The excitonic properties of a ZnSe/ZnSxSe1−x strained quantum well (QW) are calculated taking into account interface effects. Numerical results obtained with ZnS0.18Se0.82/ZnSe QWs show that graded interfaces can be responsible for a strong broadening of excitonic spectra.  相似文献

This paper reports on the structural and optical properties of Co-doped TiO2 thin films grown onto (0001)Al2O3 substrates by non-reactive pulsed laser deposition (PLD) using argon as buffer gas. It is shown that by keeping constant the substrate temperature at as low as 310 °C and varying only the background gas pressure between 7 Pa and 70 Pa, it is possible to grow either epitaxial rutile or pure anatase thin films, as well as films with a mixture of both polymorphs. The optical band gaps of the films are red shifted in comparison with the values usually reported for undoped TiO2, which is consistent with n-type doping of the TiO2 matrix. Such band gap red shift brings the absorption edge of the Co-doped TiO2 films into the visible region, which might favour their photocatalytic activity. Furthermore, the band gap red shift depends on the films’ phase composition, increasing with the increase of the Urbach energy for increasing rutile content.  相似文献

We explore the mechanism responsible for the ergodicity breaking in systems with long-range forces. In thermodynamic limit such systems do not evolve to the Boltzmann-Gibbs equilibrium, but become trapped in an out-of-equilibrium quasi-stationary-state. Nevertheless, we show that if the initial distribution satisfies a specific constraint-a generalized virial condition-the quasistationary state is very close to ergodic and can be described by Lynden-Bell statistics. On the other hand, if the generalized virial condition is violated, parametric resonances are excited, leading to chaos and ergodicity breaking.  相似文献

We prove a conjecture of Las Vergnas in dimensions d7: The matroid of the d-dimensional cube C d has a unique reorientation class. This extends a result of Las Vergnas, Roudneff and Salaün in dimension 4. Moreover, we determine the automorphism group G d of the matroid of the d-cube C d for arbitrary dimension d, and we discuss its relation to the Coxeter group of C d . We introduce matroid facets of the matroid of the d-cube in order to evaluate the order of G d . These matroid facets turn out to be arbitrary pairs of parallel subfacets of the cube. We show that the Euclidean automorphism group W d is a proper subgroup of the group G d of all matroid symmetries of the d-cube by describing genuine matroid symmetries for each Euclidean facet. A main theorem asserts that any one of these matroid symmetries together with the Euclidean Coxeter symmetries generate the full automorphism group G d . For the proof of Las Vergnas' conjecture we use essentially these symmetry results together with the fact that the reorientation class of an oriented matroid is determined by the labeled lower rank contractions of the oriented matroid. We also describe the Folkman-Lawrence representation of the vertex figure of the d-cube and a contraction of it. Finally, we apply our method of proof to show a result of Las Vergnas, Roudneff, and Salaün that the matroid of the 24-cell has a unique reorientation class, too.  相似文献

Ultrathin films of Al2O3 deposited on Si were submitted to rapid thermal annealing in vacuum or in oxygen atmosphere, in the temperature range from 600 to 800 degrees C. Nuclear reaction profiling with subnanometric depth resolution evidenced mobility of O, Al, and Si species, and angle-resolved x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy revealed the formation of Si-Al-O compounds in near-surface regions, under oxidizing atmosphere at and above 700 degrees C. Under vacuum annealing all species remained essentially immobile. A model is presented based on diffusion-reaction equations capable of explaining the mobilities and reproducing the obtained profiles.  相似文献

Unstructured adaptive grid flow simulation is applied to the calculation of high-speed compressible flows of inert and reactive gas mixtures. In the present case, the flowfield is simulated using the 2-D Euler equations, which are discretized in a cell-centered finite volume procedure on unstructured triangular meshes. Interface fluxes are calculated by a Liou flux vector splitting scheme which has been adapted to an unstructured grid context by the authors. Physicochemical properties are functions of the local mixture composition, temperature, and pressure, which are computed using the CHEMKIN-II subroutines. Computational results are presented for the case of premixed hydrogen–air supersonic flow over a 2-D wedge. In such a configuration, combustion may be triggered behind the oblique shock wave and transition to an oblique detonation wave is eventually obtained. It is shown that the solution adaptive procedure implemented is able to correctly define the important wave fronts. A parametric analysis of the influence of the adaptation parameters on the computed solution is performed.  相似文献
