Rhodium PCcarbeneP complexes 1‐L {L=PPh3, PPh2(C6F5)} react with isothiocyanate, carbodiimide and disulphide to enable C?S, C?N and S?S bond cleavage. The cleaved molecules are sequestered by the metal center and the pincer alkylidene linkage, forming η2‐coordinated sulfide or imide centered pincer complexes. When a C?S or S?S bond is cleaved, the resulting complexes can bridge two rhodium centers through sulphur forming dimeric complexes and eliminating a monodentate phosphine ligand. 相似文献

Carotenoids are the crucial pigments involved in photoprotection and in scavenging harmful free radicals in all living organisms. The underlying chemical processes are charge transfer and free radical reactions, both of them leading to carotenoid radical cation (Car*+) formation. Accurate knowledge of the molecular properties of Car*+ is thus a prerequisite for understanding of their function as photoprotective and antioxidant agents. Despite their fundamental importance in nonphotochemical quenching in green plants, only little is known about the Car*+ excited states and their dynamics. Our combined experimental and theoretical investigation employing femtosecond time-resolved pump-probe spectroscopy and quantum chemical calculations proves the existence of a second low-lying pipi* excited-state energetically below the well-known strongly allowed excited-state responsible for the intense absorption of Car*+ in the near-IR region. Hence, we suggest denoting the latter state as D3 state in the future. Our findings have also implications for nonphotochemical quenching in green plants, since direct quenching of chlorophyll excited states by Forster energy transfer to Car*+ is possible and efficient. 相似文献

A collection of the cyanobacterium Lyngbya confervoides off Grassy Key in Florida yielded grassypeptolide (1), a 31-membered macrocyclic depsipeptide with unusually high D-amino acid content, two thiazolines, and one beta-amino acid. We report the rigorous 3D structure determination and conformational analysis in solution and solid state by NMR, MS, X-ray crystallography, chemical degradation, and molecular modeling involving distance geometry and restrained molecular dynamics. High level ab initio and density functional calculations have been employed to determine the most appropriate manner in which to truncate an arginine-bound carboxylate motif, using the substrate mechanism of Pyruvate Formate-Lyase as a case study. Pd-mediated reactions have emerged as a powerful tool for the site-selective and bioorthogonal late-stage diversification of amino acids, peptides and related compounds. Indole moieties of tryptophan derivatives are susceptible to C2H-activation, whereas halogenated aromatic amino acids such as halophenylalanines or halotryptophans provide a broad spectrum of different functionalisations. The compatibility of transition-metal-catalysed cross-couplings with functional groups in peptides, other biologically active compounds and even proteins has been demonstrated. This Review primarily compiles the application of different cross-coupling reactions to modify halotryptophans, halotryptophan containing peptides or halogenated, biologically active compounds derived from tryptophan. Modern approaches use regio- and stereoselective biocatalytic strategies to generate halotryptophans and derivatives on a preparative scale. The combination of bio- and chemocatalysis in cascade reactions is given by the biocompatibility and bioorthogonality of Pd-mediated reactions. 相似文献

DCl(+)(X (2)Pi(32),v(+")=0) cations have been prepared by 2+1 resonance enhanced multiphoton ionization, and their subsequent fragmentation following excitation at numerous wavelengths in the range of 240-350 nm studied by velocity map imaging of the resulting Cl(+) products. This range of excitation wavelengths allows selective population of A (2)Sigma(+) state levels with all vibrational (v(+')) quantum numbers in the range 0< or =v(+')< or =15. Image analysis yields wavelength dependent branching ratios and recoil anisotropies of the various D+Cl(+) ((3)P(J), (1)D, and (1)S) product channels. Levels with 10< or =v(+')< or =15 have sufficient energy to predissociate, forming D+Cl(+)((3)P(J)) products with perpendicular recoil anisotropies-consistent with the A (2)Sigma(+)<--X (2)Pi parent excitation and subsequent fragmentation on a time scale that is fast compared with the parent rotational period. Branching into the various spin-orbit states of the Cl(+)((3)P(J)) product is found to depend sensitively upon v(+') and, in the case of the v(+')=13 level, to vary with the precise choice of excitation wavelength within the A (2)Sigma(+)<--X (2)Pi(13,0) band. Such variations have been rationalized qualitatively in terms of the differing contributions made to the overall predissociation rate of DCl(+)(A,v(+')) molecules by coupling to repulsive states of (4)Pi, (4)Sigma(-), and (2)Sigma(-) symmetries, all of which are calculated to cross the outer limb of the A (2)Sigma(+) state potential at energies close to that of the v(+')=10 level. Cl(+)((3)P(J)) fragments are detected weakly following excitation to A (2)Sigma(+) state levels with v(+')=0 or 1, Cl(+)((1)D) fragments dominate the ion yield when exciting via 2< or =v(+')< or =6 and via v(+')=9, while Cl(+)((1)S) fragments dominate the Cl(+) images obtained when exciting via levels with v(+')=7 and 8. Analysis of wavelength resolved action spectra for forming these Cl(+) ions and of the resulting Cl(+) ion images shows that (i) these ions all arise via two photon absorption processes, resonance enhanced at the one photon energy by the various A(v(+')<10) levels, (ii) the first A (2)Sigma(+)<--X (2)Pi absorption step is saturated under the conditions required to observe significant two photon dissociation, and (iii) the final absorption step from the resonance enhancing A(v(+')) level involves a parallel transition. 相似文献

