in combination with Grignard derivatization, ethylation and direct sampling. Detection techniques included ICP–MS (with GC and HPLC sample introduction), GC–MS, GC–AED and GC–FPD. Recovery of TBT from a control standard (NRCC CRM PACS-2 marine sediment) averaged 93.5±2.4% (n=14). Results for the pilot material averaged 0.680±0.015 µmol kg–1 (n=14; 80.7±1.8 µg kg–1) with a median value of 0.676 µmol kg–1. Overall, performance was substantially better than state-of-the-art expectations and the satisfactory agreement amongst participants permitted scheduling of a follow-up Key comparison for TBT (K-28), a Pilot intercomparison for DBT (P-43), and certification of the test sediment for TBT content and its release as a new Certified Reference Material (HIPA-1) with a TBT content of 0.679±0.089 µmol kg–1 (expanded uncertainty, k=2, as Sn) (80.5±10.6 µg kg–1).Electronic Supplementary Material Supplementary material is available in the online version of this article at .  相似文献

We have investigated the high-pressure water (H2O) vapor treatment for poly-crystalline Ge (poly-Ge) thin films, which were prepared by solid phase crystallization. The optical-absorption coefficients of poly-Ge were reduced by the treatment, suggesting that the grain-boundary defects were successfully passivated. But the poly-Ge films were sometimes damaged by the treatment in higher pressure and temperature. Compromised conditions should be pursued between the effective passivation and avoiding the damage. The rapid cooling after the treatment promotes defect passivation but causes structural distortion. The results show that the high-pressure H2O vapor treatment is an effective method for the defect passivation of poly-Ge films.  相似文献

The conditions necessary for the complete decomposition of six organic arsenic compounds, namely methylarsonic acid (MMAA), dimethylarsinic acid (DMAA), trimethylarsine oxide, tetramethylarsonium iodide, arsenocholine bromide (AsC) and arsenobetaine (AB), were investigated. The degree of decomposition of the arsenic compounds was monitored using a hydride generation (HYD) technique, because the response from this system depends strongly on the chemical species of arsenic, with inorganic arsenic (the expected product from these decomposition experiments) giving a much more intense HYD signal than the organic arsenic compounds. The arsenic compounds were decomposed by heating them with three types of acid mixture, namely HNO3? HClO4, HNO3? HClO4? HF, or HNO3? HClO4? H2SO4. Both MMAA and DMAA were decomposed completely using any of the mixed acids at a decomposition temperature of 200 °C or higher. The HNO3? HClO4? H2SO4 mixture was the most effective for decomposing AsC and AB, which are the most difficult compounds among all types of organic arsenic compound to decompose and render inorganic. The complete decomposition of AB was only achieved, however, when the temperature was 320 °C or higher, and the sample was evaporated to dryness. When the residue from this treatment was examined by high‐performance liquid chromatography combined with inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry, all of the arsenic was found to be present as arsenic(V). The optimized conditions (HNO3? HClO4? H2SO4 at 320 °C) for decomposing AB were then used to determine the total amount of arsenic in marine organisms known to contain AB. Measurements of the refractive index (RI) and elemental analysis using synchrotron radiation X-ray fluorescence spectrometry (SR-XRF) were applied to the forensic discrimination of sheet-glass samples from different origins. The refractive index was calculated from the matching temperature at which the glass fragments became invisible in silicone oil. Fragments smaller than 1 mm in maximum diameter were taken from each of 11 sheet glasses and subjected to analysis by SR-XRF. The XRF spectrum of these samples indicated that a comparison of 6 elements (Ca, Fe, Sr, Zr, Ba and Ce) was useful for the discrimination of sheet glasses. Cluster analysis was performed using 33 sets of SR-XRF data obtained by triplicate measurements for the 11 glasses. Comparing 528 pairs among 33 samples, 515 pairs could be correctly discriminated. The number of indistinguishable pairs could be reduced from 36 to 4 by comparing the SR-XRF data. Elemental analysis by SR-XRF could provide small glass fragments with a more evidential value than the solely measurement of only RI, through a significant improvement of the discrimination capability.  相似文献
