Transient absorption spectra (400–600 nm) of 2-hydroxybenzophenone and the methyl methacrylate copolymer of 2-hydroxy, 3-allyl, 4,4'-dimethoxybenzophenone following 355 nm excitation (7–480 ps delay) are reported. A short-lived, 435 nm transient (τ ≈ 10 ps in CH2Cl2) for both molecules is assigned to the lowest excited singlet before internal proton transfer. Weaker, broad T-T absorption is observed after 480 ps.  相似文献

A new cationic cascade reaction has been developed that produces 4-tetrahydropyranones in good yield. The reaction is based on the facile 2-oxonia Cope rearrangement of allyl-substituted oxocarbenium ions. In the presence of a more nucleophilic silyl enol ether, such systems rearrange and cyclize to produce tetrahydropyranones. The substrates were prepared by silyl ketene acetal addition to ketenes. The rearrangement is compatible with tetrasubstituted silyl enol ethers, which result in the diastereoselective introduction of quaternary centers at the C3 position of the tetrahydropyran ring. The oxonia-Cope Prins rearrangement is a versatile new route to tetrahydropyrans.  相似文献

The template-directed syntheses, employing bisparaphenylene-[34]crown-10 (BPP34C10), 1,5-dinaphthoparaphenylene-[36]crown-10 (1/5NPPP36C10), and 1,5-dinaphtho-[38]crown-10 (1/5DNP38C10) as templates, of three [2]catenanes, whereby one of the two bipyridinium units in cyclobis(paraquat-p-phenylene) is replaced by a bipicolinium unit, are described. The crude reaction mixtures comprising the [2]catenanes all contain slightly more of the homologous [3]catenanes, wherein a "dimeric" octacationic cyclophane has the crown ether macrocycles encircling the alternating bipyridinium units with the bipicolinium units completely unfettered. X-ray crystallography, performed on all three [2]catenanes and two of the three [3]catenanes reveals co-conformational and stereochemical preferences that are stark and pronounced. Both the [3]catenanes crystallize as mixtures of diastereoisomers on account of the axial chirality associated with the picolinium units in the solid state. Dynamic (1)H NMR spectroscopy is employed to probe in solution the relative energy barriers for rotations by the phenylene and pyridinium rings in the tetracationic cyclophane component of the [2]catenanes. Where there are co-conformational changes that are stereochemically "allowed", crown ether circumrotation and rocking processes are also investigated for the relative rates of their occurrence. The outcome is one whereby the three [2]catenanes containing BPP34C10, 1/5NPPP36C10, and 1/5DNP38C10 exist as one major enantiomeric pair of diastereoisomers amongst two, four, and eight diastereoisomeric pairs of enantiomers, respectively. The diastereoisomerism is a consequence of the presence of axial chirality together with helical and/or planar chirality in the same interlocked molecule. These [2]catenanes constitute a rich reserve of new stereochemical types that might be tapped for their switching and mechanical properties.  相似文献

Nonlinear-response theory of nonequilibrium molecular-dynamics simulation algorithms is considered under the imposition of an arbitrary steady-state flow field. It is demonstrated that the SLLOD and DOLLS algorithms cannot be used for general flows, although the SLLOD algorithm is rigorous for planar Couette flow. Following the same procedure used to establish SLLOD as the valid algorithm for planar Couette flow [D. J. Evans and E. P. Morriss, Phys. Rev. A 30, 1528 (1984)], it is demonstrated that the p-SLLOD algorithm is valid for arbitrary flows and produces the correct nonlinear response of the viscous pressure tensor.  相似文献

Toluene diluted in argon subjected to continuous argon discharge radiation during condensation at 21 K revealed absorptions at 310.5 and 449.6 nm due to benzyl radical, and 317 nm due to a C77H9 radical. A photosensitive 430 nm band, in agreement with photodissociation spectra of the toluene parent cation, is assigned to this species.  相似文献

The reaction between AuCl(PPh3 and [Fe(μ3-HCNBut)(CO)9]? gives AuFe33-HCNBut)(CO)9(PPh3), crystals of which are triclinic, space group P1, with a 12.815(3), b 16.265(4), c 19.106(3) Å, α 67.15(3), β 73.46(2), γ 73.12(2)° and Z = 4. The comlex contains an AuFe3 “butterfly” cluster, the Fe3 face of which is bridged by the HCNBut ligand bonded in the (2σ + π) mode on the side opposite to the Au(PPh3) moiety, which, contrary to expectation based on the analogy with H, bridges the two Fe atoms σ-bonded to N, and π-bonded to the CN group. The AuFe2/Fe3 dihedral angles in the two independent molecules differ significantly, with values of 110.9 and 132.1°.  相似文献

