Spin polarization effect for Tc2 molecule

Density functional method (DFT) (B3p86) of Gaussian98 has been used to optimize the structure of the Tc_2 molecule. The result shows that the ground state for Tc_2 molecule is an 11-multiple state and its electronic configuration is {}^{11}Σ_g^-, which shows the spin polarization effect of Tc_2 molecule of a transition metal element for the first time. Meanwhile, we have not found any spin pollution because the wavefunction of the ground state does not mingle with wavefunctions of higher energy states. So, that the ground state for Tc_2 molecule is an 11-multiple state is indicative of the spin polarization effect of Tc_2 molecule of a transition metal element: that is, there exist 10 parallel spin electrons. The non-conjugated electron is greatest in number. These electrons occupy different spacious tracks, so that the energy of Tc_2 molecule is minimized. It can be concluded that the effect of parallel spin of the Tc_2 molecule is larger than the effect of the conjugated molecule, which is obviously related to the effect of electron d delocalization. In addition, the Murrell--Sorbie potential functions with the parameters for the ground state {}^{11}Σ_g^- and other states of Tc_2 molecule are derived. Dissociation energy D_e for the ground state of T_{c2} molecule is 2.266eV, equilibrium bond length R_e is 0.2841nm, vibration frequency ω_e is 178.52cm^{-1}. Its force constants f_2, f_3, and f_4 are 0.9200aJ·nm^{-2}, --3.5700aJ·nm^{-3}, 11.2748aJ·nm^{-4} respectively. The other spectroscopic data for the ground state of Tc_2 molecule ω_eχ_e, B_e, α_e are 0.5523cm^{-1}, 0.0426cm^{-1}, 1.6331×10^{-4}cm^{-1} respectively.     

A stable dual-wavelength fiber laser with tunable wavelength spacing using a polarization-maintaining linear cavity

We propose and experimentally demonstrate a stable dual-wavelength erbium-doped polarization-maintaining (PM) fiber laser with tunable wavelength spacing using an all-PM linear cavity that makes use of two reflection peaks from the PM fiber Bragg grating (PM-FBG). Experimental results show stable dual lasing lines with a wavelength separation of ∼0.22 nm and a large optical signal-to-noise ratio (OSNR) of over 40 dB under room temperature. By applying axial strain to the PM-FBG, the center wavelengths of the two lasing lines can be tuned over several nanometers and the wavelength separation between the lasing lines can also be tuned to as small as 0.05 nm, which, to our knowledge, is the smallest wavelength spacing ever obtained from a stable room-temperature dual-wavelength fiber laser. The proposed laser configuration has the advantages of simple structure, low loss, stable dual-wavelength operation and a very small lasing linewidth of ∼5 kHz . An efficient one‐pot synthesis of novel pyrimidoquinoline derivatives under microwave irradiation without catalyst

A series of pyrimidoquinoline derivatives were synthesized through one‐pot condensation of 2,6‐diaminopyrimidin‐4‐one, aldehyde and cyclic a 1,3‐dicarbonyl compound in glycol under microwave irradiation without catalyst. The protocol in the absence of catalyst has the advantage of good yield (87‐95%), short reaction time (4‐7 min) and an environmentally friendly technique.     

On the degree of convergence of lemniscates in finite connected domains

For an arbitrary bounded closed set E in the complex plane with complement Ω of finite connectivity, we study the degree of convergence of the lemniscates in Ω.     

2,9-disubstituted 1,10-phenanthroline nickel complexes: Syntheses,characterization, and their ethylene oligomerization

Nickel complexes 1–4 ligated with 2,9-disubstituted-1,10-phenanthroline were synthesized and characterized by FT-IR spectra and elemental analysis. The molecular structure of complex 2 was confirmed by X-ray crystal diffraction analysis. Activated with methylaluminoxane (MAO), those complexes showed moderate activities for ethylene oligomerization. Published in Kinetika i Kataliz, 2007, Vol. 48, No. 5, pp. 710–714. A novel synthesis of 5-perfluorophenyl 4,5-dihydro-1H-pyrazoles in THF or water

5-Perfluorophenyl 4,5-dihydro-1H-pyrazoles were synthesized from 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition reaction of perfluorobenyl 2,4,6-triisopropylbenzenesulfonylhydrazone and α,β-unsaturated carbonyl compounds or acrylonitrile in THF or water. It was worthy to note that better results were obtained when water was employed as the solvent, which was considered as an effective, economic and environmentally friendly method to synthesize these pyrazole derivatives.     

Multi-layer thin films/substrate system subjected to non-uniform misfit strains

Current methodologies used for the inference of thin film stress through curvature measurement are strictly restricted to stress and curvature states that are assumed to remain uniform over the entire film/substrate system. These methodologies have recently been extended to a single layer of thin film deposited on a substrate subjected to the non-uniform misfit strain in the thin film. Such methodologies are further extended to multi-layer thin films deposited on a substrate in the present study. Each thin film may have its own non-uniform misfit strain. We derive relations between the stresses in each thin film and the change of system curvatures due to the deposition of each thin film. The interface shear stresses between the adjacent films and between the thin film and the substrate are also obtained from the system curvatures. This provides the basis for the experimental determination of thin film stresses in multi-layer thin films on a substrate.     

Synthesis, X-ray diffraction study, and ionic conductivity of new AB2O6 pyrochlores

The oxides A(Ti_0.5Te_1.5)O₆ (A = K, Rb, Cs, Tl), A(Ti_0.5W_1.5)O₆ (A = Rb, Cs, Tl), and Cs(B_0.5W_1.5)O₆ (B = Zr, Hf) have been obtained as polycrystalline powders giving X-ray diffraction patterns characteristic of defect cubic pyrochlores, space group (No. 227), Z = 8. The best discrepancy R factors, from 0.0265 for Rb(Ti_0.5Te_1.5)O₆ to 0.0554 for Cs(Zr_0.5W_1.5)O₆, were obtained for the B cations randomly distributed at 16(d), A ions at one quarter of 32(e), and oxygen atoms at 48(f) positions. A linear relationship is observed between the a unit cell parameters and the ionic radii of the A cations, as well as the average ionic radii of the B atoms. The results of electrical resistivity measurements for A(Ti_0.5Te_1.5)O₆ (A = K, Rb, Cs, Tl) are given.

本文提出从高分辨电子显微像中,利用光学、全息和部分相干等方法,提取传递函数,制作相位和振幅滤波器,实现解卷,提高高分辨电子显微像的分辨率.     

Grafting onto poly(ethylene terephthalate) driven by 172 nm UV light

The reactivity of the surface of poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET) film under 172 nm UV irradiation (xenon excimer lamp) towards nitrogen-borne 1-octene, n-nonane and heptafluorodecene vapor was investigated. Materials receiving from 0 to 24 J/cm² of UV were examined by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), time of flight secondary ion mass spectroscopy (ToF/SIMS), water and mineral oil contact angle measurement and atomic force microscopy (AFM). A uniform nanoscale layer developed on PET surface attributed to the grafting reaction between photolytically-produced polymer radicals and vapor phase molecules.
