In this paper, the electrical conductivity and relaxation studies in two different temperature regions (T?<?T m and T?>?T m) on plasticized PEO–PMMA blend polymer electrolyte system with AgNO3 salt are reported. The polymer electrolyte system has been prepared by solution cast technique and characterized by X-ray diffraction and differential scanning calorimetry. The conduction and relaxation processes at various temperatures have been investigated in the framework of modulus formalism. The distribution of relaxation times is discussed using Argand plot. Variation in ionic conductivity of polymer blends is discussed with the increase of PEO as well as with temperature.  相似文献

The instability of the plane interface between two uniform, superposed, electrically conducting and counter-streaming fluids through a porous medium is considered in the presence of a horizontal magnetic field. In the absence of surface tension, perturbations transverse to the direction of streaming are found to be unaffected by the presence of streaming if perturbations in the direction of streaming are ignored. For perturbations in all other directions there exists instability for a certain wavenumber range. The instability of this system is postponed by the presence of magnetic field. The magnetic field and surface tension are able to suppress this Kelvin-Helmholtz instability for small wavelength perturbations and the medium porosity reduces the stability range given in terms of a difference between the streaming velocities and the Alfvén velocity.This research forms a part of the research project awarded to the first author (R.C.S.) by the University Grants Commission.  相似文献

Kinetic study has been performed to understand the reactivity of novel cationic gemini surfactants viz. alkanediyl‐α,ω‐bis(hydroxyethylmethylhexadecylammonium bromide) C16‐s‐C16 MEA, 2Br? (where s = 4, 6) in the cleavage of p‐nitrophenyl benzoate (PNPB). Novel cationic gemini C16‐s‐C16 MEA, 2Br? surfactants are efficient in promoting PNPB cleavage in presence of butane 2,3‐dione monoximate and N‐phenylbenzohydroxamate ions. Model calculation revealed that the higher catalytic effect of ethanol moiety of gemini surfactants (C16H33N+ C2H4OH CH3 (CH2)S N+ C2H4OH CH3C16H33, 2Br?, s = 4, 6) is due to their higher binding capacity toward substrate. This is in line with finding that binding constants for novel series of cationic gemini surfactants are higher than conventional cationic gemini (C16H33N+(CH3)2(CH2)SN+(CH3)2C16H33, 2Br?, s = 10, 12), cetyldimethylethanolammonium bromide and zwitterionic surfactants, i.e. CnH2n+1N+Me2 (CH2)3 SO3? Kinetic studies of the reactions of tertiary oximes (monoisonitroso acetone; MINA and butane 2,3 dione monooxime; BDMO) with some carboxylate (p‐nitrophenyl acetate and p‐nitrophenyl benzoate), phosphate (p‐nitrophenyl diphenyl phosphate and bis (2,4‐dinitrophenyl) phosphate) and sulfonate (p‐nitrophenyl p‐toluene sulphonate) esters in gemini surfactants have been conducted. The observed first‐order rate constant versus surfactant profiles show micelle‐assisted bimolecular reactions involving interfacial ion exchange between bulk aqueous media and micellar pseudophase. Experimental results showed that MINA exhibited better nucleophilic activity towards ester cleavage than BDMO. The structural, electronic and magnetic properties of small gallium clusters doped with Cobalt have been studied using spin-polarised density functional theory. The binding energy per atom, second-order differences of total energies and fragmentation energies of equilibrium geometries of the host Gan+1 and doped GanCo (n = 1–12) clusters are computed. Doped clusters are found to be more stable than pure Ga clusters; Ga3Co, Ga5Co and Ga8Co clusters are exceptionally stable. Doping with Co changes the highest occupied molecular orbital-lowest unoccupied molecular orbital (HOMO–LUMO) gap, and also affects the magnetic moments of clusters.  相似文献

We consider the possible physical processes that may arise in a three-level atom when only two of its levels interact with a strong electromagnetic field and when the atomic transition frequency is nearly equal to once and twice the frequency of the laser field, respectively. There have been found pronounced cooperative effects in the spectrum of the two-level system, which is in resonance with the laser field, arising from the presence of the third level. The excitation spectra describing the transitions from the first excited state into the second excited state and from that to the ground state consist, apart from the two central peaks, of two pairs of sidebands which are induced by the laser field of the neighbouring system. Detailed expressions of the spectral functions for the physical processes of one- and two-photon resonance fluorescence have been derived and discussed in the limit of high photon densities. The excitation spectrum of the low frequency modes has been considered and discussed in detail. It is found that quantum beats in spontaneous emission may appear in the spectra of the one- and two-photon resonance fluorescence arising from the interference between the two atomic transition frequencies and the frequency of the laser field. The importance of the low frequency modes that occur in the processes in question has been pointed out.  相似文献

The consequences of 50 MeV Li3+ ion irradiation (fluence: 5×1013 ions/cm2) on the structural and electrical properties of the Y3+xFe5?xO12 (x=0.0, 0.2, 0.4 and 0.6) garnet system have been investigated over the temperature range of 300–673 K. It is found that the percentage formation of an additional yttrium orthoferrite phase observed along with the bcc garnet phase considerably reduces for x=0.4 and 0.6 compositions after swift heavy ion (SHI) irradiation. The nature of thermal variation of DC resistivity curves for x=0.0 and 0.2 compositions is different from that for x=0.4 and 0.6 compositions. The SHI irradiation influences the magnitude of DC resistivity and conduction mechanism for the single-phase compositions while for mixed-phase compositions they remain unaffected. The results have been explained in the light of replacement of magnetic (5μB), smaller (0.64 Å), Fe3+ ion by nonmagnetic (0μB), larger (0.89 Å), Y3+ ion, the presence of the yttrium orthoferrite phase and swift heavy ion irradiation-induced paramagnetic centers in the system.  相似文献
