A series of nitroimidazoles were subjected to hydroxymethylations under a variety of conditions. Hydroxymethylation of 1-(2-hydroxyethyl), 1-(2-acetoxyethyl), and 1-(2-chloroethyl) substituted 5-nitroimidazoles with paraformaldehyde in dimethyl sulfoxide yielded the respective 2-hydroxymethyl analogs (5–7). However, attempts to hydroxymethylate 1-(2-hydroxyethyl), 1-(2-acetoxyethyl), 1-(2-cyanoethyl) substituted 4-nitroimidazoles and 1-(2-hydroxyethyl)-2-nitroimidazole were unsuccessful. Treatment of 1-(2-acetoxyethyl)-5-nitro-2-imidazolecar-baldehyde(10) with hydroxylamine-O-sulfonic acid afforded a mixture of corresponding 2-carbonitrile (12) and 2-(N-hydroxy)carboximidamide (13). Hydrolysis of 10 with ethanolic hydrochloric acid yielded 8-ethoxy-5,6-dihydro-3-nitro-8H-imidazo[2,1-c] [1,4]oxazine (11) which, on subsequent reaction with hydroxylamine-O-sulfonic acid, afforded 1-(2-hydroxyethyl)-5-nitroimidazole-2-(N-hydroxy)carboximidamide (15). Reaction of 4(5)-nitroimidazole with chloropropionitrile produced a mixture of the isomeric 1-(2-cyanoethyl) substituted 4- and 5-nitroimidazoles. Treatment of 2,4(5)-dinitroímidazole with chloropropionitrile afforded a mixture of 4(5)-chloro-5(4)-nitroimidazole and 1-(2-cyanoethyl)-4-nitro-5-chloroimidazoIe. Reaction of nitroimidazoles with acrylonitrile in the presence of Triton B yielded the corresponding 1-(2-cyanoethyl) substituted derivatives.  相似文献

Summary The kinetics of the OsVIII-catalysed oxidation of glycols by alkaline hexacyanoferrate(III) ion exhibits zerothorder dependence in [Fe(CN) 6 3– ] and first-order dependence in [OsO4]. The order with respect to glycols is less than unity, whereas the rate dependence on [OH] is a combination of two rate constants; one independent of and the other first-order in [OH]. These observations are commensurate with a mechanism in which two complexes, [OsO4(H2O)G] and [OsO4(OH)G]2–, are formed either from [OsO4(H2O)(OH)] or [OsO4(OH)2]2– and the glycol GH, or by [OsO4(H2O)2] and [OsO4(H2O)(OH)] and the glycolate ion, G, which is in equilibrium with the glycol GH through the reaction between GH and OH. Hence there is an ambiguity about the true path for the formation of the two OsVIII-glycol complexes. A reversal in the reactivity order of glycols in the two rate-determining steps, despite the common attack of OH ion on the two species of OsVIII-complexes, indicates that the two complexes are structurally different because S changes from the negative (corresponding to k11) to positive (related to k2).  相似文献

Summary A new series of cyano-substituted nitrosylchromium(I) complexes having octahedral stereochemistry around the metal ion, and of general formula, [CrNO(CN)2(L)2(H2O)] (L =o-,m- andp-phenetidines oro-,m-, andp-anisidines) have been isolated in the solid state by interaction of potassium pentacy-anonitrosylchromate(I) monohydrate with the appropriately substituted aniline. The complexes, which have been characterised by elemental analysis, conductance, molecular weight determination, magnetic measurements, e.s.r. and i.r. spectral studies, contain chromium(I) in a low-spin d5-configuration.  相似文献

The behavior of (Z)-3-p-tolylsulfinylacrylonitrile (1) as a chiral dienophile has been evaluated from its reactions with furan and acyclic dienes. Electrostatic interactions of the cyano group with the sulfinyl one restrict the conformational mobility around the C-S bond, thus controlling the pi-facial selectivity, which is almost complete in all cases, the approach of the diene from the less-hindered face of the dienophile (that bearing the lone electron pair) in the predominant rotamer being the favored one. The regioselectivity is also completely controlled by the cyano group. Additionally, the reactivity of compound 1 as well as its endo-selectivity are both higher than those observed for the corresponding (Z)-3-sulfinylacrylates, thus proving the potential of sulfinylnitriles as chiral dienophiles.  相似文献

