Summary In this paper we have reported our results on the attempted separation of copper(II), nickel(II), cobalt(II) and iron(III) in mixtures by filter paper strip chromatography, using aqueous ethanol as solvent. The effect of the presence of varying concentrations of citrate ion as a complexing agent in the mixtures has been studied. The complexing agent has been added in the metal solution, and not in the solvent as usually done by previous workers.  相似文献

In this paper we report a new idea for synthesizing polyaniline in an ordinary filter paper. The synthesis was carried out by a process in which aqueous acidic aniline solution and the oxidizing agent H(2)O(2) was added to the paper drop by drop and in sequence. Uniform polymerization could be obtained with the addition of reagents in either sequence. The polymer formation led to a green coloration of the paper. Formation of the emeraldine salt of polyaniline was confirmed by UV-vis and FTIR spectroscopy. Scanning electron microscopic measurements were made for surface characterization of the polymer formed in the paper. The same paper was used as a sensor for ammonia in vapor and in solution, for acid and base as well as endpoint indication, and also to filter acids and bases. We found that, using the polymer-containing paper, ammonia concentrations in a solution as low as 14 ppm could be measured.  相似文献

A self-consistent integral equation theory is presented for the conformational properties and spinodal lines of random copolymer melts. The theory combines field-theoretic methods with the polymer reference interaction site model (PRISM) theory. The many-chain problem is replaced by a single chain where the sites interact via a bare plus a self-consistently determined medium-induced potential, and the conformational properties are obtained using a variational method. The theoretical prediction for the spinodal line is qualitatively similar to that of non-self-consistent PRISM theory. The theory predicts macroscopic phase separation for all values of the monomer correlation strength, lambda. The inverse spinodal temperature is a nonmonotonic function of lambda with a maximum at lambda(max). For large values of lambda( approximately 1), the values of spinodal temperatures are almost identical to those of non-self-consistent PRISM theory. For low values of lambda, however, the theory predicts higher values for spinodal temperatures than non-self-consistent PRISM theory. The theory predicts significant changes in the mean-square end-to-end distance as the temperature is decreased.  相似文献

(E)-4-(2',4',5'-trimethoxyphenyl)but-1,3-diene (4) and (E)-4-(2',4',5'-trimethoxyphenyl)but-1-ene (6), bioactive phenylbutanoids of Zingiber cassumunar, were synthesized exclusively with trans geometry. Treatment of methylmagnesium iodide with (E)-2',4',5'-trimethoxycinnamaldehyde (2), an oxidized product of abundantly available toxic (Z)-phenylpropanoid (1) of Acorus calamus, gave (E)-4-(2',4',5'-trimethoxyphenyl)but-3-en-2-ol (3) which upon dehydration with copper sulphate/silica gel under microwave irradiation for 3 min afforded 4 in 58% yield. Further, catalytic hydrogenation of 4 with 10% Pd/C afforded 4-(2',4',5'-trimethoxyphenyl)butane (5) which upon dehydrogenation with DDQ/SiO2 afforded hypolipidemic 6 in 54% yield.  相似文献

Previous work in the application of chronopotentiometry in aqueous and fused salt media has been reviewed. This investigation describes the application of this principle to the reduction of cadmium, cobalt, lead and thallium ions in a fused eutectic mixture of potassium, chloride and lithium. chloride at 450°C. Platinum microelectrodes of different areas and geometry were used. The transition time was limited to the order of 0.2 to 0.7 sec using oscillographic recording.It was found that so long as the dimensions of the electrode were considerably greater than the thickness of the diffusion, layer, linear diffusion theory was obeyed. The transition time constants for cadmium, cobalt, lead and thallium ions were found to be 0.83± 0.02, 0.90 ± 0.03, 0.95 ± 0.04, and 0.59 ± 0.02.103 amp cm sec12 per mole, respectively. The diffusion coefficients of these ions were calculated to be 2.08, 2.42, 2.18 and 3.88.IO-5 cm2 sec-1, respectively.  相似文献

Subcellular distribution of Superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), selenium (SC) dependent glutathione peroxidase, and Se-independent glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px) activities were detected in different tissues (hepatopancreas, muscle, and gill) of freshwater prawnsMacrobrachium malcolmsonii andMacrobrahium lamarrei lamarrei. CAT and SOD were found almost equally between the mitochondrial and cytosolic fraction. Both Se-dependent and Se-independent GSH-Px activities were mainly found in cytosolic fraction.  相似文献