The reaction of [Ni(Mes2Im)2] (1) (Mes2Im = 1,3-dimesityl-imidazolin-2-ylidene) with polyfluorinated arenes as well as mechanistic investigations concerning the insertion of 1 and [Ni(iPr2Im)2] (1ipr) (iPr2Im = 1,3-diisopropyl-imidazolin-2-ylidene) into the C–F bond of C6F6 is reported. The reaction of 1 with different fluoroaromatics leads to formation of the nickel fluoroaryl fluoride complexes trans-[Ni(Mes2Im)2(F)(ArF)] (ArF = 4-CF3-C6F42, C6F53, 2,3,5,6-C6F4N 4, 2,3,5,6-C6F4H 5, 2,3,5-C6F3H26, 3,5-C6F2H37) in fair to good yields with the exception of the formation of the pentafluorophenyl complex 3 (less than 20%). Radical species and other diamagnetic side products were detected for the reaction of 1 with C6F6, in line with a radical pathway for the C–F bond activation step using 1. The difluoride complex trans-[Ni(Mes2Im)2(F)2] (9), the bis(aryl) complex trans-[Ni(Mes2Im)2(C6F5)2] (15), the structurally characterized nickel(i) complex trans-[NiI(Mes2Im)2(C6F5)] (11) and the metal radical trans-[NiI(Mes2Im)2(F)] (12) were identified. Complex 11, and related [NiI(Mes2Im)2(2,3,5,6-C6F4H)] (13) and [NiI(Mes2Im)2(2,3,5-C6F3H2)] (14), were synthesized independently by reaction of trans-[Ni(Mes2Im)2(F)(ArF)] with PhSiH3. Simple electron transfer from 1 to C6F6 was excluded, as the redox potentials of the reaction partners do not match and [Ni(Mes2Im)2]+, which was prepared independently, was not detected. DFT calculations were performed on the insertion of [Ni(iPr2Im)2] (1ipr) and [Ni(Mes2Im)2] (1) into the C–F bond of C6F6. For 1ipr, concerted and NHC-assisted pathways were identified as having the lowest kinetic barriers, whereas for 1, a radical mechanism with fluoride abstraction and an NHC-assisted pathway are both associated with almost the same kinetic barrier.A combined experimental and theoretical study on the mechanism of the C–F bond activation of C6F6 with [Ni(NHC)2] is provided. 相似文献

The applicability of spectrochemical analysis of minute amounts of powder samples was investigated using an ultraviolet Nd-YAG
laser (355 nm) and low-pressure ambient air. A large variety of chemical powder samples of different composition were employed
in the experiment. These included a mixture of copper(II) sulfate pentahydrate, zinc sulfide, and chromium(III) sulfate n-hydrate powders, baby powder, cosmetic powders, gold films, zinc supplement tablet, and muds and soils from different areas.
The powder samples were prepared by pulverizing the original samples to an average size of around 30 μm in order to trap them
in the tiny micro holes created on the surface of the quartz subtarget. It was demonstrated that in all cases studied, good
quality spectra were obtained with low background, free from undesirable contamination by the subtarget elements and featuring
ppm sensitivity. A further measurement revealed a linear calibration curve with zero intercept. These results clearly show
the potential application of this technique for practical qualitative and quantitative spectrochemical analysis of powder
samples in various fields of study and investigation. 相似文献