Relative intensities of the Stokes and anti-Stokes Raman lines associated with the I-I stretching mode of I2 and symmetric stretching mode of MnO?4 are presented. The data indicate that the maxima in the excitation profile of the anti-Stokes scattering are shifted from those of the Stokes scattering. The experimental Stokes/anti-Stokes intensity ratios agree with the theoretical values obtained with parameters from the electronic absorption spectra.  相似文献

A facile seven-step sequence was developed from 4′-bromopropiophenone, utilizing a Suzuki-type coupling with an alkene, to give several novel 5-substituted pyrazole derivatives in overall yields of 11-31%. They are potent CB1 antagonists and have binding affinities similar to SR 141716A. Like SR 141716A, they may prove to be clinically useful for the treatment of obesity.  相似文献

Summary Estimation of zeta potential from experimental data on electroosmotic and electrophoretic effects for Zeokarb 225 (Na+ form)/methanol-water system has been made and discussed. Results indicate that zeta potentials estimated from electroosmotic flux and electrophoretic mobility are not in agreement and vary with applied potential difference in a linear manner. Reasons for the variation of zeta potential with electrical field have been discussed. It has been argued that zeta potentials estimated from electroosmotic data are more reliable in comparison to the values obtained from electrophoretic data.With 2 figures and 2 tables  相似文献

Prenylated stilbenoids such as arachidin-1 and arachidin-3 are stilbene derivatives that exhibit multiple pharmacological activities. We report an elicitation strategy using different combinations of cyclodextrin, hydrogen peroxide, methyl jasmonate and magnesium chloride to increase arachidin-1 and arachidin-3 production in peanut hairy root cultures. The treatment of hairy root cultures with cyclodextrin with hydrogen peroxide selectively enhanced arachidin-1 yield (132.6 ± 20.4 mg/L), which was 1.8-fold higher than arachidin-3. Similarly, cyclodextrin combined with methyl jasmonate selectively enhanced arachidin-3 yield (178.2 ± 6.8 mg/L), which was 5.5-fold higher than arachidin-1. Re-elicitation of the hairy root cultures further increased the levels of arachidin-1 and arachidin-3 by 24% and 42%, respectively. The ethyl acetate extract of the culture medium was consecutively fractionated by normal- and reversed-phase column chromatography, followed by semi-preparative HPLC purification on a C18 column to yield arachidin-1 with a recovery rate of 32% and arachidin-3 with a recovery rate of 39%, both at higher than 95% purity. This study provided a sustainable strategy to produce high-purity arachidin-1 and arachidin-3 using hairy root cultures of peanuts combined with column chromatography and semi-preparative HPLC.  相似文献

A series of chalcone ligands and their corresponding vanadyl complexes of composition [VO (LI–IV)2(H2O)2]SO4 (where LI = 1,3‐Diphenylprop‐2‐en‐1‐one, LII = 3‐(2‐Hydroxy‐phenyl)‐1‐phenyl‐propenone, LIII = 3‐(3‐Nitro‐phenyl)‐1‐phenyl‐propenone, LIV = 3‐(4‐Methoxy‐phenyl)‐1‐phenyl‐propenone) have been synthesized and characterized using various spectroscopic (Fourier‐transform infrared, electrospray ionization mass, nuclear magnetic resonance, electron paramagnetic resonance, thermogravimetric analysis, vibrating sample magnetometer) and physico‐analytic techniques. Antidiabetic activities of synthesized complexes along with chalcones were evaluated by performing in vitro and in silico α‐amylase and α‐glucosidase inhibition studies. The obtained results displayed moderate to significant inhibition activity against both the enzymes by vanadyl chalcone complexes. The most potent complexes were further investigated for the enzyme kinetic studies and displayed the mixed inhibition for both the enzymes. Further, antioxidant activity of vanadyl chalcone complexes was evaluated for their efficiency to release oxidative stress using 2,2‐diphenyl‐1‐picryl‐hydrazyl‐hydrate assay, and two complexes (Complexes 2 and 4 ) have demonstrated remarkable antioxidant activity. All the complexes were found to possess promising antidiabetic and antioxidant potential.  相似文献
