Flat-top interleavers with chromatic dispersion compensator based on phase dispersive free space Mach-Zehnder interferometer

In this paper, novel interleavers using circular cavities (CC) in a Mach-Zehnder interferometer (MZI) has been presented and demonstrated for the first time, in which CCs act as phase dispersive mirrors which exhibit a periodic dependence on the frequency of light. Three implementation schemes have been proposed and investigated. Theoretical analysis shows the spectral characteristics of each scheme in a 50-GHz channel spacing application. Furthermore, the chromatic dispersion (CD) of each output comb can be flattened within passband by appending an additional CC. The result shows that the proposed designs with novel interferometer technique can simultaneously provide flat top passbands, high isolation stopband and low CD value as well.     

How to find the Lax pair from the Yang-Baxter equation

We show explicitly how to construct the quantum Lax pair from the Yang-Baxter equation. We demonstrate the new method by applying it to the Heisenberg XYZ model.Supported by DOE contract DE-FG02-88ER25053     

Preparation and Mechanical Properties of Fe3Al Nanostructured Intermetallics

Nanostructured Fe₃Al intermetallic compounds were produced by using hydrogen arc plasma method. The transmission electron microscopy experiments showed that the average particle size of the as-synthesized was about 40-nm. The change in hardness of Fe₃Al nanostructured intermetallic compounds with annealing temperatures was observed and evaluated.

DESIGN OF A NOVEL 2-D UNIPLANAR CRLH-TL STRUCTURE

A novel uniplanar 2-D composite right/left-handed transmission line (CRLH-TL) structure is proposed based on a general transmission line theory and the way to increase the relative operating bandwidth in the left-handed (LH) region and lower the LH operating frequency is illustrated. In addition, a new method to extract parameters and calculate the Bloch impedance of the structure is presented. Numerical results of the dispersion as well as the extracted parameters are given, which are calculated based on full-wave simulation. The present 2-D uniplanar CRLH-TL structure is applicable to 2-D left-handed materials in lower and wider LH frequency range. 部分相干光束通过硬边光阑的推广光束传输M2因子

给出部分相干光通过硬边光阑后的强度二阶矩的计算公式，由此可得到部分相干光通过硬边光阑后的推广光束传输M^2因子。以部分相干高斯－谢尔模型光束为例，推导出相应的M^2因子，并作了数值计算和分析讨论。     

神经网络在工程爆破应力波规律探讨中的应用

采用BP（Back Propagation)前馈人工神经网络模型，对工程爆破中柱状震源的自由场应力波传播规律进行了探讨。结果表明：利用人神经网络模型的非线性映射功能，可以较好地给出工程爆破引起的近区自由场力学规律，对于同类型问题的研究，也有着很重要的意义。     

基于超分子结构共掺杂纳米复合薄膜的制备与荧光特性

为改善功能分了的特性,提出一种基于金属纳米粒子-偶氮染料复合物共掺杂超分子结构功能材料的设计新方法.并依照此方法制备出复合材料,观测了其显微结构,测量了其紫外-可见光吸收,研究了该超分子结构复合体系的荧光特性.实验发现,由于金属银纳米粒子的掺杂,使得超分子结构复合体系中功能分子甲基橙在溶液态体系的荧光强度增强近5倍,而在两种不同结构(共混结构和包覆结构)的薄膜态超分子结构体系中,其荧光强度分别被猝灭15%和20%.研究结果表明,复合膜中采用超分子结构完全能够改善功能分子的特性.

利用扫描隧道显微镜研究石墨表面的大尺度周期性图样．研究结果表明,莫尔图起源于石墨深层的缺陷,实验结果与理论完全吻合,并且第一次在实验上证明了纳米波可以穿透多层石墨而没有明显衰减．     

多元线性回归应用于近代物理实验

本文介绍非线性方程转化直线性方程和多元线性回归法来分析近代物理实验中塞曼效应分裂干涉圆环多处选点测量的处理过程。
