A new isoprenyl phenyl ether compound from mangrove fungus

A new isoprenyl phenyl ether, 3-hydroxy-4-(3-methylbut-2-enyloxy)benzoic acid methyl ester (1), together with 4-hydroxybenzoic acid (2), 2-hydroxy-6-methylbenzoic acid (3), and 4-hydroxy-3-methoxybenzoic acid (4) were isolated from Mangrove fungus (No. B60) from the South China Sea. The structures of the compounds were established on the basis of NMR spectroscopic and mass spectrometric data. In the preliminary bioassay, compound 1 exhibited antibacterial and antifungal activities. Compound 1 also inhibited cytotoxicity to the hepG2 cell line with an IC₅₀ value of 10.0 μg/mL. Detection-dependent kinetics as a probe of folding landscape microstructure

The folding landscapes of polypeptides and proteins exhibit a hierarchy of local minima. The causes range from proline isomerization all the way down to microstructure in the free energy caused by residual frustration inherent in even the best 20 amino acid design. The corresponding time scales range from hours to submicroseconds. The smallest microstructures are difficult to detect. We have measured the folding/unfolding kinetics of the engineered trpzip2 peptide at different tryptophan fluorescence wavelengths, each yielding a different rate. Wavelength-dependent folding kinetics on 0.1-2 mus time scales show that different microstructures with a range of solvent exposure and local dynamics are populated. We estimate a lower limit for the roughness of the free energy surface based on the range of rates observed.     

Potentiometric immunosensor based on antiserum of Japanese B encephalitis immobilized in nano-Au/polymerized o-phenylenediamine film

A novel potentiometric immunosensor for detection of Japanese B encephalitis vaccine was developed by immobilizing antiserum of Japanese B encephalitis on nano-Au/polymerized o-phenylenediamine (o-PDA) film on the platinum (Pt) electrode. The performance and factors influencing the performance of the resulting immunosensor were studied. The immunosensor showed a specific response to Japanese B encephalitis vaccine in the range 1.1 × 10⁻⁸ to 2.0 × 10⁻⁶ lgpfu/ml (plaque forming unit) with a detection limit of 6 × 10⁻⁹ lgpfu/ml. The correlation coefficient is 0.9986. The incubation time, incubation temperature, pH, reproducibility and stability of the immunosensor were also studied. The present work supplied a promising test method for biological products.     

Chemical constituents from the roots of <Emphasis Type="Italic">Polygonum bistorta</Emphasis>

Investigation of the roots of Polygonum bistorta L. afforded seven compounds including five triterpenoids, a coumarin, and a steroid, the structures of which were identified by EIMS, ¹H NMR, ¹³C NMR, DEPT, and HMBC experiments. Synthesis, antitumor and DNA photocleaving activities of novel naphthalene carboxamides: effects of different thio-heterocyclic rings and aminoalkyl side chains

Two kinds of thio-heterocyclic fused naphthalene carboxamides, 3a-b, 4a-b, were designed, synthesized and quantitatively evaluated as efficient antitumor and DNA photocleaving agents. Compound 3a or 3b, having the thiophene ring, intercalated into DNA more strongly than compound 4a or 4b, having the thioxanthene ring. Compound 4a or 4b, photocleaved DNA more efficiently than 3a or 3b via superoxide anion. Compound 4a was the strongest inhibitor for P388 (murine leukemia cell), while 3a was the most cytotoxic one against A549 (human lung cancer cell). Each new compound showed stronger DNA photocleaving activity than corresponding naphthalimide.     

简法合成甲地孕酮

本文报道了合成甲地孕酮的简便方法,即以17α-乙酰氧基-黄体酮(3)为原料,将其烯醇醚(4)经Mannich反应,或将△~(3,5)-3,17α-二乙酰氧基-黄体酮(2)与二乙氧基甲烷反应,生成6-次甲基-17α-乙酰氧基-黄体酮(5),然后将5用钯/碳酸钙作催化剂转位得目的物甲地孕酮(6b),总收率分别为56%和50%(均以17α-羟基-黄体酮(1)为起始物)。     

硅胶担载四核羰基钴催化剂的EXAFS和IR研究

本文以透射法EXAFS和IR等手段研究了四核羰基钴金属簇Co_4(CO)_(10)(PPh)_2担载在SiO_2上以后及用于烯烃醛化反应前后的变化,确定了相应的结构参数并探讨了催化活性与结构的关系。     

Photoisomerization and photodissociation of aniline and 4-methylpyridine

Photoisomerization and photodissociation of aniline and 4-methylpyridine at 193 nm were studied separately using multimass ion imaging techniques. Photofragment translational energy distributions and dissociation rates were measured. Our results demonstrate that more than 23% of the ground electronic state aniline and 10% of 4-methylpyridine produced from the excitation by 193 nm photons after internal conversion isomerize to seven-membered ring isomers, followed by the H atom migration in the seven-membered ring, and then rearomatize to both methylpyridine and aniline prior to dissociation. The significance of this isomerization is that the carbon, nitrogen, and hydrogen atoms belonging to the alkyl or amino groups are involved in the exchange with those atoms in the aromatic ring during the isomerization.