Summary Copper(II) complexes with the Schiff bases derived from Salicylaldehyde and its 5-chloro-, 5-bromo-, 5-nitro-, 3-ethoxy- and 3,5-dichloro derivatives, or from 2-hydroxy-1-naphthaldehyde ando-hydroxybenzylamine, have been synthesized and characterized on the basis of elemental analysis, i.r. and electronic spectra and magnetic susceptibility measurements. The Schiff bases behave as tridentate dibasic O, N and O donor ligands and form complexes with 11 metal: ligand stoichiometry which exhibit subnormal magnetic moments ( eff=0.88–0.98 B.M.) and are involved in strong antifer-romagnetic exchange (–J=482–525 cm–1). The complexes exhibit a d-d band atca. 1600 cm–1. A dimeric structure with aminophenolic oxygen atoms as the bridging atoms is proposed on the basis of i.r. and magnetic data.  相似文献

A high-performance thin layer chromatographic (HPTLC) method for the rapid and simple quantification of the four major anthraquinone derivatives i.e. physcion, chrysophanol, emodin and chrysophanol glycoside in Rheum emodi is described. HPTLC of anthraquinone derivatives was performed on pre-coated RP-18 F254S HPTLC plates. For achieving good separation, the mobile phase of methanol-water-formic acid (80:19:1, v/v/v) was used. The densitometric determination of anthraquinone derivatives was carried out at 445 nm in reflection/absorption mode. The calibration curves were linear in the range of 20-100 ng for physcion, 80-400 ng for chrysophanol and emodin, and 200-1000 ng for chrysophanol glycoside. The method was found to be reproducible and convenient for quantitative analysis of anthraquinone derivatives in the methanolic extract of rhizomes of R. emodi collected from three different locations of Western Himalaya, India.  相似文献

To better understand the functionality of organic anion transporting polypeptides (OATPs) and to design new ligands, reliable structural data of each OATP is needed. In this work, we used a combination of homology model with molecular dynamics simulations to generate a comprehensive structural dataset, that encompasses a diverse set of OATPs but also their relevant conformations. Our OATP models share a conserved transmembrane helix folding harbouring a druggable binding pocket in the shape of an inner pore. Our simulations suggest that the conserved salt bridges at the extracellular region between residues on TM1 and TM7 might influence the entrance of substrates. Interactions between residues on TM1 and TM4 within OATP1 family shown their importance in transport of substrates. Additionally, in transmembrane (TM) 1/2, a known conserved element, interact with two identified motifs in the TM7 and TM11. Our simulations suggest that TM1/2-TM7 interaction influence the inner pocket accessibility, while TM1/2-TM11 salt bridges control the substrate binding stability.  相似文献

Polystyrene (PS) was modified by covalently binding P-, P-N- and/or N- containing fire-retardant moieties through co- or ter-polymerization reactions of styrene with diethyl(acryloyloxymethyl)phosphonate (DEAMP), diethyl-p-vinylbenzyl phosphonate (DEpVBP), acrylic acid-2-[(diethoxyphosphoryl)methylamino]ethyl ester (ADEPMAE) and maleimide (MI). In the present study, the condensed-phase and the gaseous-phase activities of the abovementioned fire retardants within the prepared co- and ter-polymers were evaluated for the first time. Pyrolysis–Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry was employed to identify the volatile products formed during the thermal decomposition of the modified polymers. Benzaldehyde, α-methylstyrene, acetophenone, triethyl phosphate and styrene (monomer, dimer and trimer) were detected in the gaseous phase following the thermal cracking of fire-retardant groups and through main chain scissions. In the case of PS modified with ADEPMAE, the evolution of pyrolysis gases was suppressed by possible inhibitory actions of triethyl phosphate in the gaseous phase. The reactive modification of PS by simultaneously incorporating P- (DEAMP or DEpVBP) and N- (MI) monomeric units, in the chains of ter-polymers, resulted in a predominantly condensed-phase mode of action owing to synergistic P and N interactions. The solid-state 31P NMR spectroscopy, Scanning Electron Microscopy/Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy, Inductively-Coupled Plasma/Optical Emission Spectroscopy and X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy of char residues, obtained from ter-polymers, confirmed the retention of the phosphorus species in their structures.  相似文献