The antioxidant activities of a number of N-phenyl nitrones containing phenolic functions were compared with N-methyl nitrones and conventional antioxidants in peroxide and TMTD sulphur-less vulcanizates. The N-phenyl nitrones were found to be effectively bound during vulcanization whereas the N-methyl nitrones were not. Unhindered phenols reacted to a higher degree and were relatively more effective than the typical hindered phenol antioxidant structures. A conventional bisphenol was effective in the sulphurless vulcanizate after solvent extraction but this is considered to be due to the formation of an insoluble zinc salt. Synergism was observed in the TMTD sulphurless vulcanizate both before and after extraction.  相似文献

Mass spectral libraries provide a tool for identifying unknown compounds using both molecular weight and fragmentation information. Mass spectrometers with electrospray ionisation (ESI) and atmospheric chemical ionisation (ApCI) sources have the capability to produce data of this type using in-source collisionally induced dissociation (CID), and in-source CID libraries can be created. Due to the variation in electrospray source design from different instrument manufacturers, the production of reproducible in-source CID spectra that can be used in libraries for all instrument types is not a trivial task. To date, the evaluation of the production of in-source CID libraries has tended to focus on similar instruments from one manufacturer. The studies have also tended to focus on specific compound classes, with a limited molecular weight range.This report describes the findings from the investigation of protocols for the creation of mass spectral libraries using ESI in-source CID on six instruments from four different manufacturers. The overall goal was to create a spectral library for the identification of unknowns. The library could then be applied across all manufacturers' electrospray instruments.Two different experimental protocols were attempted. The first used a tuning compound to establish standard ESI source conditions, with fixed fragmentation potentials. The second involved the attenuation of the [M + H](+) ion to a known degree. A diverse range of compounds (pharmaceutical, photographic, pesticides) was tested to establish the reproducibility of the spectra on the six instruments. Both protocols produced spectra on the various instruments that in many cases were very similar. In other examples, the spectra differed not only in their relative ion abundances, but also in terms of the spectral content. Important observations regarding the effect of ion source design are also reported.The degree of spectral reproducibility was calculated off-line by comparing the five most abundant ions (20% for each ion that matches) from each spectrum on each instrument. This approach was adopted, as we do not possess a software package that met our requirements for spectral comparison. Match factors (% fit) were calculated by comparing each spectrum against the spectra recorded for the same compound and then for all other compounds, on each instrument. The % fit values derived by the off-line approach gave a clear view of the spectral reproducibility from instrument to instrument and also discriminated the spectra of the various compounds from each other. The applicability of this approach was tested using a blind trial in which several compounds were presented as unknowns, their in-source CID spectra recorded and the five-ion approach used for identification.  相似文献

The preparations of two new phosphinothiophene ligands, 3,3'-bis(diphenylphosphino)-2,2'-bithiophene (dppbt; 1) and 3,3' "-dihexyl-3',3' '-bis(diphenylphosphino)-2,5':2',2' ':5' ',2' "-quaterthiophene (hdppqt; 2) are reported. Oxidation of 1 gives 3,3'-bis(diphenylphosphine oxide)-2,2'-bithiophene (3), and the crystal structure of this compound was determined. Pd(II) and Au(I) complexes of these ligands have been synthesized and characterized. Crystal structures of [(dppbt)PdCl(2)] (1-Pd), [(hdppqt)PdCl(2)] (2-Pd), [(dppbt)(AuCl)(2)] (1-Au), and [(hdppqt)(AuCl)(2)] (2-Au) were obtained. [(dppbt)(AuCl)(2)] crystallized in two solid-state forms; crystals grown from CH(2)Cl(2)/Et(2)O show a gold-gold interaction of 3.3221(4) A, but from CH(2)Cl(2)/toluene, the molecule crystallizes as a toluene adduct (1-Au-tol) and does not show any gold-gold interaction. All the complexes were characterized via UV-vis spectroscopy and cyclic voltammetry, and the effect of the metal on the energy of the pi-pi transition and oxidation potential was determined. These data are correlated to the interannular torsion angles in the oligothienyl groups from the crystal structure studies.  相似文献

Photoelectron energy and angular distributions are measured for the 2+1 multiphoton ionization process H2 X1Σg+ (ν = 0,J) + 2hv → E,F1Σg+E,JE = J) + hν → H2+X2Σg++) + e?, for νE = 0, 1, or 2 and for JE = 0 or 1 of the inner well of the double-minimum E,F state. Although a strong preference is found for ν+ = νE, the detailed H2+ vibrational distribution does not exhibit Franck-Condon behavior, and the photoelectron angular distributions vary markedly with both the JE value of the intermediate state and the ν+ value of the ion.  相似文献
