Formation, isolation and characterization of an AB-biaryl atropisomer of oritavancin

Oritavancin is a semi-synthetic glycopeptide antibiotic which is structurally related to vancomycin. When oritavancin bisphosphate is dried in vacuo with heat, a new compound forms. This new compound is stable only in the solid state and reverts to oritavancin in solution. Highly enriched samples of this compound were obtained by preparative HPLC and the structure of this compound was elucidated by using one and two-dimensional (¹H and ¹³C) NMR spectroscopy in conjunction with computer-assisted molecular modeling. It has been determined that oritavancin adopts a conformation similar to that of vancomycin in solution, while the new compound is the unnatural R-AB-biaryl atropisomer of oritavancin. This is the first observation and isolation of an AB-biaryl atropisomer in an intact member of the vancomycin family of glycopeptide antibiotics.     

35Cr25Ni12奥氏体耐热钢中碳化物的电子显微分析

应用扫描电镜（SEM）和透射电镜（TEM）研究了长期使用前后的35Cr25Ni12奥氏体耐热钢中的碳化物演变行为；该钢固溶时效后的组织由初晶奥氏体及M23C6共晶碳化物组成，奥氏体基体中析出了二次M23C6，二次碳化物总是与基体保持立方－立方取向关系；长期使用（3、5年）后，奥氏体中析出的二次碳化物量明显增加，部分M23C6已转变为M6C，M6C与奥氏体基体以及二次碳化物M23C6保持[001]M6C//[221]A//[221]M23C6孪晶取向关系。     

A New Bibenzyl Glycoside from Dendrobium moniliforme

A new bibenzyl glycoside has been isolated from the stems of Dendrobium moniliforme (L.) Sw.(Orchidaceas).Its structure has been identified on the basis of spectroscopic and chemical methods.     

Enhancement of Overall Photovoltaic Efficiency by Changing the Position of the Attaching Group -RSO3- on the Hemicyanine Dye Molecules

A new photoresponsive D-π-A dye, mPS, has been designed and synthesized.Compared to the parent dye PS, IPCE values in the region from 400 nm to 560 nm was greatly improved upon changing the attaching group from the p- position to the o- position of the π-conjugation bridge. A solar cell based on mPS generated a remarkably high overall yield η of 5.4% under irradiation of 80.0 mW cm^-2 white light from a Xe lamp, Compared with PS, the overall yield η increased by 64%.     

Determination of low level85Kr and133Xe concentrations in the environment

This study was performed under the joint TRMC/INER program for the determination of low level⁸⁵Kr and¹³³Xe concentrations in the environmental air samples. Based on cryogenic adsorption of krypton and xenon on charcoal followed by chromatographic separation from other gases, the⁸⁵Kr and¹³³Xe recovered from 200 liters of atmospheric air can be determined by either on-line gas flow proportional counter or liquid scintillation counting. The recovery yields of krypton and xenon examined by using⁸⁵Kr and¹³³Xe tracers were nearly 100%. The minimum detectable activity of⁸⁵Kr and¹³³Xe by gas flow proportional counting is about 7.40 Bq. The method is satisfactory for environmental monitoring applications under abnormal conditions of nuclear facilities. However, for lower level environmental⁸⁵Kr and¹³³Xe measurements, the liquid scintillation counting method can be applied due to their extremely low detection limits (i.e. 0.107 Bq and 0.093 Bq for⁸⁵Kr and¹³³Xe, respectively). Using this method, the measurable limits of concentrations are 0.535 Bq/m³ and 0.466 Bq/m³ for⁸⁵Kr and¹³³Xe, respectively.     

HBTMPTP与伯胺N1923对稀土元素(Ⅲ)的协同萃取

研究了二（2，4，4-三甲基戊基）单硫代膦酸（HBTMPTP，HL）和伯胺N1923的正己烷溶液从硫酸介质中对稀土元素（Ⅲ）的协同萃取．并以La（Ⅲ）为例，用斜率法、恒摩尔法和饱和法确定了协萃配合物的组成为（RNH3）3L2La（SO4）2，计算了协萃配合物的生成常数及热力学函数，观测了协萃配合物的IR谱．     

Working group report: Flavor physics and model building

This is the report of flavor physics and model building working group at WHEPP-9. While activites in flavor physics have been mainly focused on B-physics, those in model building have been primarily devoted to neutrino physics. We present summary of working group discussions carried out during the workshop in the above fields, and also briefly review the progress made in some projects subsequently.     

Study on effects of substrate temperature on growth and structure of alignment carbon nanotubes in plasma-enhanced hot filament chemical vapor deposition system

Alignment carbon nanotubes (ACNTs) were synthesized on silicon substrate coated with Ni catalyst film and Ta buffer layer by plasma-enhanced hot filament chemical vapor deposition using CH₄, NH₃, and H₂ as the reaction gas, and they were investigated by scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy. It is found that the diameter of the bamboo-structured ACNTs is increased from 62 to 177 nm when the substrate temperature was changed from 626 to 756 °C. Their growth rate is enhanced by the substrate temperature in a range of 626-683 °C and it is reversely reduced with the substrate temperature after the substrate temperature is over 683 °C. Beginning with wetting phenomenon, the effects of the substrate temperature on the structure and growth rate of the ACNTs are analyzed.     

Frequent oscillation in a nonlinear partial difference equation

This paper is concerned with a class of nonlinear delay partial difference equations with variable coefficients, which may change sign. By making use of frequency measures, some new oscillatory criteria are established. This is the first time oscillation of these partial difference equations is discussed by employing frequency measures.
