During the course of a human biomonitoring project (Biebesheim in Hessen, Germany) we elaborated a simple but sensitive method
for the determination of tri- (TCP), tetra- (TeCP) and pentachlorophenol (PCP) in human urine. Urine samples, spiked with
internal standards, were treated by acid hydrolysis. After a steam bath distillation the distillates were extracted using
solid phase extraction. Derivatization of the chlorophenols was not carried out. GC/ECD system was used for detection. Detection
limits of the chlorophenols were found in the range of 0.02 μg/L urine (detection limits of the ECD: 0.52 to 2.76 μg/L). By
this method mono- and dichlorophenols cannot be detected. We investigated 24h-urine samples of 339 pupils (age 10 to 12 years).
The children live either in the surroundings of a hazardous waste incinerator (SVA) in Biebesheim (n = 193), or controls (i.e.
regions without waste incinerator) in the non polluted areas of Odenwald (n = 90) and Rheintal (n = 56). Between these three
groups we did not find statistically significant differences in chlorophenol concentrations of the urine samples. The 95-percentiles
of the analyzed samples are 0.74 μg/L (2,3,4-TCP), 1.24 μg/L (2,3,5-TCP), 0.70 μg/L (2,3,6–TCP), 1.10 μg/L (2,4,5–TCP), 1.74
μg/L (2,4,6–TCP), 2.84 μg/L (3,4,5–TCP), 4.78 μg/L (2,3,4,5-TeCP), 1.86 μg/L (2,3,4,6-TeCP), 2.90 μg/L (2,3,5,6-TeCP) and
4.39 μg/L (PCP).

Mode locking based on an epitaxial composite of the monoclinic double tungstate crystal Yb:KLu(WO4)2 is realized. A 100 microm thin Yb:KLu(WO4)2 layer grown on a KLu(WO4)2 substrate is used as an active medium in a laser passively mode locked by a semiconductor saturable absorber. Pulse durations of 114 fs have been achieved for an average power of 31 mW at 1030 nm. Results in the femtosecond and picosecond regimes of the Yb:KLu(WO4)2/KLu(WO4)2 laser are presented. The great potential of Yb-doped tungstate composite structures as active elements for mode-locked laser systems is demonstrated. 相似文献

Highly strained InxGa1–xAs quantum wells (QWs) with GaAs barriers emitting around 1.2 µm are grown on GaAs substrates by metal organic vapour phase epitaxy (MOVPE) at low growth temperatures using conventional precursors. The effects of growth temperature, V/III ratio and growth rate on QW composition and luminescence properties are studied. The variation of indium incorporation with V/III ratio at a growth temperature of 510 °C is found to be opposite to the results reported for 700 °C. By an appropriate choice of the growth parameters, we could extend the room temperature photoluminescence (PL) wavelength of InGaAs/GaAs QWs up to about 1.24 µm which corresponds to an average indium content of 41% in the QW. The reductive coupling of an N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC) stabilized (dibromo)vinylborane yields a 1,2-divinyldiborene, which, although isoelectronic to a 1,3,5-triene, displays no extended π conjugation because of twisting of the C2B2C2 chain. Studies report a bidirectional S(E)' strategy applicable for the stereocontrolled synthesis of nonracemic 1,5-syn and 1,5-anti diols and their derivatives. Nonracemic 1,3,2-diazaborolidine auxiliaries are incorporated by chemoselective tin-boron exchange to provide reactive allylic boranes. The convergent pathway utilizes sequential reactions with two aldehydes producing stereochemical outcomes from cyclic, closed, and open transition state preferences, respectively. Cross-linking net aggregates of thermolabile thaumatin-like proteins (TLPs) and chitinases (CHIs) are the primary source of haze in white wines. Although bentonite fining is still routinely used in winemaking, alternative methods to selectively remove haze proteins without affecting wine organoleptic properties are needed. The availability of pure TLPs and CHIs would facilitate the research for the identification of such technological advances. Therefore, we proposed the usage of recombinant TLP (rTLP) and CHI (rCHI), expressed by Komagataella phaffii, as haze-protein models, since they showed similar characteristics (aggregation potential, melting point, functionality, glycosylation levels and bentonite adsorption) to the native-haze proteins from Vitis vinifera. Hence, rTLP and rCHI can be applied to study haze formation mechanisms on a molecular level and to explore alternative fining methods by screening proteolytic enzymes and ideal adsorptive resins. 相似文献
