Threshold structures, reminiscent of those seen in the polar hydrogen halides, have recently been observed in the cross sections for electron impact excitation of certain vibrational levels of the nonpolar CO2 molecule. These structures occur at energies outside the range where shape resonances dominate the dynamics. We propose a virtual state model that describes the multidimensional nuclear dynamics during the collision and explains quantitatively the selectivity observed in the excitation of the Fermi dyad, as well as the pattern of threshold peaks and oscillations seen in the upper levels of the higher polyads. 相似文献

Metabolite concentrations in normal adult brains and in gliomas were quantitatively analyzed by in vivo proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS) using the fully relaxed water signal as an internal standard. Between January 1998 and October 2001, 28 healthy volunteers and 18 patients with gliomas were examined by in vivo proton MRS. Single-voxel spectra were acquired using the point-resolved spectroscopic (PRESS) pulse sequence with a 1.5 T scanner (TR/TE/Ave = 3000 ms/30 ms/64). The calculated concentrations of N-acetyl-aspartate (NAA), creatine (Cre), choline (Cho), and water(H(2)O) in the normal hemispheric white matter were 23.59 +/- 2.62 mM (mean +/- SD), 13.06 +/- 1.8 mM, 4.28 +/- 0.8 mM, and 47280.96 +/- 5414.85 mM, respectively. The metabolite concentrations were not necessarily uniform in different parts of the brain. The concentrations of NAA and Cre decreased in all gliomas (p < 0.001). The NAA/Cho and NAA/H(2)O ratios can distinguish the normal brain from gliomas and low-grade from high-grade astrocytoma (p < 0.001). The concentration of taurine (Tau) in medulloblastomas was 29.64 +/- 5.76 mM. This is the first quantitative analysis of Tau in medulloblastoma in vivo and confirms earlier in vitro findings. 相似文献

Indiscriminate adsorption of nanoparticles (NPs) significantly complicates the preparation of mesoscale NP patterns considered as enabling technology for many devices and processes. Instead of selected chemical functionalization of the substrate surface prior to the assembly of nanocolloids, the required optical properties - in our case, high quantum yield luminescence - are imparted to the layer-by-layer assembled films by spatially selected photoactivation. The films are made by sequential adsorption of a positively charged polyelectrolyte and a negatively charged CdSe/CdS aqueous dispersion with an initial quantum yield of 0.5-2%. The photoactivation process takes place in the presence of oxygen and may be accompanied by photoetching. A 50-500-fold increase in the luminescence intensity of CdSe/CdS citrate-stabilized particles (quantum yield 25-45%) after visible light illumination provides excellent pattern contrast. Micron scale luminescence patterns were produced from NPs of various CdSe core diameters with red, yellow, and green emission. It was also demonstrated that different emission colors such as orange and green can be combined in one image by taking advantage of spatially selective photoetching. The presented optical patterning technique significantly simplifies the preparation of luminescence patterns as compared to conventional methods. The high signal-to-noise ratio associated with it is essential for optical devices, information processing, and biophotonics. The most immediate use of this approach is expected in cryptography and cell monitoring. 相似文献

A 3-dB paired interference (PI) optical coupler in silicon-on-insulator (SOI) based on rib waveguides with trapezoidal cross section was designed with simulation by a modified finite-difference beam propagation method (FD-BPM) and fabricated by potassium hydroxide (KOH) anisotropic chemical wet etching. Theoretically, tolerances of width, length,and port distance are more than 1, 100, and 1 μm, respectively.Smooth interface was obtained with the propagation loss of 1.1 dB/crn at the wavelength of 1.55μm. It is found that the fluorescence intensity of Tb3+-oxolinic acid (OA) complex can be greatly quenched by albumins in sodium dodecyl sulphate (SLS). Under optimum conditions, the quenched fluorescence intensity is in proportion to the concentration of proteins in the range of 5.0×10−8-1.0×10−5 g ml−1 for bovine serum albumin (BSA), 1.0×10−7-1.0×10−5 g ml−1 for human serum albumin (HSA) and 4.0×10−7-1.0×10−5 g ml−1 for egg albumin (EA). To exploit an effective way to improve polymeric photovoltaic performance, a series of dithiophene‐benzothiadiazole‐alt‐fluorene copolymers containing carbazole groups at C‐9 positions of the alternating fluorene units (PFO‐FCz‐DBT) were synthesized and characterized. The effect of the carbazole groups on the optophysical, electrochemical, and photovoltaic properties of these copolymers was investigated. By comparison, this type of copolymers with carbazole units exhibited significantly improved photovoltaic properties than poly(2,7‐(9,9‐dioctyl‐fluorene)‐alt‐5,5‐(4′,7′‐di‐2‐thienyl‐2′,1′,3′‐benzothiadiazole) (PFO‐DBT) in the bulk heterojunction solar cells. A maximum power‐conversion efficiency (PCE) of 2.41% and a highest short‐circuit current density (Jsc) of 9.68 mA cm?2 were obtained for the PFO‐FCz‐DBT30, which are about two times higher than the corresponding levels for the PFO‐DBT30. This work demonstrated that introducing a hole‐transporting carbazole unit into copolymer is a simple and effective method to improve the Jsc and PCE. © 2011 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The global responses characteristics of a rotor/stator rubbing system with dry friction effects 总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2
Rotor/stator rubbing systems may undertake a number of quite different responses. Recent experiments on rotor/stator rubbing have revealed that two or three different responses may coexist. In this paper the global response characteristics of a general rotor/stator rubbing system, which takes into account the dominant factors in the process of rotor/stator rubbing, especially, the dry friction effect that is mostly neglected in the previous works and is the main factor for the self-excited dry friction backward whirl, are studied. The different solutions of the piecewise nonlinear system are derived and their stability are analyzed to get the existence boundaries of the different responses. An overall picture of the global response characteristics of this model is then obtained by drawing the existence boundaries in a same parameter space. The present results provide good understanding on the coexistence of different rubbing responses observed in tests. Moreover, deeper insight into the types of coexistence of different rubbing responses and their relationship with the system parameters is gained. 相似文献
