Hydroxylation of nigranoic acid to 6β-hydroxynigranoic acid by Caryospora carllicarpa YMF1.01026

Microbial transformation of nigranoic acid by Caryospora carllicarpa YMF1.01026 afforded the new derivative 6β-hydro-xynigranoic acid. Its structure was elucidated by spectroscopic methods.     

Formation of ring calcium oxalate patterns induced by domains in DPPC Langmuir-Blodgett films

The ring patterns of calcium oxalate crystals were induced by domains in Langmuir-Blodgett （LB） films of dipalmitoylpho- sphatidylcboline （DPPC）. The result was explained by the defects at the ring boundaries of liquid condensed （LC） and liquid expanded （LE） phases of LB film. These boundaries could provide less free energy and much more nucleating sites for COM crystals.     

Novel preparation of NaA/carbon nanocomposite thin films with high permeance for CO2/CH4 separation

Novel NaA/carbon nanocomposite thin films were successfully prepared on a porous a-Al2O3 substrate by incorporatingnanosized NaA zeolite into novolak-type phenolic resin.The prepared films were characterized by XRD,SEM and single gaspermeation tests.The NaA zeolite/carbon nanocomposite thin films exhibited that the ideal separation factor of CO2/CH4 was 28.4and the carbon dioxide flux was 3.39*10-7mol/(Pa m2s)at room temperature and under a pressure difference of 100 kPa,whichwas two orders of magnitude higher than that of pure carbon membrane prepared at the same procedures and conditions as those ofcomposite films.From the SEM images,the films were continuous and highly intergrown.Compared with carbon membranes,thethickness of nanocomposite films was drastically decreased,which was helpful to reduce the diffusion resistance and increase theflux of gas permeance.     

Growing kinetics and structural characterization of oxide film formed on La-doped Co-40Cr alloy

The isothermal and cyclic oxidizing kinetics of Co-40Cr alloy and its lanthanum ion-implanted samples were studied at 1000℃ in air by thermal-gravity analysis (TGA). Scanning electronic microscopy (SEM) and transmission electronic microscopy (TEM)) were used to examine the oxidized film's morphology and the structure after oxidation. Secondary ion mass spectrum (SIMS) method was used to examine the binding energy change of chromium caused by La-doping and its in?uence on formation of Cr2O3 film. Laser Raman spectrum was used to examine the tress changes within oxidized films. It was found that lanthanum implantation remarkably reduced the isothermal oxidizing rate of Co-40Cr and improved the anti-cracking and anti-spalling properties of Cr2O3 film. The reasons were that the implanted lanthanum reduced the grain size and internal stress of Cr2O3 oxide, increased the high temperature plasticity of oxidized film. Lanthanum mainly existed in the outer surface of Cr2O3 film in the forms of fine La2O3 and LaCrO3 spinel particles.     

A facile synthesis of 2-substituted-2,3-dihydro-4(1H)-quinazolinones in 2,2,2-trifluoroethanol

2-Substituted-2,3-dihydro-4(1H)-quinazolinones were obtained in high yields by condensation of anthranilamide with aryl, alkyl or heteroaryl aldehydes or ketones in the refluxing 2,2,2-trifluoroethanol without any catalyst.     

LapRLSR for NIR spectral modeling and its application to online monitoring of the column separation of Salvianolate

A novel near infrared (NIR) modeling method—Laplacian regularized least squares regression (LapRLSR) was presented, which can take the advantage of many unlabeled spectra to promote the prediction performance of the model even if there are only few calibration samples. Using LapRLSR modeling, NIR spectral analysis was applied to the online monitoring of the concentration of salvia acid B in the column separation of Salvianolate. The results demonstrated that LapRLSR outperformed partial least squares (PLS) significantly, and NIR online analysis was applicable.     

Fusarielin E, a new antifungal antibiotic from Fusarium sp.

A new antifungal antibiotic,fusarielin E,was isolated from the marine-derived fungus Fusarium sp.Its structure was established on the basis of various NMR spectroscopic analyses and HR-FAB-MS.Fusarielin E displayed significant biological activity against Pyricularia oryzae.     

Synthesis of 4″-benzyloxyimino-4″-deoxyavermectin Bla derivatives

Six new 4″-benzyloxyimino-4″-deoxyavermectin Bla derivatives were synthesized from avermectin Bla by the selective protection of C-5-hydroxy group,oxidation of C-4″-hydroxy group,and deprotection followed by reaction with O-substituted hydroxylamine hydrochlorides.Their structures were confirmed by IR,~1H NMR,~(13)C NMR and MS.Insecticidal activities of the derivatives against Phopalosiphum pseudobrassicae,Spodoptera exigua and Pluteua xylosteua were evaluated.     

Syntheses, Crystal Structures and Magnetism of Two New Coordination Polymers [Ni（bix）2Cl2]n and [Co（bix）Cl2]n

The self-assembly reactions of MIICl2 (M = Ni, Co) with the flexible bix ligand [bix = 1,4-bis(imidazole-1-ylmethyl)benzene] yielded a 2D network [NiII(bix)2Cl2]n 1 and a 1D chain [CoII(bix)Cl2]n 2. Their crystal structures have been determined by X-ray single-crystal diffraction analysis. Complex 1 characters a two-dimensional grid-type structure and crystallizes in monoclinic, space group P21/c with a = 7.7231(7), b = 12.7787(9), c = 13.9374(13) , β = 105.419(4)o, C28H28Cl2N8Ni, Mr = 606.19, Ζ = 2, V = 1326.0(2) 3, Dc = 1.518 g/cm3, μ = 0.969 mm-1, F(000) = 628, R = 0.0429 and wR = 0.0783 for 2503 observed reflections (I > 2σ(I)). Compound 2 is a one-dimensional chain and crystallizes in orthorhombic, space group Pbca with a = 11.3696(6), b = 10.2128(6), c = 14.4943(9) , C14H14Cl2CoN4, Mr = 368.12, Z = 4, V = 1683.01(17) 3, Dc = 1.453 g/cm3, μ = 1.334 mm-1, F(000) = 748, R = 0.0317 and wR = 0.0800 for 1778 observed reflections (I > 2σ(I)). Magnetic properties of the title complexes were also investigated.     

DFT Calculations of the Ionization Potential and Electron Affinity of Alaninamide

Adiabatic and vertical ionization potentials (IPs) and valence electron affinities (EAs) of alaninamide in gas phase have been determined using density functional theory (BLYP,B3LYP,B3P86) methods with 6-311++G(d,p) basis set,respectively. IPs and EAs of alaninamide in solutions have been calculated at the B3LYP/6-311++G(d,p) level. Five possible conformers of alaninamide and their charged states have been optimized employing density functional theory B3LYP method with 6-311++(d,p) basis set,respectively.
