FT-IR spectroscopy and SFM were used to investigate the growth of thin films of the organic semiconductor 3,4,9,10-perylenetetracarboxylicdianhydride (PTCDA) deposited by vacuum sublimation onto various substrates, i.e. Ag(111) layers on mica, KBr(100), mica, oxidized Si, and TiO2 nanoparticles on Si. Layer thicknesses of PTCDA varied from 10 to 1500 nm.The anhydride vibrations of PTCDA differ for the used substrates, which can be connected to the orientation of the molecules relative to the substrate surface and the film morphology as detected in the SFM pictures.  相似文献

We establish the existence of infinitely many polynomial progressions in the primes; more precisely, given any integer-valued polynomials P 1, …, P k  ∈ Z[m] in one unknown m with P 1(0) = … = P k (0) = 0, and given any ε > 0, we show that there are infinitely many integers x and m, with 1 \leqslant m \leqslant xe1 \leqslant m \leqslant x^\varepsilon, such that x + P 1(m), …, x + P k (m) are simultaneously prime. We present X-ray photoemission spectroscopy (XPS) results obtained on polycrystalline YBa2Cu3O7–x in the non-metallic (x>0.6) and metallic state (x<0.6) by an in-situ oxygen deloading/loading procedure, thus avoiding uncontrolled surface contaminations. The transition to the metallic (superconducting) state is characterized by corresponding changes in the O1s and Cu2p photoelectron lineshapes being in accordance with charge transfer from CuO2 planes to CuO chains. In particular, a peak at 531.1 eV binding energy is related to the presence of oxygen hole states (O).  相似文献

Two-component systems (TCS) are signaling machinery that consist of a histidine kinases (HK) and response regulator (RR). When an environmental change is detected, the HK phosphorylates its cognate response regulator (RR). While cognate interactions were considered orthogonal, experimental evidence shows the prevalence of crosstalk interactions between non-cognate HK–RR pairs. Currently, crosstalk interactions have been demonstrated for TCS proteins in a limited number of organisms. By providing specificity predictions across entire TCS networks for a large variety of organisms, the ELIHKSIR web server assists users in identifying interactions for TCS proteins and their mutants. To generate specificity scores, a global probabilistic model was used to identify interfacial couplings and local fields from sequence information. These couplings and local fields were then used to construct Hamiltonian scores for positions with encoded specificity, resulting in the specificity score. These methods were applied to 6676 organisms available on the ELIHKSIR web server. Due to the ability to mutate proteins and display the resulting network changes, there are nearly endless combinations of TCS networks to analyze using ELIHKSIR. The functionality of ELIHKSIR allows users to perform a variety of TCS network analyses and visualizations to support TCS research efforts.  相似文献

Hydrogen bonding between carbazole and pyridine is known to quench fluorescence emission of carbazole. Three carbazolopyridinophanes—compounds composed of carbazole and pyridine subunits such that an intramolecular hydrogen bond may exist between them—have been pursued as reversible fluorescent sensors that detect given analytes through fluorescence restoration. However, these sensors exhibit background fluorescence believed to be related to the proportion of non‐hydrogen‐bonded conformers present. In this computational investigation, the potential energy surfaces of various hydrogen‐bonded carbazole:pyridine complexes are investigated using density functional theory with the intent of explaining the observed background fluorescence for the carbazolopyridinophanes. The results indicate carbazolopyridinophane conformers most resembling the geometry of their corresponding free carbazole:pyridine complexes exhibit the least background fluorescence.  相似文献
