Study of urinary nucleosides as biological marker in cancer patients analyzed by micellar electrokinetic capillary chromatography

Thirteen normal and modified nucleosides, primarily degradation products of transfer ribonucleic acid (tRNA), were evaluated as potential tumor markers for cancer patients. Their urinary concentrations were determined by means of micellar electrokinetic capillary chromatography (MEKC) in the urine from 54 healthy adults and 70 cancer patients, then quantitatively expressed as a function of creatinine excretion. It was found that urinary nucleosides for cancer patients were on the average significantly higher than those for healthy controls, however, no significant differences were found between male and female or between different ages. Based on 13 urinary nucleoside concentrations, principal component analysis (PCA) could be used to classify 72% of cancer patients from the healthy controls. The present study shows that the precise measurement of urinary nucleosides by MEKC in combining with PCA technique may provide a clinically useful approach for diagnosis of cancer.     

Correlation between Site ll-Specific Human Serum Albumin (HSA) Binding Affinity and Murine in vivo Photosensitizing Efficacy of Some Photofrin Components

Human serum albumin (HSA) is one of the key components in human blood that may influence drug distribution. As such, it is important to know the affinity of any drug for albumin. Previously, Photofrina mixture of monomeric, dimeric and oligomeric porphyrins, has been subjected to HSA binding studies. However, due to its complex nature, binding studies on Photofrin or other hematoporphyrin derivatives with HSA are inconclusive. In this report, the binding properties of some components (dimers and trimers) of Photofrin® and the relationship between murine photosensitizing efficacy and those binding properties were investigated. The interaction of these porphyrins with HSA was investigated by direct ultrafiltration and fluorescent titration techniques with fluorescent probes such as dansyl-L-proline (DP), which is known to interact selectively with site II on HSA. Porphyrins also were tested for antitumor activity in a mouse model following intravenous administration and exposure to laser light. Together, the results suggest that the photosensitizers that were preferentially bound to site II of HSA were most effective at controlling murine tumor regrowth     

Decomposition of Transformer Oil Under Ultrasonic Irradiation During Degassing Process

In the degassing process of transformer oil with ultrasonic waves ,decompostition of the oil was observed.Light hydrocarbons,including methane,ethane,ethylene ,aceylene,propane etc,were found to be released continuously from the oil into headspace within a closed vial placed in an ultrasonic field ,The gases came from decomposition of hydrocarbon molecules under cavitation effect.

Measurements of circular polarization correlations following excitation of Ar and Kr by electron impact

We report measurements of the circular polarization correlation parameterP ₃ for the excitation of the 4s′[1/2] _j=1 state in Ar by 40 eV electrons and for the excitation of the Kr 5s[3/2] _J=1 state by 30 eV electrons at electron scattering angles up to 50°. The measured Ar data are compared to predictions of a distorted wave Born approximation (DWBA). The agreement is in general not very good with theory predictingP ₃ values considerably larger than the measured values in the regime of small scattering angles. In Kr, where the measured data are compared to theoretical predictions from a DWBA, a first-order many-body theory (FOMBT) and a relativistic distorted wave theory (RDW), the level of agreement between experiment and theory is somewhat better. The measuredP ₃ parameters in conjunction with the previously measured linear coherence parametersP ₁ undP ₂ under the same scattering conditions yield the total polarizationP _tot ⁺ which is a measure for the level of coherence in the excitation process. In both cases studied here, we found values of eliminateP _tot ⁺ that were consistent with a fully coherent excitation process.     

Self-assembly of lanthanide mixed-carboxylates coordination polymers

Two new mixed-ligands lanthanide coordination polymers, [Ln(Ac)(ip)(H₂O)₂]·0.5H₂O (Ln=La (1); Ln=Eu (2); Ac=acetate; ip=isophthalate) have been synthesized under hydrothermal condition. Single-crystal X-ray analyses show that complexes 1 and 2 are three-dimensional structure in which lanthanide ions are bridged by monocarboxylate ligand, acetate or dicarboxylate ligand, isophthalate. And the central lanthanide ions, La³⁺ and Eu³⁺, are both nine-coordinate with oxygen atoms. The thermogravimetric analysis was carried out to examine the thermal stability of the title complexes. And the photoluminescence property of complex 2 was also investigated.     

Synthesis and characterization of complexes of UO2(II) and Th(IV) of bis-schiff bases derived from furoylpyrazolone

Four new complexes of UO₂(II) and Th(IV) with bis-Schiff bases, derived from N,N'-bis[(l-phenyl-3-methyl-5-oxo-4-pyrazolinyl)-a-furylmethylidyne]-1,2-propylenediimine [1,2-BPMOPFP-H₂] and N,N'- bis[(l-phenyl-3-methyl-5-oxo-4-pyrazolinyl)-a-furylmethylidyne]-1,3-propylenediimine [1,3-BPMOPFP-H₂], were synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR, UV, ¹HNMR spectroscopy, and molar conductivity. The general formula of the complexes was confirmed to be [UO₂(BPMOPFP)], [Th(BPMOPFP)(NO₃)]NO₃. A possible structure for the complexes have been proposed.     

计算机Monte Carlo法模拟自由基交联共聚网络结构的增长

本文成功地用MonteCarlo方法模拟了以画面方式表示的苯乙烯-二乙烯苯交联共聚反应中大分子链增长、支化及交联的进化情况，并给出了相应的转化率，以定量模型的方式描述了该类反应。     

Palladium‐Catalyzed Three‐Component Coupling Reaction of Allyl Carboxylates,Norbornenes and Diboronates Involving Sequential Olefins Insertion and Borylation Reaction

An efficient Pd‐catalyzed three‐component coupling reaction of allyl carboxylates, norbornenes and diboronates is described, which allows efficient assembly of C(sp³)—C(sp³) and C(sp³)—B bonds in a single process. Moreover, this approach shows advantages of good chemo‐ and regioselectivity, as well as good substrates suitability.
